🌿Week 4: Defoliation & SCROG Setup Week 4 was all about structure and airflow. The canopy was getting bushy fast, with a ton of inner growth, so we went in for a solid defoliation session across the board. Lower fans, overlapping leaves, and shaded internodes were cleaned up to let light penetrate deeper into the canopy and reduce potential humidity traps. Right after that, we finally dropped the SCROG net, stretched out gently across the canopy to guide the branches horizontally and prep for flower stacking. Some of these phenos are already reaching for the sky, so the timing felt just right. Captured a full-time-lapse clip of the defoliation + netting process. It’s super satisfying watching the chaos turn into clean lines. Nature meets intention. Feed Bloom since 20/6 22/6 Defoliation 🌱 Plant Response: After defol, they bounced back fast. Tops are perky, leaves are praying, and stretch is continuing in a controlled way. The structure’s more open now — better airflow, better light distribution, better everything.

Grow Diary – Day 79 (Flowering Day 59) Strain: Sour Frootz by Karma Genetics Plants: 4 clones Training: HST + SCROG Nutrients: Flushing – pH-adjusted water only Lighting: LED at 50% intensity Date: May 30 Status: Final flush in progress – harvest slightly delayed Today marks Flowering Day 59, and the Sour Frootz are now well into the ripening phase. For the past three days, only pH-adjusted water has been given, initiating the flush phase. At this point, the nutrients in the soil are nearly depleted, and the plants are naturally drawing on internal reserves—visible through gradual leaf yellowing and fade. The plants are approaching ideal harvest maturity. The delay in harvest by a few days allows more amber to develop and maximizes terpene maturity without compromising overall quality. Lighting Conditions: • The LED is currently running at 50% power to gently finish the ripening process while minimizing light stress and preserving essential oils during these final days. Plant Observations: • Buds are hard, resinous, and aromatic • Strong sour/citrus funk intensifies with every day • Natural senescence is occurring – older fan leaves fading evenly • No nutrient deficiencies or toxicity present • Humidity stable around 50%, airflow is optimal • No signs of mold or late-stage issues Outlook: Harvest is likely to occur within the next 3–5 days, depending on final trichome checks and desired effect. You’re in the home stretch now, with flavor and resin peaking. Continuing to monitor closely for optimal harvest timing is key from here.

The plant was looking a bit sad after transplant and the defoliation and training I've been doing. The shape is looking quite good now so I'll leave it alone to do its thing for a couple of weeks before flipping to flower.

DAY63 WEEK9 = Impatiently waiting till harvest time 😘 Beautiful to enjoy the plants ripening and finishing 😍😍😍 Congrats to BIOTABS, because their tablest are really superb 🙏 I'm super satisfied 😁😁😁 Wedding Gelato, Triple G, and Cookies Gelato are completely ripe.👍😃 All their buds are rockhard 💪😖 👉 Cookies Gelato have become completely purple with beautiful piled buds and orange pistils, and looks delicious. Smells of berries and 😵 👉 Wedding Gelato has round buds (easy to trim) with mixed colors : gold, brass, brown, yellow, red and green colors with orange pistils 😊 Fine and accessible smell, pleasant and no overbearing 😄 🙏 👉 Triple G will be the hardest to trim, because of her quirky shaped buds. She has big internodes and big buds scattered across her tall sturdy stalks. Beautiful buds, a pleasure for the eyes. Her smell is pungent, sometimes narcotic even. She will get you stoned in no time 😋 👉 Liberty Haze could have another week. But she lacks some nitrogen; watch her leaves turn yellow, and make her taste sooo soft 👻 She hasn't any purple or red colors, only green and yellow. Her buds are leafy, not that firm, but volumineus. She's soo sweet, with hints of lime. 😘 I defoliated the plants in week 3 because I had to treat the plants against spider mites. Because of this, the plants had fewer leaves, the light could penetrate much deeper and now the lower buds are ripen as well 🙏. Week 8 there hasn’t been any drastic changes for either of the girls. Girl #1 is looking better and better each day. Girl #2 is just being as stubborn as can be. Girl #2 still hasn’t showed any signs of flowering. I’m gonna continue to be patient with her she’s a very late bloomer. I can’t believe she’s been in veg for 8 weeks.I know some of you expert growers have experienced a long veg similar to my experience.Not sure if it’s good or bad luck just yet being my first run of autos. I have to admit. When i saw this week coming to The end and girl #2 wasn’t showing signs of flowering, I got down face to face with her quietly whispering (You better flower soon or it’s time for the trash can 😂😂) lol 😆 I had a weak moment was very frustrated. I thank all of you that have shared your information cause without it I would have been panicking. I’m gonna be patient and let the plant tell me when she’s ready. Everything has been running smoothly. I have given both girls light bloom nutrients. I have learned so much and it has been a pleasure watching the magic happen. Temps at 78-84 f, humidity inside dome around 68-76 depending on temps. Direct planting into coco jiffy plugs, charged with a light seaweed extract. Took 2 days exactly for seed to pop out of plugs. Plants keep growing very well, stopped to stretch and already start showing pistils. This in only 14 days of flowering. That shows how fast you can grow using clones instead of starting from seeds, infact clones have same age of mother plants from wich are taken, that have already reached sexual maturity by far and so they are much more ready to flower unlike plants bornt from seed.
