Week 11: So by now the plant has stopped or at least slowed down drastically on the stretching. It’s stacking up on the buds and some of them fattening up amazingly. Trichomes are generally milky white but still have some clear ones so going to wait a bit more than probably start flushing next week, but obviously depending on the coming days and how it develops.

I am very happy with bloom. The plants are showing some amber trichomes very early. Some of it may be from bruising from me reaching over them?

This cycle was really fun! I chopped 142 gs of wet plant. This time I’m gonna dry in the closet with all the leafs on for 4 days.. Pics of harvest are uploaded! 30 sweety grams for me and my gf ;) Taste is mellow, but I can taste the sweey sour taste tipical of SweetZZ! I grew the same strain with organic fertilizers and it tasted a little better, but this one with was fed with Hesi nutrients and it’s more strong than the organic one! Diarie continues with her sister!

Snowcaine V2. is looking to win the "chunky girl" award and take home the yeild queen trophy. She has also stolen my "eye" from mystery strain. In the next 7 days they will start to come down! :) Gave the girls a bit of a poodle trim. Only did about half the tent due to time restrictions in my real world life. Hopefully there is enough time for the light to even them out down below. BingoBango!

Hey guys! So, finally Saturday I chopped her down. She looked now ready and delicious, although I only notice yesterday how many seeds she has allover the place. She hermied in front of me without noticing, not good at all and need to start looking much better and in detail into the plants. Feel like an idiot now. Anyways, it was a full week! Emptied the grinder collector and pressed it down a little, makes a very nice smoke, light but pleasant, the kind of stuff it keep you going all day without the dumb effect. From all trimming made the bubble hash. Got a little too green as the 220micron bag's stitches slightly opened letting some contaminants in the final mix, hence the green color. This was a hit. in opposition to the grinder stuff, this sent me straight to the moon, really heavy stone effect, even thinking was hard. Reminded me those afghan/ moroccan balls we used to get back in the early 2000's. The weed itself it's still drying so the smoke report will be updated in there. 715g of fresh cut plant is good, let's see the potency and the seeds. Might turn it all into bubble hash, if I see it'll be an hassle to remove seeds. On an earlier bud I've cut and dried, smoked it and you can see pure white ashes in the bong. Ain't that a beauty?

I think there’s been some sort of salt build up / nutrient lock. The lower leaves have been turning a lighter green and some even yellow on SL plants. Most stems are red. Seems like it’s a pH problem. I flushed them with 4-5 litres of water to reduce the nutrient concentration in the roots. Going to introduce molasses in next feeding! Organic Unsulphered And also stop the Micro (nitrogen)

The girls come back inside when the weather is uncooperative. Indoor temp is around 70 and humidity around 60-65%. Otherwise pretty much the same as prior weeks.

Week 7, we are in full flower and I show you the feeding today, very simple and not much to it. The plant drinks this 25 liter tank empty like nothing, that's a good sign, she takes in the nutrients and grows rapidly. Still cleaning some leaves and branches here and there, will update when we made some more progress, so far everything is going well.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Hola a todos, día 81 de floración, en las últimas semanas antes de la cosecha, ya se ven los primeros tricomas de color ámbar, la planta ya muestra señales de la disminución de los nutrientes, se ve un degradado natural en la tonalidad del verde de las hojas, sin zonas necróticas salvo las quemaduras de las hojas más cercanas al foco. De aquí en adelante ya no queda mucho trabajo por hacer, observar y reposicionar las ramas que caen por el peso. Hasta la próxima semana!

Starting flush as they are looking two/three weeks off

Hello Growmies, The final chapter of this incredible journey has unfolded, and it's time to share the bountiful harvest and reflections on the entire cultivation process. Trimming the plant was a joy, and with gentle fingers, I removed all the large fan leaves. The precision in this process revealed the true beauty of the buds, setting the stage for a smooth harvest. With care and gratitude, the plant was chopped, and the buds were hung to dry. The anticipation for what lies ahead only adds to the sense of accomplishment. The wet weight, excluding fan leaves, stands at an impressive 782 grams. The buds are massive, a testament to the efficacy of the nutrients used, particularly the Power Buds. The name seems apt, as the result is a collection of sticky, dense buds with subtle lemon notes and sweet pungent undertones. In the final moments, the plant unveiled some delightful purple hues. While I wish I could have allowed them to intensify further, it's a reminder that each grow is a learning experience. In hindsight, a slightly longer fading period would have accentuated those beautiful colors. We live and learn, and that's the essence of this journey. This #40 and #42 plants from Ganja Farmer Seeds where the best out of them all, this is a bias review though as they where not all grown in the same bucket system as these two and thus could not grow to their true potential. The bugs where solid rock hard and crystaly They are true keepers if your wanted a good performing auto for shits and giggle outdoors. The major downside is how easily they got pests and how the pests preferred them over the other weed plants. this is a bit concerning to me and makes me wonder why. This girl is growing amazingly and she stinks you Thai Mint 😍 She’s definitely my one of favourite strains. Most of her pistils have receded and once they have all done I’ll start checking her trichomes. I think it’ll be around 2 weeks before harvest and a bud wash. Happy growing 🤙🏿
