Peace and Grow for All..🌱🌿🌲
Starting the famous blue dream matic . Cant wait to see it go. This will be my first real champ genetics strain. My last grow turned out great for a pretty “bs†genetic. Feeling more confident and equipped with better gear and a new macro lens this should fun!
Wk4, Day22, 4/27/22
Wk4, Day23, 4/28/22, continued defoliation and tied down tops, each plant has at least 6 tops
Wk4, Day27, 5/2/22, no issues requiring adjustments
Wk4, Day28, 5/3/22, heavy tie downs and defoliation to finish Wk4
Dear diary,
Week 5 completed and after a scare last week with magnesium deficiency, we were able to get it sorted and continue the mainlining.
🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
⏰ Day 32:
Gave a foliar of calmag water at 3.0ms 6.1ph during light off so it’s more gentle on the leaves followed by a regular feeding at 1.46ms 6.1ph.
Still seeing some deteriorating continuing on lower leaves, so will get epsom salt tomorrow to really target magnesium and increase the calmag with 0.7ml/l in feeds going forward.
⏰ Day 33:
Gave a foliar of epsom salt at 6.6g/liter(3.2EC 6.3ph)as lights went off but as I read more my ratios were off and I diluted the solution with 50% regular water.
Regular feeding at 1.45ms 6.2ph was given at lights on.
When inspecting the girls a few hours later they look a lot healthier already, so clearly magnesium was the issue.
Will give them today to recover and if everything keeps looking good by tomorrow, I will do the next topping.
If so I will have lost 5 days of progress due to the deficiency, but that’s the upside with photos I guess vs autos.
⏰ Day 34:
Another foliar of epsom salt applied and feeding of 1.5l each at 1.56ms 5.8ph.
A few hours later topping nr 2 done making it 4 tops each now and stripped the remaining growth.
I did however leave the fan-leaves attached to the new top node and for W.C #1 I left another set of fan-leaves for an extra boost as she’s a bit behind.
⏰ Day 35:
Did a quick check before lights off and they are praying and looking good considering the topping.
Then I did a regular feeding at 1.56ms 5.5ph when lights went on. Still looking good and no continued signs of the magnesium issue.
Lastly I removed the extra 2 fan-leaves I had left on WC #1 as her new tops are growing nicely and turned up the light slightly.
⏰ Day 36:
Regular feeding at 1.56ms 5.6ph.
Girls are looking healthy and enough has grown out that I can start tying down the 4 new mains.
Will probably top them again in 1-2 days if everything progresses nicely.
⏰ Day 37:
Foliar of epsom given just as lights turned off followed by regular feeding at 1.61ms 5.8ph when lights turned back on.
⏰ Day 38:
Regular feeding at 1.61ms 5.9ph.
Topping nr 3 was also done bringing it to 8 tops each and I will do the 4th and final topping as soon as the nodes have developed a bit more.
Seriously fruity and frosty strain I’d definitely recommend to anyone, for my third and fourth pants I’m really happy with how they turned out however some issues could have been avoided and I could’ve done a better job myself but overall I’m pretty pleased and a round of applause to Fastbuds 💚
So end up losing the first set (guess that's how you know it alive n real) never the less week was great...will do some transplanting nxt week also wanna get some more gelato cuts to get the numbers up but will see how that
6/28 I had to water deeply despite watering thoroughly yesterday. This heat wave is supposed to pass today. We have had temps in the 90's. Ihate it but the girls seem to love it. RH is super high and controlling pm is a pain in the balls. When my connection is better I'll add my vid and photos. Still need a follow up preventative spray. BT is really awesome but super narrow and I've found random stink bugs, earwigs, crickets and grasshoppers as well as easily identifiable leaf damage. I'm thinking Spinosid. Save my PM stuff for PM. Tried checking my PH with a soil meter. The bags are basically just roots. The only two plants it read came to 6.5 which is strange because I usually run around 7.3. I'll certainly take it. If it's correct that is. RH 64 TEMP 84
6/29 Didn't water this morning due to a torrential downpour last night. Nothing broken after first glance. The thunder and wind woke me last night. This storm was horrific yet my plants still seem unaffected. Need to rearrange the cage. It will be a pain to have to move that ice cream cake. Maybe I could find a way to modify the cage outwards. I also need to move the plant in the tote in the back. Luckily I got back and watered before plants dried out. Noticed a FEW dead or yellow leaves on the middle interior of some plants. I upped dosage of growbig last feed and fed a little earlier. I'll go back to my normal feeding schedule and see what happens. Thing is the plants are getting huge so I would think increased nutes would help. Couldn't he lockout. Too much water. Maybe nutes in the soil are leaving? I'll figure it out. I temporarily pulled the stalk on the ice cream cake back and tied it to the posts to get it off the fence.
6/30. 90s again today. I deeply watered and noticed a couple more yellow leaves (bottom middlish). Only thing that was changed was feeding. I may go back to original schedule. Funeral today so I'll have to check things out later. UPDATE: Went back maybe sux hours after watering to find the grow bags dry. I reached my hand in the side and it's pretty much all roots. These high temperatures and wind are drying my plants out. No droop but the soil WAS dry. I watered again and plan to check again tonight. When temps go down I'll probably do a preventative Spinosid spray.
7/1 Watered and fed two gallons. Grow big at 1 1/2 tbsp. Still some yellow leaves on the interior. I'm talking like maybe five. Accidentally destroyed lace wing eggs. I knew it was something to keep an eye out for but I mistakenly thought it was BAD. Oh well it was just two eggs. I'm sure there are more. Tried measuring PH with soil meter but the only two plants that registered were 6.5 and 6.6. I believe the PH to be a bit higher. The bags are so full of roots it's hard to get a measurement. I know my soil and water WAS on point before my gauge broke. However I leave the 7.3 as that was about what the big ones tested at last time measured.
7/2 These are some resilient strains. Currently 54 degrees at 9am. It had been 80 or 90 in the last few days. Perfect rain today. A light shower all day. Obviously didn't water. Found a few yellow leaves but the plants look so good. The also seem to be stretching but it's far to early for the preflower stretch. I'll keep an eye out. Things are looking pretty good. Still need to move that plant in the back.
7/3 Watered today. Looks like it might rain but top soil was a little dry. Also noticed this site measures teaspoons not tablespoons which is how I measure. I'll need to adjust that. There's tell tale damage from a variety of pests (leaf hoppers, pillars, grasshoppers ECT.) So I think I'm going to do a spray within the next couple days. Im leaning towards Spinosid but Dr. Zymes supposably helps the PM as well. I'll do more research and update.
7/4 54 degrees and raining. Haven't checked the girls out yet today.
Constant LST on these girls. They are so leggy I'm worried that if I let up the canopies will get out of control. I feel like i'm doing a good job with it thought.
The occasional super cropping is needed and I leaf tuck and even take leaves almost everyday. Doesn't seem to slow em' down.
Lights are at about 75% now. Weather has calmed down so temperature in the tent is consistently below 80F. Happened just in time for mid-flower.
Right before the weather changed I build an exhaust to vent everything outside so controlling the atmosphere is a lot easier and I think it shows.
Switched to bloom nutes towards the end of this week. Miracle Berry Remix IMMEDIATELY perked up and stopping being droopy all the time. CDLC woke up and I'm really happy with her now. Phosphorous is really important once pre-flower begins.
Getting impatient....gonna pop some Double Grapes for the Solo Cup competition.
Lowering my PH to 5.5 - 5.7 to accomodate for any salt build up in the coir since they drink water so quickly. Their response was very good. CDLC loved the drop in PH the most I believe.
I cut my veg nutrients (nitrogen) to half because they aren't in full flower but i'm giving them full doses of the Maxibloom and additives.
I've learned that most chlorosis I am experiencing is a nutrient deficiency. PH and increasing PPM steadily is a MUST to be successful I believe. Potassium is what generally causes the "nutrient burn". You'll catch nitrogen toxicity before any chlorosis and phosphorous is really difficult to give your plant too much of. Especially in flower. I'm gettin' the hang of this....
If anyone could answer me this....Why would you use a feeding schedule when your plant is going to require different nutrients than any other plants? There are too many variable to use a feeding schedule correct?
Really not much to see this week besides the plants bulking up. They are gorgeous...except for the CDLC...she's got some work to do.
Day 49 - Watered with some whacked out PH water today...didn't catch it until it was too late. Mango Smile was dropping by the end of watering...hopefully I didn't stall anyone out. Check out the pheno difference between the two Miracle Berry Remixs.
Edit: I came home from work after making my weekly log entry yesterday and I could smell my grow from my driveway... so I asked for help. THANK YOU OOZLEFINCH FOR THE HELP.. THIS IS WHY WE ASK FOR HELP...
I left a question on here stating that my new canister wasn't working and asked for generic advise. He left an answer that pointed out the fact that my exhaust fan might be set waaaay to high... and it was! It turns out there's a limit to the amount of air that filter fan 'scrub', and my exhaust fan goes way over that limit even on 6 or 7.. I turned it down to 3 and the smell got better immediately. ☮️
Still on auto pilot at this point... I'm really close to harvest.. and I'm not even on day 60 😲. I created videos this weeks, they capture the plants in ways that a still picture just won't.
My entire house stinks.. my neighbors are looking at my funny, and my wife thinks a family of skunks is hiding in our walls... I've never had this problem.. I even got a brand new carbon air scrubber and its not helping 🤣
Process/ Environment changes since last week:
- To help preserve the terpenes I've been trying to lower my temperature, which is hard without an AC unit I'm not plugging in an ac just to grow some plants. I'm at 24- 26 degrees C (75 - 82 F).
- I've been lowering my humidity accordingly to keep VPD in a good range
- I lowered my lights closer to my plants, turning them up would just add to the heat.
- I'm defoliating as much large fan leaves off as possible
- My watering pH is at around 6.7 to 6.8.. I will not be flushing these plants
- I rotate my plants every day to make sure I'm getting light to hit every node it can
This week I'm pulling out the digital scope and doing the first trichome checks for these babies. The cheese auto is going to get the chop by the end of next week.. I hope you like the video I added of it.. it's the easiest plant I've ever grown and she's going to be FIRE.
The blackberry auto is giving off a gas/berry smell and is very sticky to the touch. A beautiful triploid... my first and I hope to get many more.
The Forbidden Runtz smells just like a zkittles does, it's bang on. Very dense very sticky buds. I almost tossed her during the seedling stage too due to her mutation. I'm glad I reconsidered ☮️
Thank you Fastbuds

These girls continue to flourish and ripen. They are lined up to finish in 8 weeks as opposed to nine as advertised. A real positive. Having said that I'm starting UVB lights as two hours per mid day tomorrow. I'll slowing increase the amount of time until the end of the grow.
Add molasses to the top watering mix. Added optiveg for the chitin and finishing nutrients.
The girls are really frosty and sticky already. But no blueberry smell yet. I still have high hopes for blueberry phenos.
