Week 22 of our painful result on the mothers. Reveg. Is full on and the plants are all trying desperately to figure out how to flower again. A couple days ago I was resolved to the fact that this cycle of mothers was not going to be anywhere near our acceptable standards for a high quality bud harvest. We lamented and cried a little…. Then we got ridiculously high to numb the pain…. And then I had a brilliant thought! The whole purpose has been to pollinate clones this whole time. Now that our stable of clones are well into rooting and reveg. We can simply use the mothers for breeding instead and salvage a harvest of high quality buds with the clones! It’s not an ideal situation and will result in less smokable buds but that said (and as per the outdoor photos), quantity won’t be a problem this year as usual😉. I figure a week or two to see what happens with em and we’ll commence the sperm spray😎. We’ve also taken some additional steps and commenced with impregnating the Spliff strawberry on a couple of select branches. This plant is proving a beauty as expected - even despite a little fasciation she’s a monster🤩🤩. Method - we placed some pollen into a brown paper bag (both some SOG in one and some 707 in another. - we marked 2 branches with zip ties to keep track of which pollen is where. - we wrapped the branches in each bag and twisty tied it closed to the stem base for about 12 hours. - after remove the bags and to prevent further pollination on the rest of the plant we sprayed down the pollinated branches and then the entire plant with a light mist of water. When ur outdoors this isn’t perfect science and there will be some additional seed that pops out elsewhere. Regardless, it’s a guarantee the 707 is viable but I’m none too sure about the Skywalker stuff. It may have been subjected to moisture while in storage and could be inert at this point. No telln for a few weeks🤞. The dutchy system, despite significant time to set up has been better than expected - all the plants are happy, added a Skywalker clone to the mix for flowering as well. They seem to be taking to the Druid nutes just fine. Great system and she’s pretty much on cruise control right now👌. All told - the pollen chuck is not yet a complete failure. We’re definitely gonna have some cross beans - they only question that remains is how many different strains. Thanks again for hanging with the longest grow ever👍👊. Background/Repetitive Nonsense These plants will be the two mothers this growing season that will be utilized for stage 2 of the pollen chucking project. We’ll be taking clones and stressing the genetics for some fem. pollen using colloidal silver. Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel with landrace genetics, we’re effectively skipping initial hybrid crossing and stabilization, going straight to the polyhybrid mix. I call it the shotgun approach to selective, unvetted and amateur breeding on a micro scale😉. These 2 parent strains will form the basis for 8-10 different F1 polyhybrid combinations and a further S1 back cross of each of the mothers. Not only should we be able to preserve the genetics for both mothers in feminized form but we’ll also be running an entire family of new hybrids after seeding out clones from each on the initial lineup of this summers photoperiods. Method is pretty simple here; once we’ve got our pollen off the two mothers we’ll be clipp’n clones on 4 select strains that have proven results from various respected breeders. We’ll be using those for pollination purposes in what is expected to be a 10 plant recirculating Dutch bucket hydro system. ***Update*** The feminization process didn’t take at all with the strawberry or the Skywalker so it’ll be reg. Seed crosses with only Skywalker and some other 707 Headband that we have in the vault. ********* Strain details: Parent strains for self pollination - Skywalker Kush by Reserva Privada Classic kush effects and earthy aroma. The strong kush element of this cultivar will compliment any cross. - Spliffs Strawberry by Spliff Seeds Incredible mix of flavourful terpenes and hard hitting high THC. She’s got some Herer as well as some Diesel in ‘er so an obvious choice for any cross as well. ***UPDATE*** The strawberry had to come out of this breeding run to wait for a better mother that hasn’t been attacked by aphids. It’s been a tough battle this season and we’ve had to make a couple of heartbreaking sacrifices already. Parent Strains for cross pollination ***UPDATE*** We added another 2 strains to the mix just in case we need to spot swap for some more variety. - Ghost Train by AMS Seeds A cross of Alien OG x Ghost Train Haze. Never tried the strain but I’ve heard only good things. This one might be worth mixing with the Strawberry so we’ll see how it goes. ***UPDATE*** Sadly - the ghost train turned out to be an auto so cloning her out as part of the breeding project is a no-go. Really disappointed about this but at least we still have a ready backup strain on the lost coast og to take her place. - Boogie Nights by AMS Seeds A cross of Kalijah, aka afghani/skunk/diesel/blue heaven X Juanita, aka NYC Diesel/Reina Madre). No idea here so naturally I’m interested😉. ************** - Lost Coast OG by Emerald Triangle Pakistani Kush x Lemon Thai x Chemdawg #4. Essentially a classic, west coast combo of landrace kush genetics that Cali is famous for, mixed with hard hitting Chemdawg #4. ***UPDATE*** The Lost Coast is a winner of a plant. Still outdoors and in veg. Looks like it’s recovered from the aphid attack. Might consider trying to take another cut of this and just rooting it in a pot for pollination. At this point, what the hell and if we could salvage anything it would be a positive. ***** - Spliffs Blueberry by Spliff Seeds (Chocolate Thai x Afghani #1 x Highland Oaxaca) x Northern Lighhts Special. Only 1 bean of this left and the whole purpose is to blend the best of Spliffs Berry strains as a tribute. Awesome breeder and they’ve been very kind to us over the years. - Northern Light by Royal Queen Seeds NL means nuff said. A combo of 11 unknown strains believed to originate from the west coast of North America. This cultivar is a great take on these classic genetics and a perfect compliment to just about any cross. A biased fave of ours.👍 - White Widow by Seedsman Brazilian Sativa x South Indian Indica. This classic strain has been unluckily elusive for us the last couple years. We know the quality of seedsmans version of this cultivar having grown it in the past. Sadly, a very strong performer that never made it to harvest due to an uncontrollable aphid infestation. And we’re only at step 1.... still gonna need an assist with pheno hunting all of the crosses so if anyone’s interested in running the testers (when we finally get to that point) just let me know👍😎. All good :) besides small problems with Tropicana Banana, so she gots only water this week. The same symptoms I have noticed on clones sooo probably I will change her nutrients. They start to smell, so I turned on the fan with carbon filter. Lamp on 65% of power, around 45cm above cannopy. ppfd 1100-1300 on the center - ppfd 700-900 on the sides. Older ones around 20 day of bloom Younger 13 day of flow and Caramelo 5 day of flowering

The temperatures and measurements listed in the grow conditions are averaged for the week. The nutrients listed in that section are ml/gallon of soil. Day 1 We missed the scattered showers but it's been 80-90% humidity all day. It's been real sunny but the pots are very wet. Day 2 we had lots of sunshine and temperatures above 80° F. Day 3 we had clear, sunny skies. Temperature were in the mid 80's F. I watered 1.5-2 gallons directly from the hose. The well water is 7.6 pH and 50° F. Day 4 we had thunderstorms and rain in the morning followed by sunshine. Day 5 we had lots of sunshine, temps in the mid 80's and thunderstorms and rain in the evening. The thunderstorms became severe overnight. Day 6 we had rain in the morning followed by rain and thunderstorms intermittently into the night. Day 7 we had rains early morning and then cloudy most of the day. We have sunshine in the forecast for next week. 🙏🙏🙏 I added ferrous sulfate at 50 ml/gallon of soil top dressed. The pH began to push up above 7.

Dec 28 - Both plants are close to harvest. Had 5.5. hours of darkness after 24 hr period to prevent budrot developing. Also moved plants inside tent moreso, and closer to fans. Dec 28 - Watered healthy plant today at 2PM - I'll chop unhealthy plant tomorrow, so didn't water, instead inspected trichomes. Dec 28 - Unhealthy Plant is showing amber trichomes, but also clear - Unsure if I should chop tomorrow or not. Dec 29 - DAY 73 - CHOPPED - Trimmed larger fan leaves (accidentally trimmed a sugar leaf or two) and harvested to dry whole, upside down. I'm hoping for a half ounce per plant. Dec 19 - 11.50PM Trichome Calyx' were observed, there are new calyx' appearing. Calyx' are swelling. Dec 30 - Plant developing more senescence and calyx are swelling. Dec 30 - Trichomes are still clear, but I'm seeing some PM develop so I think I'll chop tomorrow morning. Dec 31 - Nice Senescence occurring, Happy to have left it this last day. Accidentally left temps up to 78F for a half hour. Dec 31 - Decided to push another week as per feedback from GD member. When watering I noticed she was perky after 3 days w. no water. Interesting and likely the frequency I'll continue watering at. Dec 31 - Watered at 9PM. Jan 1 - Removed small fan leaf with signs of PM at the base. This defoliation should help with airflow. Checked newly formed calyx' and they're clear enough not to document. Jan 2 - Buds are developing nicely, calyxes are noticably swelling nicely too. I see some green pistils appearing in the lowest buds. Clear Trichomes. Jan 3 - Watered at 8AM. Woke up to 90F temp. Unfortunately they'd been cooking for about an hour. Jan 3 - DRYING UPDATE - I'm seeing fluctuations in the drying room between RH 49% and 70%. As of 3.10PM @ 61RH after adding jars of water. I want to maintain this RH. Jan 3 - Senesence looking good, calyx' are continuing to swell. Will inspect trichomes tomorrow at latest.

Big photo session this week and this week is prolonged for two days :) Week of heavy flushing and darknessssss at first they got last honey and water, then after they drinked that they got heavy flush in bathtub with ice cold water untill clear water was runoff, they needed almost four days to drink that and to dry out, then they got ice cubes and i turned lights out and let them in darknes for three days. Harvest is near, checking trichomes, they all are milky white with some orange tops, buds are rock hard and smell of braincakes is so fruitiy and flowery while brides are next lvl smell :))))))) Take care and much love :) ॐ

previous watering was fed with liquid nutrients, my temperatures are not low so the nutrients come slowly with some intervals giving only water without much runoff occurring a mixture of soil and mycorrhizae for better performance i know i needed calcium and magnesium good the problem was money, i will continue with epsom salt the option i have direct sulfur in the soil has helped me hear a visible change. water ph 6.2 solution temperature 20 ° - 0.50 g of great white mycorrhiza 2 days earlier were sprayed with water without ppm via leaves - lights off to serve as a cooling shower in the heat is great for stomata . Simple led panel added as main light source 260watts being divided to 3 plants in the fullspectro tent model, did not get much difference in temperatures compared to HPS, is more the same spectro ratio and UV to reach more directly in the trichomes and terpenes. Large leaves, like a true sativa even if they are long, go in equally straight and thin shape, trichomes with glands larger than their sister, but this one in front really does not hear physical stress from something just high temperature training, but are very resistant To this, I imagine later on taking this same genetics at favorable temperatures and hydro. A strong smell that I will have to turn to buy a filter, I can not with curious and malicious neighbors need to really contain the smell.

Hi Growmies , I am going to journal thisblady as she is my 1st ever self made seed I have grown. I have dropped bagseed into cups and watched them sprout thenblet them keep over and die off in the past but never an actual Cross i produced. Her father is from a previous grow here , Barneys Farm Blue Gelato 41 who threw out some pollen at 3 weeks flowering and also gave some perfect seeds and pods at 3 weeks flower !!!! Very odd but didnt hermie the whole plant but the pollen hit the lowers of the other 8 strains so I have some very promising cross seeds that look very striped and chubby. This cross is Him and a Barneys Gorilla Skittelz Mother who only dropped about 20bseeds all together. I managed to seperate around 8 more of this batch and here we have #1. There is another cross growingnwithba friend that is killing it so I am hopeful now. So far she has been topped at her 5th and stripped her #1 node only. I plan to 6 way her mains and thicken them with tip spreading . I lived the mother strain for her dense buds and the gelato was going beautiful till I culled her for the pollen worries. The very early harvest( 4 week flowering) had me gutted and shockingly the smokable buds from it had a hit to them that was way better than their age should have had them at. I do think the crosses will be a great combo

9/30: All that remain are the 4 x FFT #4 clones. They are foxtailing a little, but getting so frosty. They've senesced pretty well on their own, but I flushed them with 8 gallons each today anyway...warm tap water with LiquidSoil. I'll harvest them on Sunday I think. 10/3: I gave them a little water early in the day to keep them turgid, and late at night I did a wet trim on all 4 of them and put them in the dark until late tomorrow night. Then, I'll harvest and wash them and this crop will be a done deal.👍 10/5: Early a.m., I cut them down, washed them, and hung them to drip dry. That's a wrap! I'll do harvest reports in another week or so, but early impressions of FFT's 2,4, and 10 are quite good. 👍

Hey here we go again.. in the pics I explained how to clean the lava rocks but to make it easier I will put them here. LAVA ROCK CLEANING. 1... fill sink with hot water and about a half bottle of hydrogen peroxide . 2 ...dump rocks into sink 3....shake out rocks from roots...I suggest you do this in another sink then add lava rock to other sink..it keeps from adding to many roots to water sink. 4....skim off all roots from top of water...now while the lava rocks sit in the water..clean the buckets. 5...take fitting from buckets and add to a cup filled with hydrogen peroxide let sit 6...clean buckets with hot water and hydrogen peroxide....dry bucket 7...take fittings out of cup clean off and clean inside fittings..then wash off and put back into buckets. 8... use a colander and add lava rock to it and run hot water over the lava rock as you move them around...then add warm..then cold water this will help make the roots brittle and easy to remove...shake off all water. 9...put rocks back into buckets 10 ...set room back up with all new lines... Last week of Veg for these ladies. 🌱 Timer is set to 12/12 so all going well I hope to start seeing some pistils developing over the next week as they transition. Still tying down the main stems along with some light defoliation and I plan to add a scrog net over the next couple of days to help even out the canopy as they start to stretch out. Overall looking healthy and happy! ✌️

acho que ainda consegui produzir uns tricomas com as correções da água, mas como o estágio da floração já estava bem avançado, as folhas começaram a descolorir muito cedo, tive que colher 3 plantas precocemente, as outras 3 menos vou tentar seguir mais 2 semanas, não estão mostrando tricomas Ambar ainda!
