Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of veg. This week went smooth enough. Earlier this week I saw a adult male from the rental house behind me trying to look through the fence to see how I was doing on my grow. They don't say Hi they just want to see, so I took a security camera from somewhere else on the property and put it up viewing this area and I haven't seen him since. I hope he or they get the message. I have been concerned that I would get ripped off from them or their buddy's because they usually have a couple of big party's each summer and anyone who was there and was talking about it could come back and break in and help themselves. So far I haven't been ripped off: knock on wood. The plants are stretching out nice. I gave a big watering earlier this week and I'm getting some big fan leaves out now, the roots must have found the compost I mixed in the soil. I would like to flower in a couple of weeks around June 1st so I'm going to try to stretch these girls out as much as possible before then. Just got the garden finished this week. I've planted, chard, lettuce, carrots, beets, beans, tomato's, cilantro, peas, potato's, basil, early squash, zucchini and pumpkins. I think the racoon ate my little broccoli plants when it was scrounging around for worms. 😒 Oh well. Chuck.

Added a second scrog net for the taller plants last Friday. Constantly defoliating to increase light penetration but not trying to stress the plants. (Selective leaf picking) Plants loved the tea I have them last week. Visual improvements in every plant 2 days later. Top dressing later this week on 9/29: 5 tablespoons Gaia green 444 5 tablespoons Gaia Green 284 15 tablespoon Wiggle Worm Earth Worm Castings *hard to get good pictures of this plant* Light increased to 75%

First week of flower! After the 48 hour dark period, the budsites turned bright green. This faded a bit over the next week to become green like the rest of the plants. I'm starting to see repro signs and looks like I've a few males so I'll be keeping a close eye on them! A few days later I decided to quarantine the males so I chucked them outside on my back porch to decide if i wanted to chop completely or maybe finish growing on my roof? My concern was that pollen would float fro mthe roof right into my windows, making its way into the tent and pollinating the ladies... By the end of the week the largest plant was showing it would be overpowering the others, heightwise, so I decided to supercrop it, despite being in the beginning of stretch, now was the time to. Water ph'd to roughly 6, no additional nutes added at this time.

This week I had almost no time at all due to family commitments - I'm also completely at a loss as to what deficiency my plants are suffering from. I would say a serious calcium magnesium deficiency. But why? I mixed every watering with calmag - I suspect that the pH value in the soil was not right at times. The deficiency came overnight with the second compost tea. Oh well - I hope I can still salvage something. I would be very grateful for help. Thank you 🙏

How is it growing, my fun(k) loving friends? ***INFO*** For more on my setup, why it was monster cropped, and how I made the canopy, see Germination page and subsequent weeks. They had 48 hrs of darkness, and the time has come to say goodbye to my friends. I thanked them again, spend some time with them, and under the sound of Amazonian shaman's harvest and healing songs (will post link), asked for their gifts, and apologized for taking their lives. I do this while in contact with the plants, touching, smelling them, observing every detail, no thoughts, just in the present moment. I feel emotional as I do this and remember how they were a companion, a source of distraction in a time of worry, sadness, and loss. How they already comforted me and kept me company in a time of painful insights about honesty, commitment, and staying true to myself. I thank them again for their wisdom and gifts, viva Santa Maria, viva Planta Maestra, may the mother of all beings give us healing and protection. And I proceed with the harvest as I visualize my intentions with every cut. Branch by bud laden branch is tenderly untangled from the scrog net, taken with a clean-cut and immediately hung upside down in the grow tent, which will now double as a curing and drying room. A couple more weeks and we will have the final cured and dried weight. More photos and movies will follow, this is where we are so far!! Big hug, lots of love and take care! ***UPDATE*** The final weigh-in is ready. I hadn't seen them in a week, because of my vacation. The humidifier I set up, had failed. So the grow had dried in 7 days, what I wanted to be 14 at least. Thankfully, its Sativa ancestry shines through, the smoke isn't harsh, the buds a sticky and smelly, no hay smell at all. We ended up at 246 grams, excluding a shitload of larf and popcorn bud, totaling at 310 grams all in, a first at a gram per watt for me, but for the Zambeza seed competition, I stated we would only weigh the quality bud. Overall I'm very happy!! Summary: Cost of setup: 850 euro Cost of nutrients and soil: 125 euro Cost of seeds: None they were cloned Cost of power: 150 euros in the power bill Total cost: 1125,-- for setup and this run. I smoke for medical reasons and it's used for ritual and healing purposes, never to be sold, as it loses its magical properties. Should I have to buy Gelato of this quality at the dispensary that I frequent, it would cost me at least € 15,-- per gram. 246 x 15 = 3690 euros. also, 49 car rides of 25 miles there and back, 250 euros in gas saved. Today is day 70 since the plants have sprouted, and day 27 of 12/12 light schedule. The buds have gotten a little plumper this week, particularly on the Train Wreck, but that plant seems to be a few days ahead in the flower process. I've been trying to overcome the yellow leaves on the Train Wreck plant, and I keep feeding the plant according to the "aggressive" feed chart from General Hydroponics, but it just isn't enough. I was a little worried about the pH in the soil getting too low or something, but the meter I have says it's actually on the high side. This point represents about halfway through the flower stage since I plan on going about 5 more weeks. The Train Wreck is expected to flower for 9-10 weeks, and the Royal Runtz for 8-9 weeks. The purple color on the Royal Runtz seems to be growing on each of the buds, and has a clear correlation to the amount of light hitting the bud. I'm interested to see if the buds below the canopy get the same purple coloration as the top buds. Temperatures were getting a little high early this week when I turned the light up to 95%, getting to about 82F. I moved the power supply for my light outside of the tent hoping it would reduce temperatures, but it only brought the temperatures down to 80F. On the bright side, my controller is generally keeping the humidity at 60% or less, compared to when the temperatures were at 82F and the humidity was closer to 65% most of the time. I measured the PAR for the tallest bud in the tent, which is getting about ~1200PAR, compared to the ~650PAR the Royal Runtz is getting. I wish I could lift up the Royal Runtz more to get it closer to even with the Train Wreck, but I've already lifted it up and both plants are bound by the scrog net. I noticed powdery mildew on a few leaves on the Royal Runtz, which I've been worried about given how bushy it is. The fan in the tent also doesn't blow directly on the plant, so I added a fan from my other tent to blow directly through the plant from the bottom, and moved the original fan to blow more directly on the Royal Runtz. I'll be turning off the humidifier completely for a bit while keeping a close eye on the plant to see if any more PM develops. Edit: While looking closer at what I thought was white powdery mildew, I noticed there were pollen sacks dropping pollen on the Royal Runtz plant. I sprayed the areas I saw polled/sacks with water and removed any buds I thought may have been affected as well as anywhere I saw pollen sacks. I'm sure I missed plenty, but I'll be watching the plants extra close from now on and assassinating any potential sacks I see. We'll see how seedy the tent gets, I guess.

More heavy defoliation more pony railing tops as they grow out . Before there were 11 tops tied now there were 18 tops tied . Overall she probably looks the exact same as 4 weeks ago but she has been doing a lot of leg work for the the grow to come . I’m still waiting to see these top dressed nutes start becoming available to her . I’m also curious to see what response , if any, she gives to the worm castings I topped dressed her with . She’ll be going to a 6 gal pot in about 3-3&1/2 once it’s time to feed her again . At the exact End of this week I’ve just untied all her tops . Give us a like .

Mainline continues to take shape. Lots of nodes popping out everywhere. Trimmed and cloned the ones not seeing light. FIM training continues to buff out. Shes just about ready for flower.

Day 43 veg been doing LST and super cropping but dunno if i should top all the bud sites please could someone give me some advice on that as I have never grown clones before Day 45 looking a bit better after super cropping and fimming all bud sites

Another good feed this week and took a few leaves off, both plants doing really well, drinking loads with the sun and size of them. Not much smell yet but plenty of time for that. That’s all this week, happy growing 🌱

Both completed flowering in 60 days, reaching around 15-20 % Amber in Trichomes. One thing to notice was the trichome structure. First time seeing such long trichomes and so crowded. GreenHouse feeded one only received wated in the last 2 weeks. She has produced much more than the Advanced Nutrient feeded one due to several reasons like my mistakes, pot sizes, different phenos etc. Both produced amazingly smelling frosty buds. Visually, both are top notch for me. * GreenHouse feeded one developed some fox tails in the last week.

1/8/2023: chop day! Using a little 2x2 AC Infinity tent to dry in. Have an AC unit in the lung room trying to keep temps as close 60° as I can. I live in AZ, so it is dry here, so I have a humidifier in the tent set to 60%. I will dry the whole plant for between 12 to 16 days.

I’m still not sure about the FIM job on the LSD, and the purple haze is looking a bit runtish, but we’ll see how they go. I cut some leaves on the PH today to give the bud sites beneath them more light. All in all, they are doing well I think.

We are nearing the end of this grow and so far everything is taking shape very nicely. I did a quick 2 day flush with some florakleen from GHE and then got back to the bloom nutrients. I did this just to clean the roots a little and get rid of any unwanted salt build up. This will hopefully set us up for a strong finish. Really impressed with the marshydro fc3000 thus far. For next week i will push the EC levels quite a bit, remove any unwanted popcorn nugs and try set it up for a strong finish.

Looks like I missed a week… It’s been horribly hot, and they only have access to the light outside. …In the heat. So I have been keeping them in filtered sun, sometimes shade or a brief moment in the sun. They soak up all the morning sun when it’s cooler at least. I’ve noticed what would most likely be a subtle potassium deficiency. The heat is bad. Not too hot, but unfortunately there were multiple occasions where they had more hot sun than necessary. I didn’t notice any signs of stress at the time, other than leaf tips and edges folding and pointing up a lil bit. But later in the evening I could see subtle discoloration. I’m pretty sure these young un-established plants are just running a little short on potassium. I’ve been giving them potassium as well. It’s just a matter of keeping them cool. Overall I’d say they haven’t gotten too hot! Just hot enough multiple times to put a higher demand on water and potassium than necessary, all while having slowed growth. I positive they are all still good and no one has been stunted. I hope! But yeah I think we are doing good. Just going slower than usual with the excessive heat. We are averaging a high of 90 Fahrenheit with some days getting 94! Also, they are growing slowly not only because of the heat, but the lack of direct light for the second half of the day. I’d rather grow slowly than risk stunting any. I’m feeling positive about this bunch. They are young and bursting with life!! ….slowly.
