Welcome back to my garden! Thanks for following me on this 16 strain photoperiod SOG grow adventure! We have 18 strains running with 2 regular strains, I want to be sure we can fill up the whole SOG.
9/7 - Just to recap last week. 9/5 I transplanted from the 16 oz solo cups into a one gallon 8" tall Active Aqua 6" x 6" Square Pots. Today, I topped and defoliated. Everything is looking good, now just waiting for them to bounce back. Hoping to be ready for flower within next week or two. This is my first run using a modified SOG method, and not sure how long it will take for them to be ready. Ideally I'd like each main growing shoot to be about 12" or so before sending to 12/12.
BAD NEWS:
Half of the blue diodes have gone out in the TMLAPY light. This light was actually gifted to me shortly after a friend purchased it from Amazon and realized it was too small for their space. It seemed to be serving it's purpose well for vegging photos and running bumper crops of autoflowers but it failed only four months after the warranty period ended! Weak-Sauce! Welp, looks like it's time to upgrade the 24"x48" tent to Samsung LM301H boards. I ordered a 320w straight single piece heatsink with 3 boards from Geeklight. I went with the 3k spectrum and switchable UV/IR since all my autoflowers bloom under this light.

Good week of growth. Fed twice throughout the week. Couple signs of insects but hoping it's just the few fruit flies I have in the vicinity. Also continued with LST, both plants seem to like it. Growth on Alaskan purple is slow due to the shitty Amazon light overjead I believe. Seemango has a mars hydro ts1000 overtop.

There has been much change this week!!
First there was a big defoliation done, I cleaned the bottom of the plants.
All the growth that wouldn't amount to anything because the light doesn't penetrate that low.
Also took off the biggest fan leaves to give more room for light.
Then finally switched to 12/12..
After just 36 hours after the defoliation there was a major change.
New growth everywhere, colas started stretching upwards fast.
By far the tallest girls in the tent. Her colas are stacking up nice and tight if she keeps that up we'll have some nice dense colas. 😁
Great reaction to the defoliation and 12/12 switch.
I'm still watering every other day, After the defoliation I watered with only Enzymes 2ml/L to clean the roots a bit then started with the nutrientes again.
I dropped the amount of grow nutrients from 3ml/L to 1ml/L and started adding bloom nutrientes 2ml/L for now.
I'll slowly be upping the bloom nutrientes and after week 2 I'll no longer add grow nutrients.

This strain was easy to grow, she started flowering on the 5th week and reached maturity on the 13th week (8th week of flowering). I had 2 of these plants growing at the same time. White LSD#2 took on a reddish/burgundy tone which made it look completely different from#1 All in all it was really a easy grow.

Ladies still drink a lot of water, 3,4 L every 48 hours.
Main cola flowers are getting big, side colas less but still 2 weeks to go so hopefully they will continue.
The lady in the front, plant and buds have another aspect then the other 2. All of them are cherry cola. Also had some issues with her during veg phase and she began flowering earlier.

week intel:
its time for second pruning they grew up too fast and need second pruning as below :
first i remove big fan leaves and only leaves then let them rest for 1 day then the second part of pruning will get done that is removing branches based on these conditions:
1-if the branch is very low and never can make it to the top ,
2- if branch is in shade even after pruning fan leaves ,
3- if there are too many branches at the small space then non of them will get resources so if there is no space for branch then , they must get remove.
everything is perfect!
stresses :
pruning big fan leaves and lower branches + a little E.C stress around 1.7 once a week
feeding:
i feed them 3 times this week with this order :
day 1 : i feed them heavy with silicate +base nutrients(calcium & micros + Bloom) about 884 ppm - 1.7 e.c to cause a little stress.
day 3 : i feed them low dose of Feeding Booster + Karbo Boost around 325 ppm - 0.6 e.c to let them recover a little but not fully recover still a little stress will caused.
day 5 : i feed them with low dose of Top-Max + B-52 around 213 ppm - 0.4 e.c to let them recover the stresses to get ready for another stress next week.
guide of the week :
no more stresses from now on till the end and from next week i'll reduce the amount of nitrogen and calcium to below half to the end.

Beautiful pair of haze berries, both phenos #1 and #2 showing strong healthy roots and big leafs, can't wait to flower this ladies out, I Transplanted the plants after 17 days of being planted on February 2nd because the roots were super well developed and I considered that it was the right time to do so. So now they are in their new 11l house.

All is going ok and growing fast. Was underfeeding a bit and was a bit close to the lights and giving a bit of light stress and turning leaves pale green near the top half of the plants.
EDIT I think plants was going pale because they was underfed and not to close to the light?

FINISHED THE 2ND WEEK OF FLOWER, THEY REALLY FILLED OUT NICE FROM THE MAJOR DEFOLIATION I DID 3 WEEKS IN A ROW

STRIVE NUTRIENTS IS THE BEST IVE EVER USED. A MUST TRY AND I BUY IT MYSELF. GOT A SAMPLE LAST YEAR AND ITS SO GOOD I BOUGHT MORE. ITS A 2 PART POWDER NUTRIENT THAT DISSOLVES IN MINUTES AND YOU MIX THE SAME STRENGTH OF THE 2 PART NUTRIENTS FROM WEEK 2 UNTIL THEY ARE FINISHED (BESIDES THE FLUSH), NO MORE BULLSHIT OF SWITCHING TO BLOOM FERTILIZER. I guess the Colas stopped bulking up as quickly as at the beginning. Sadly, but that´s nature.
Maybe a last time watering with molasses and then the next 2weeks flushing. Maybe some ice cubes to see if she gets purple, but i doubt it :D
Day 107: its exactly 7 weeks since Mr. Pipi switched light cycle.
Girl is starting getting purple.
