Week 02 Introduction
This week has been a bit of a struggle. Had my first experience dealing with slime and brown algae. But I think adding enzymes and increasing the beneficial bacteria helped to fix the issue. Also experienced nutrient burn for the first time. My nutrient solution strength got as high as 671 PPMs. So backed it down to about 430 PPMs during the end-of-week reservoir change. Also cut Hydroguard (expired?), CaliMagic, and Superthrive from this grow. Now she's still stunted, but is starting to recover. Hopefully...

Day 01 - Monday - 08/10/20 - Total Days: 008

Day 02 - Tuesday - 08/11/20 - Total Days: 009

--- Since I didn't want to risk over-watering the rockwool, I did not to do a top feed, may do one tonight after the sleep cycle (lights are still set to go off at 10am and back on at 4pm).
--- As I was doing a reservoir change, I noticed that the tubes and bucket were a bit slimy. Didn't really stink or anything. Is this normal? Maybe due to the Hydroguard and Voodoo Juice?

- [2215]: Getting larger! But still yellow.
--- Also can see a root growing through the net pot! Tiny little thing but it's there! Will have to start dropping water once more appear.
--- After looking over a few DWC diaries using AN nutes, seems like my solution strength is still too low. Most around this stage average around 500 PPMs with about 4ml per gallon.
--- Top fed for a minute to wet the top of the hydroton.
--- Solution strength went down to 263 PPM.
--- Added 8ml more of Sensi A
--- Added 8ml more of Sensi B
--- Now base nutes are at 16ml for 4.5 gal of water.
--- PPMs went up to 411.
--- Still lower than 500 PPMs, but that's okay.
--- PH was at 6. Not sure if I should adjust PH using AN nutes. So going to not ajdust unless PH goes above 6.1.
Day 03 - Wednesday - 08/12/20 - Total Days: 010

--- She still looks yellow. But leaves are perky.
--- PH was at 6.2 so lowered down to 5.8.
--- Solution strength was at 394 PPMs
--- Since roots are still growing, I decide to lower the water level a bit. Now water level is a bit below the net pot.
- [2200]: Root is getting longer!
--- Slime is returning. Not sure why.
--- Solution strength: 357 PPMs
--- PH: 6.1
--- Decided to add an enzyme along with more beneficial bacteria to hopefully cure the slime.
--- Added 16ml of Sensizym
--- Added 5ml of Hydroguard
--- Added 8ml of Voodoo Juice
--- New solution strength: 430 PPMs
--- New PH: 6.1
--- Top fed for a minute.
--- This slimy residue is really freaking me out! I hope the added enzymes will help eliminate the slime.
--- Going to do a full reservoir sterilization/nutrient change over the weekend. Please survive until then girl!
Day 04 - Thursday - 08/13/20 - Total Days: 011

- [0930]: I think the enzymes worked! There is little to no slime now!
--- Although I think the root was also dissolved in the process. It's now just a little stub sticking just below the net pot. The enzyme is also suppose to dissolved dead roots too but guess that root was too weak? Not sure what happened there. But I think the slime is cured!
--- Solution strength went down to 395 PPMs. Decided to add more base nutrients.
--- Added 8ml of Sensi A
--- Added 8ml of Sensi B
--- Added 4ml of B-52
--- Solution strength went up to 598 PPMs.
--- PH was at 6.1
--- As long as the PH is between 5.5 and 6.3, I'm not going to use PH Up or Down. But still will monitor PH levels.
- [1715]: Checked up on her after her nap and shes looking alive but stunted. But no slime!
--- Decided to add some sugars to help maintain the enzymes and beneficial bacteria.
--- Solution strength was at 587 PPMs.
--- PH was at 6.2
--- Added 8ml of Bud Candy
--- Solution strength went up to 671 PPMs.
--- PH also went up to 6.3
--- Lowered water level a bit to hopefully promote more root growth.
--- Top fed for a minute.
--- She is getting bigger, but still looks yellow.
Day 05 - Friday - 08/14/20 - Total Days: 012

- [0915]: Leaves look a little burnt on the tips. Still no slime.
--- Going to back off on the PPMs to hopefully fix the nutrient toxicity.
--- Solution strength was at 632 PPMs
--- PH was at 6.3
--- Added/Removed water until PPMs were at 536.
--- PH was still at 6.3
--- Raised water up a bit, then top fed for a minute.
- [2200]: Looking better. Still yellow though.
--- Solution strength: 514 PPMs
--- PH: 6.5
--- Added PH down.
--- New solution strength: 518 PPMs
--- New PH: 5.2
--- PH was kind of high. So decided to PH down. Had to use quite a bit to bring it down. But eventually got it to drop down to 5.3. A little low, but so far, the PH has always gone up so wanted to start it really low.
--- Ran the top feed for a minute to re-saturate the top of the hydroton.
Day 06 - Saturday - 08/15/20 - Total Days: 013

--- Top fed for a minute.
--- Not sure what to do at this point. Going to do another reservoir change soon. Hoping she lives until then.
- [2145]: Looking pretty much the same.
--- A bit of slime has returned. Since I've been diluting the nutrient solution, the enzyme ratio has dropped. So I guess this is expected.
--- Also noticed that slime build up was on the air-stones. Never really checked the stones so not sure how long that has been there. Looks brown too, which can't be good.
--- Going to do an H202 sterilization of the system (minus the net pot) tomorrow so did not add anything.
--- Lowered the water level to below the net pot.
--- Then top fed for a minute.
Day 07 - Sunday - 08/16/20 - Total Days: 014

- [0900]: STERILIZATION DAY!
--- Decided to skip today's night cycle for a deep clean.
--- I'm hoping that skipping a night cycle won't be too stressful.
--- Temporarily moved her to a new bucket.
--- Used about a half of gallon of straight distilled water to flush out the net pot.
--- Drained the system and wiped up all the brown sludge. Also removed the air stones and cleaned up all the goo.
--- Filled the system with 2 gallons of distilled water and at least 30ml of food grade hydrogen peroxide (35% strength).
--- Yea its a lot, but since I'm not going to sterilize the system overnight, I went with a really high doseage. Basically I kept adding until I started to see little bubbles start to form.
--- Then I ran the water pump.
- [0915]: Boiled the air stones in tap water for about 10 min. Then reconnected them to the airlines.
--- I let the air stones and hose soak in the sterilization solution for about 5 minutes so the peroxide can absorb into the stones. Then ran the air stone to help mix and agitate the solution.
--- Occasionally, I'd repeat the process of turning the air pump off for a few minutes to let the stones soak.
- [1000]: Covered the top two row of holes of the net pot with some aluminum tape. Hopefully this solves the light leaking in through the hydroton.
- [1200]: Used an old toothbrush and scrubbed the pump clean. Then drained the system.
--- Refilled with more distilled water and peroxide. Again added a lot.
--- Ran system again to sterilize even more.
- [1530]: Drained the system and refilled with distilled water to rinse.
--- Ran the system for a few minutes, then drained and rinsed again.
--- Did this a few more times over about an hour.
- [1630]: Added 4 gallons of fresh distilled water.
--- Added 15ml Sensi Grow A
--- Added 15ml Sensi Grow B
--- Added 12ml of B-52
--- Added 16ml of Voodoo Juice
--- Added 16ml Sensizym
--- Solution strength was at 430 PPMs
--- PH was at 5.6
--- I was going to add Hydroguard, but I think the bottle is expired. Since 2017 or 2018!? I think Hydroguard is good for up to 2 years from the date on the bottle or 6 months after opening. So not going to use from now on. I wonder if this could have contributed to the slime build up.
--- Also removed the CaliMagic and Superthrive too. Going to only use AN products to eliminate the chance of incompatible nutrients.
--- Placed her back in the bucket and top fed for a minute.
--- Here's hoping for the best. Going to let it ride until morning! Please feel better!

la cima apicale risulta un po' piu alta del resto ma ci puo stare anche perche, come si vede, tutte le cime sono ben illuminate
problemi di fertilizzazione quasi nessuno a differenza delle altre che hanno sofferto,come al solito,di carenza di calcio e magnesio
il profumo si fa sentire...non vedo l'ora di vederla in fioritura piena
cosa ho fatto questa settimana:
fertirrigazione ogni 2 giorni perche ho aumentato le dimensioni del vaso e le radici devono ancora espandersi anche se escono gia dai fori in basso...
nelle prossime settimane la fertirrigazione sara' giornaliera
aggiustamenti al LST con rimozione delle foglie piu basse e qualche rametto esterno

Feeding on 6/19 was the same but the PPM was higher at 1220. A bit heavy handed on something.6/19 was a big defoliation day. Fractal had a haircut. I took off all the fan and several feeder leaves. Fractal is average height 3.5’ very indica structured. Very bushy and multibranching. She has one mane stalk with branches unevenly set. The branches have side branches which I cut off.

Opium received only rainwater for the last 2 weeks. Since I was in Colorado last week, I feel very behind on my diaries. Despite my absence, my outside gals did just fine. Opium loves the outside sun, breeze, and frequent rain.
Week 9 6/2-6/8 Now at the start of week 9, my outside gals, except L. Cake are now in flower.
Several pics show the very narrow new leaves and small white hairs evidence of flower formation. 6/7 This is the first time I’ve had to add nutrients to her feeding. Some lower leaves were yellow. Since I’ve been using amended soil, this indicates Fractal is a heavy feeder. Nutrients in soils are used up and she is starting to use her own food sources

Week 10 6/9-15 Fractal loves the outside. She bushy and 3 1/2feet tall. All are showing yellowing leaves so everyone is now getting nutrients with feedings.
I saw a Japanese beetle on my Lemon Cake and some small holes in the leaves so I added 1/2 tsp neem to the feed solution 6/12. Also started using fish & kelp. I'm still watering 1 gal per plant when I feed 2x/week. With the heat and humidity, I water daily but do not feed daily.

I havent been keeping a day by day through this week (More for my sanity than anything else) as I was starting to become a tad obsessed, resulting in this feeling like the end result is even further away. So ive tried to take a more relaxed approach in checking the enviroment throughout the day due to the heat wave we're experiancing. Ive been struggling to keep the humidity high enough, with it regularly sitting around 25-30%. Need a better humidifier but dont have the space on this current one to get a "Smart" one that will regulate for me. Relying on a naff one little one from amazon that has an auto off feature and just doesnt seem to throw out enough vapour. However this is valuable information for the next run!
GG4 - I removed the damaged leaves, as these we're not bouncing back once the pH issue had been rectified. This has allowed for further space for growth which has been filled nicely. This has also been topped this week. Im concerned that im at a height limit within my tent, and currently sitting in the sweet spot for topping autos. Hopefully this will keep it within the parameters of my tent and promote more bud sites! All in all, this has really started to push on, and im so pleased that its bounced back from the start of a pH issue. LST has meant that height measurements are a little scewed now.
Explorer - This has been steady away since day 1, this week it recieved its LST which is already showing signs of further growth. Seems to bulking itself up a bit now, the difference between last week and this week are night and day!
Cindy - Starting to catch up to explorer in terms of growth however is seemingly staying squat for now. Im going to give it a few more days before its LST.
Ariel - My sadest princess was refusing to bounce back from my mistreatment within the 3 gal pot and was taking up precious space and not pulling her weight. Therefore shes been moved into a nursery pot where she will live out the rest of her days in peace. My poor girl...... Shes starting to pull through though!
Due to the heat weve been experiancing it seems that ive been watering more frequently, if not every day at least every other day. Ive tried to back off on how much im watering to compensate and relying on the weight of the pot and also my moisture meter to tell me when to water. HOPEFULLY it keeps me right

Guten morgen liebe Freunde, ich starte hier mein 4. Dairie. Das erste Mal mit Stecklinge, die Ladys sind letzte woche Donnerstag angekommen und jetzt eine Woche im Topf. Der Topf ist bereits komplett durchwurzelt sodass ich sie am Wochenende schon umtopfen kann. Sie bekommen alles 2-3 Tage ca 250-300ml wasser mit 1ml/l S&R organics 5in1 Bio Dünger. Diesmal werde ich nicht mineralisch düngen, sobald sie im Endtopf sind werde ich mit Greenhouse Feeding Bio pulver arbeiten. Allen eine schöne restliche woche und bis bald.

Well... What a very very stressful week this has been, A few pistils started browning. I went over each girl no Nana’s definitely all female, started panicking thinking I maybe had bugs, root rot e.t.c.
Flushed for two days and all new growth showed healthy signs kicking out some serious trichomes! Smells beautiful and PH for the run off was exact.
Gave 1/2 Nutrients/Feed today for the first time just to ease the girls back in but fingers crossed I have either had some PH issues or wind burn possibly.
Had to Defoliate again today as the foliage was ridiculous😂 I hope next week isn’t so stressful 🙏🏻 Wish me luck man please I need it 🤦♂️🏻😅

Just because i realized im not really providing info about my potted grow but I have been using Mother Earth coco plus perlite i added worm castings, bat guano, n vegetable garden 4-4-4. just p.h'd water at 6.50. once in flower i would water with a diluted solution from my dwc and PPM under 200PPM.

This is the 8th week. Thursday will be 9 weeks of 12/12. Some trichs are amber. They just added a good bunch of girth over the past few days, but most of the pistils are red now. The rest of them have been dropping leaves consistenly but the canopy remains full so they must be putting out more leaves.
I just flushed to 80% runoff and found out that I had 1200ppm. I just got an ec meter but my last reading said closer to 600 so idk what happened there.
I flushed until I had runoff ppm of about 150. Now they're back in the grow tent. I don't want to keep assaulting them with my microscope. I think they're ready. Just gonna let them settle another day or two to dry out a bit.
I took one small branch off the small Wedding Cake plant on Thursday and I've just been watching it dry on my counter. It's been 5 days and the stem snaps but still leaves a fiber connecting. I put it into a small jar with a 64RH thing. I just want to try it. It already smells amazing.
The leaves on the big CBD Blue Shark plant are going really yellow and some other colours are starting to come out as well.
The buds all fattened up and got more frosty again. I was worried they were foxtailing but they got more calyxes underneath the peaks and have been making more of a pyramid shape. They're really close to peak. Harvest day will be March 17 or 18.
March 17 1023pm chopped and hung after lights off all day. RH was 65% before I chopped and 50% after I closed the window and cut the plants off the saturated pots. I did a wet trim to prevent mold. The buds are sticky af. Gonna hang them to dry for 7-9 days before curing in jars :)
March 18 : checked the RH when I woke up and it's chilling at 45% 😎
March 19 : just checked to see how they were drying. There are seeds in every plant. RIP
I'll update when I put them in jars and again a few weeks later for final review. Overall it was a good grow despite the rocky start and a good introduction to the mainline technique and my new grow space. Next grow I should have everything pretty well dialed in.
March 23
They were hanging for 3 days. Rh was around 45, then spiked to 65 overnight when I forgot to turn the fans back on. Temp was high at around 26.they felt wet after 2 days, and bone dry after 4 days. The stems still didn't snap but I put them in jars anyway. A day later, jar RH was 50%. I burped all the jars and there was a smell from the new jars. I took all the weed out, washed out the jars, and did a dry trim on the weed.
One of the Wedding Cake plants must have gone hermie. I didn't see any bananas and didn't even realize there were seeds until the very end. The seed pods looked just like calyxes while the plants were growing. Many of the nugs are unusable. Under the sugar leaves are just layers and layers of seeds. Some weren't hit that badly. The CBD Blue Shark is much better off but still has some seeds.
I'm trying to stay positive. It's a bit of a shock though. I'm anxious to try the finished product. If the flowers at least taste good and have a good effect, all is not lost.

Well, looks like this girl is on her way to stretch, which should be interesting.She has extremely tight internodal spacing... Today was a pure control day where all the technology was checked.

Today the room was cleaned, the tent cleaned and the humidifier filled.
For this purpose it was poured with 1 liter today.

Today was again a pure control day :-).

Once again the plant was checked for health and sprayed.
The tent was also cleaned.

Harvesting in a few days! She’s ready! Purple Punch is more like pinesol! Very earthy piney aroma—- guess it’s perfect for Christmas!
Considering this is a solo grow, I’m very happy with the bud quality! Must be that dynomyco! ✌️💚🌿💨

11/24 - Will be Adding Silica and CalMag to watering, 550-600ppm - Lighting Average 625ppfd
11/25 - Drip system in-place and usable. Waiting on my new AC Infinity 8-port controller, then I'll be throwing the pump on a controlled outlet. Figured out flow rate per minute, so I'm hoping I can schedule it to run once daily and essentially auto deliver a specific amount of water. Changed filter sock, there was a bit of residual perlite dust from when I added the top layer to the pots.

8th week of Flowering is over. Buds almost doubled in size except Lemon Orange. Smell is pretty heavy and frosting continues. Mimosa Evo and Runtz can not carry their buds anymore. I had to tie them up.
Trichomes almost fully milky for all ladies but waiting another week to get 20% Amber.
Target VPD is still set to 1,5 with 23 Celcius Target Temp.

Day 2 in the pots they came out beautifully with their seed as a hat! Day 4 they were all 3 1cm out of the ground, they were born!
Day 6 is almost over today and 2/3 seeds go delicious. Both of them already have their first set of real leaves and you can see the next set coming, oewhhh. Unfortunately there is one that I think is less gene/old seed. It sits around half the height and the lobs are almost closed, but hopefully it is still hard 💪 🏼
