Week 3 of flower

9/22 topped them at 4th node. some of them are looking better for mainlining that others. some of them i may not mainline and others i left an extra node in case i want to keep clones around. #1 is looking happy with the topping and looks really good. #2 is the only one thats been praying and is the tallest and strongest looking all around. #5 short and such tight internodal spacing that it makes it hard to see whats all there. just looks like a bunch of small leaves until they grow out. i may not mainline this one either be cause of it being so tightly packed it may make it 9/27/24 day 20 theyre growing quite well. #1 i ended up taking the bottom nodes. i was originally goi g to use them as clones later on but decided to just let her go with her 4 nodes. #5 is so tightly packed, she has like 8 mains all in such a small space, its hard to even make sense of it all.

The time is finally here to post the harvest. I waited till it was all done and dry before updating the dairy so will add in the dry weights next on the 2nd half of the harvest entry. Had some ups and downs with this plant. mainly the extreme yellowing that was happening. I should have treated this faster with a flush but was super reluctant and I feel this has suffered in the end. The top best looking buds could have been larger and the lower ones could have been thicker. There is some smells with this plant but they are not pronounced. Just smells like mild basic weed, this would be one reason not to grow it, however, the crystals on this plant have been the most I've ever grown before. When trimming them every time the scissors snipped or the brush stroked I saw some falling down onto the tray. This plant would be great for making hash. had a good little ball of finger hash at the end of it and will be giving that to my friends to smoke or make a strong edible with. I don't plan on growing this strain out again, the lack of smells and the fact I'm only trying to grow cbd dominate plants is the main reason. If my friends really like this I have some clones so can always give them some. Speaking of clones they are doing well outside, greened up a lot and showing signs of revegging. Took some photos of the weed hang drying on day 1 in the tent and a week later to show how much they shrink. most of the lower growth is quite larfy but will make good edibles or hash, that will be a fun project to do and may include that in my projects diary. I converted the cents into dollar amounts beforehand to avoid dividing by 100. 8.2c/h = 0.082$/h 438h * 0.17c/kwh = $74.46kw * 0.15kw = $11.17 on peak 522h * 0.113c/kwh = $58.99kw *0.15kw = $8.85 mid peak 1,272h * 0.082c/kwh = $104.30kw *0.15kw = $15.65 off peak The "h" hours and "kw" kilowatts cancel out and we are left with a value of $ dollars per peak period, add all the peak periods up and you get your total cost of running the lights in dollars. $11.17 + $8.85 + $15.65 = $35.67 for the grow light only. My light grew for 20 weeks and 4 days, or 144 days. almost 21 weeks total. $35.67 / 144d = 0.2477$/d average of about 25c a day in electricity 337.2kw for the entire grow. Using the regular calculation of grams harvested divided by watts used is not accurate to me, it does not account for all the time the lamps are on, the length of grow to the over all cost. The calculation that makes sense to me is this, harvested dry weight of usable cannabis buds/trim/keif/whatever in grams divided by total kw used. Could also combine it with grams per total single use costs “anything you used only for this grow and wont reuse in the next, or fractions of multi use items like fertilizers if they ½ full” and see how much you’re investing per gram. "kw" ÷ "g" = kw/g "$" ÷ "g" = $/g I have harvested 5.34oz or 151.6g on 337.2kw. 337.2kw ÷151.6g = 2.22 kw/g of usable cannabis. This is not an ideal ratio for me and looks like a lot of energy waste happened from the extended veg period. $35.67 ÷ 151.6g = 0.24c/g It cost 24c/g when comparing total electricity cost to gross yield, almost identical to the comparison of total electrical cost to the number of days in the grow 25c/day. Growing big and strong, theres some marks on the leaves nothing bad it seems, looks like a catterpillar is guilty hopefully. I added dr greenthumbs mycos because who doesnt like a funguy.

Starter to flush a week ago, one more before harvest !

Hello growmies! Welcome to week seven of An Epsilon Adventure! Massive thanks to both Shogun and Royal Queen Seeds for sponsoring this grow! I have just completed the final defoliation for the three least advanced (and largest) girls. I have also rearranged the tent again to try to maximize the space available and light usage. I have not fertigated for 5 days after the last fertigation was a flush without coco base. I am struggling with humidity at the moment so I have been trying to let the plants go more dry than usual. Daily Updates ### Week 7 Day 2 02:30 7/8 Heavily defoliated plants 1, 5 & 6 and removed some of the lower branches. Rearranged tent then photographed & measured: Plant 1 is now almost unbelievably 2nd tallest at "only" 141cm in height! Her stretch has just about ended. Plant 2 has stopped stretching at 111cm and is 2nd most advanced into flower. Plant 3 has stopped stretching at 95cm and is most advanced into flower. Plant 4 has stopped stretching at 100cm and is 3rd most advanced into flower. Plant 5 has gained 6cm this week and may add few more but she is pretty close to done stretching at 119cm. Plant 6 has gained 22cm this week and isn't quite finished. She is now the tallest plant in the series at 142cm. ### Week 7 Day 2 07:00 7/8 Fertigated 1.6l each ### Week 7 Day 4 02:00 9/8 Fertigated 1.6l each reduced coco a/b to 2m/l each. Spent a bit more time photographing and videoing to try and capture the changes and the developmental differences. These 140cm+ plants are going to STACK. I am bracing myself for a lot of trimming and a monster harvest. 🙏 The current order of maturity and likely order of harvest is 3 2 4 1 5 6. I think the first and last plants will be at least a week apart in harvest, perhaps 2 or 3. ### Week 7 Day 6 23:00 11/8 Fertigated 1.6l each The smell in the tent is there now, really not that strong but there are 6 plants motoring through flower here now so it's not insignificant either. Plant 3 is absolutely stacking now, she's more or less run out of space around her cola and is now growing some foxtail like structures, exciting! Plant 6 the least mature is 2-3 weeks behind plant 3, but her stretch has finally stopped at 144cm. Took wide angle in tent photos today. All 3 Pheno's have been topped - This strain seems to have more thicker indica like growth as opposed to a more stretched out sativa hybrid. No negative response to the topping - Waiting for lower nodes to come up. Overall healthy growth.

These are same strain but must be different phenos. 🤷‍♀️🏼

The plants have been receiving around 1300 µmol of light for more than a week. The osmosis water is enriched with fertiliser up to 1.9 ms This value is not expected to rise any further as the plants have become very dark green. There may only be water for a few days. The development up to this point in the 4th week of flowering is very satisfactory. Both genetics have obviously been thoroughly selected.

Week 9 for Lemon Orange by greenhouseseedco, Been trying to fix the nitrogen deficiency while also some other stuff as some of the growth has been fairly poor... Not where i expected to be with them i expected to be in flower by now but not just going to flip them while unhealthy that would be a waste i think. So ill be trying to get everyone in order before i flip them. They are starting to get some extra colour on the leaf though so thats a positive.

Still struggling with humidity. But I have really good airflow and ventilation. Continue to defoliate plants. Stretch is over or at least almost. Due to previous lights one plant is about 3 days behind the other 2. Already smells great/loud. Girlfriend hates it. Not a smoker.

This is officially my first grow. I have some experience with gardening and especially bonsai. Its going to be quite challenging given the limited height of my tent.
