As of day 14, the Blackberry is growing well! The growth is vigorous and pretty healthy, so I am going to just keep doing what I am doing. I am temporarily using dry cal-mag crystals to the same ppm/EC (.5-.6) as calimagic hasn't caused any issues yet. I can make my way through the bag I have before buying more calimagic, and not be wasteful! Hello growers day 29 with the Tropicana cookies auto she is struggling to get light I think my other plants are to big for her so Iv started the other 2 seeds I got from pev and there looking better already iv got them in a little tent and they are thriving I will add pics of them next week until then be safe and happy growing ✌️🏻

Week 1 and the first round of testing for this recent new cross. The F1 generation of Northern Spice. Germination was a full 100% with varying degrees of development across 3 days in the towel. Oddly however, about half of the beans cracked the shell head first with their cotelydons. Stability is always suspect with F1s anyway, but this kind of sampling, this early is concerning somewhat. We’ll see where it goes. On another topic, we also made some big changes to the grow method this cycle. We’ve moved over to a grow system by the bucket company. Fairly similar to the Dutch bucket design, just without the small reservoir in each bucket that acts as an additional insurance policy. So far, she’s purr’n like a kitten👌. Strain details She’s a mix of a particularly strong Northern Lights, mixed with a Spicy Bitch sativa hybrid. The hope is that we’ll be able to combine the overtly narcotic effects in the NL and mellow it out somewhat with the quality daytime sativa effects found in the SB. Both strains feature numerous grower qualities. Both parents possessed vigour and resiliency, the SB particularly colourful in late flower.

Week 7 – Lemon OG in full swing 🍋🔥 We’ve entered week 7 and things are moving strong! Buds are stacking up nicely and getting chunkier by the day. Pistils are bright and reaching, trichomes are beginning to pop – this run smells like success already. There’s one girl in the back-middle acting a bit dramatic – some light potassium-related signs showing up. Could be linked to CalMag interactions, but nothing alarming. Keeping an eye on her, but overall everyone looks green and thriving. I’m seeing a healthy nitrogen fade on some leaves – exactly what I want at this stage. Lights are cranked to full power (480W total) and the girls are taking it like champs. Not a single sign of stress – just hungry green machines turning photons into fat nuggets. Climate’s locked in nicely too. the Germination process was very easy and had no problems to sprout in paper towel. After she first touched water it needed 5 day to get root and open shell with her tiny white baby leaf and next I put it in to the pot in coco coir it was already watered and i just put the cup on top next day she was fully green and strong stem with little hairs <3

For the past month, the humidifier has been an issue putting out way too much humidity; often leaving water in the bottom of the tent. In addition, the temperatures are also out of control. I added an AC last week to keep the temperature below 80. I finally determined the exhaust vent is also broken and has been for some time. AC Infinity does not extend the warranty to the replacement parts. I guess that makes sense since they would be in a state of perpetual free replacements. I bought a new one from Amazon that came with a new controller which is different from the controller 69 currently using. I decided that while it is very inconvenient and inefficient to monitor the tent through the day, I would rather finish this Frostbanger run without introducing a new unknown variable. I will continue using 3 circulating fans, the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This creates a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. It looks like growth has stopped and plant height has been reached. Now is the time for buds to fatten and frost up. All 6 of them are short remaining less than 3 ft. They range from 15 to 31 inches. #4, 5 &6 are showing some fade, particularly #4. Upon opening the tent, a melon smell comes off the buds if I get close, and more stickiness was observed during the process of defoliation. They are living up to the new strain’s name. #5 is the frostiest followed by #2. Wow week 3 of flower and that much frost already. Before FastBuds announced the strain name and characteristics, I was disappointed that FBA2502 could be an indica sleepy strain but the universe provides what you need at the time. They are in small felt pots for now, but I plan to transplant them in to big pots very soon. I want to try to avoid root bound plants... I've got some 30gal pots lined up.
