Back with another update on the viewer selected multi strain SOG. If you're just joining us, we have these photo-dependant ladies vegging in our 48"x 24" VIVOSUN tent. I have been doing a lot of heavy defoliation and pruning the past week. I also made a few upgrades in the bloom tent and moved a few of the cultivars into bloom under 12/12. Also, I realized my BlueLab Conductivity Meter has the option to switch to EC. Since EC is the most accurate way to measure the nutrient concentration in a solution, I will now be measuring and reporting EC readings rather than PPM.
I am honestly super stoked about every single plant in this run. That said, I think I am probably most impressed by the 🍭🎅🏻 COTTON CANDY CANE lady from Emerald Triangle Seeds. She is incredibly vigorous. She was started nearly a month after all the others (except the 🦍🍪 GORILLA x COOKIES) and has already caught up to some of the taller plants in the run. Special thanks to those guys for sending the freebies for me to try out! Definitely want to try more from this breeder! She is almost a month behind the other plants and is almost as tall as the tallest cultivars started on 8/10. All in all, everything looks great.

- Added a BOTANICARE 48" x 48" low-tide flood tray on top of six 4" tall cinder-blocks with a low-profile motorcycle oil-pan for the water to drain into beneath the flood tray.
- I transplanted eleven cultivars into black 12" tall Active Aqua brand 12" x 12" square pots and inserted 3' fiberglass garden stakes into the center of the rootball near the main stem of each plant. Each stake goes to the bottom of the 12" pot. All transplants have nice solid root balls due to being slightly rootbound. I knew I'd likely run short on premixed soil, so I decided to transplant the largest plants first. Of course, I ran out of soil after 11 plants were transplanted. It seems like I used a lot more soil than usual with this method and in tgese pots.
- I mixed a new batch of soil using the same recipe. I will give the five smallest gorls a few more days to grow taller. That will give this batch of soil a little time to innoculate.
- I moved the 11 transplants into the 96" x 48"bloom tent under 12/12 lighting schedule.

She received approximately 1 gallon of solution. I mixed 12 gallons of solution for all the plants I have in flower. 1 gallon of that was then measured and fed to this cultivar.

The solution starts with 12 gal tap H2O through two kdf filters mixed in a 36 gallon reservoir. The solution is applied via wand sprayer powered by a submersible pump attached to a garden hose. Nutrients and additives are added to the reservoir in the order listed below and thoroughly mixed uding a plastic stir spoon. The reservoir is oxygenated by four 4 inch air stones.

Flower Week 3
Plants are doing great, are ready for Food, I installed a drip system, with air stones in the reservoir. Got some microscope images of the Bud sites, smell is beginning to get stronger. Very Cheesy
Mid Week Update:
Drip system is working well, the plants seem to have burst with growth over the last 3 days.
Before when watering with the smart fabric pots, I was getting a lot of run off from the bags. The drip system makes a big difference as I had no water in the trays underneath after running a complete cycle on the drip system, which took 24 hours.
Bud growth is awesome, the entire canopy is fairly even with few shaded bud sites.
I wont be tucking much at this point I believe the stretch is over.

today is the end of the fourth week for the plants, they haven't progressed much since last week, they grew a few cm and gained a little weight, but they are healthy, which is the most important thing... in a few days I will transplant them and top them because some of them have already developed the sixth pair of leaves, so I simply have to top them. turned out...
I thought of transplanting them into 10-liter pots and after two to three weeks into 50-liter holes, however, the weather didn't cooperate, and I was already late anyway because of the bad weather, and because of the same, my plants in the fourth week were the same as they should have been in the second, and because of the same, I couldn't even transplant earlier... now that nothing went according to the "plan", of course, I don't know how smart it is to transplant them into 10 L and then into 50 with the fact that it is with me the longest day of the year is June 22, so that actually a week after that it can start flowering (it usually starts at the end of July or at the end of August, but it can be late and start even in September, and it also knows how to plow and start already at the end of June)...now I think that it is better to buy smart pots of 50-60 liters and immediately transplant into them and then just bury them...another problem with that is that the soil that I took for vegetation has food in it for a month days, if I transplant twice, it may happen that it enters flowering, and the food for the vegetation has not yet been used up, and that would be a problem...advices are welcome

Woche 16 – Vegetation 🌿 | Der letzte Tag vor dem Flip
Diese Woche stand ganz im Zeichen der Vorbereitung. Nach dem großen Entlauben letzte Woche durfte sich die Laughing Buddha erst einmal erholen – und genau das hat sie eindrucksvoll getan.
Innerhalb weniger Tage hat sie das gesamte Blätterdach wieder geschlossen und dabei ordentlich Höhe gemacht. Im Zeitraffer sieht man besonders gut, wie gleichmäßig sich das SCROG füllt. Die vielen Triebe arbeiten inzwischen als eine einzige, geschlossene Krone – genau das Ziel, das ich von Anfang an verfolgt habe.
Auch unter dem Blätterdach hat sich die Arbeit gelohnt. Das kräftige Lollipopping sorgt für eine offene Struktur und einen sauberen Luftstrom. Jetzt kann die Pflanze ihre Energie auf die zukünftigen Colas konzentrieren, anstatt kleine, schattige Triebe zu versorgen.
Diese Woche habe ich außerdem begonnen, meine neue Sensortechnik intensiver zu nutzen. Besonders spannend ist die Bodenfeuchte: Die Sensoren zeigen, dass der äußere Wurzelbereich inzwischen deutlich mehr Wasser verbraucht als der Bereich direkt am Stamm. Deshalb teste ich aktuell kleinere, dafür häufigere Wassergaben, um die Bodenfeuchtigkeit möglichst konstant zu halten und den Mikroorganismen optimale Bedingungen zu bieten.
Das Dachbodenklima bleibt weiterhin die größte Herausforderung. An warmen Nachmittagen kämpft die Klimaanlage gegen die Sommerhitze, während der Luftbefeuchter versucht, die Luftfeuchtigkeit stabil zu halten. Trotzdem bleibt das Klima insgesamt noch in einem guten Bereich und die Pflanze zeigt keinerlei Anzeichen von Stress.
Morgen ist es endlich soweit:
Der Wechsel auf 12/12. 🌸
Nach über vier Monaten Vegetationszeit beginnt nun die Blütephase. Das Netz ist gefüllt, die Pflanze ist gesund und kräftig – jetzt darf sie zeigen, was in ihr steckt. Der kommende Stretch wird entscheiden, wie sich die rund 80 Triebspitzen entwickeln und ob der Plan aufgeht.
Ich freue mich riesig auf die nächsten Wochen. Jetzt wird aus einem grünen Teppich hoffentlich bald ein Meer aus Blüten. 🍀💚

05/09/18 - Everything’s looking good so far had to tie some more wire around the stems. I’ve replaced canna boost with terpinator and should hopefully getting my big bud coco tomorrow and start adding that to the mix 🏻
06/09/18 - added some big bud into the mix this afternoon let’s hope the buds start chunking up.
08/09/18 - seen some brownish spots appearing on girl #1 And #3 and not on #2 yet but I’ll be keeping an eye out.
09/09/18 - brown spots have seemed to come to a hault not seen anymore progression , I’ve upped the terpinator from 2ml too 4ml per litre and also removed rhizotonic (ran out to be honest) and cal mag has went up to 1.5ml per litre. 💧💧💦

Umzug ins Blütezelt. Systemtechnik machts einfach. Keine Erde, kein Dreck... nur ein Paar Wasserspritzer.
Zeitrafferkamera ist aufgebaut. Erster Test war ok, aber das geht besser.
Da heute auch Wasserwechsel im Blütekreis war, konnte ich sie langsam an die höhere Düngekonzentration gewöhnen... ob die Stunde was bei den Blattspitzen bringt ist fraglich. Ich berichte.

End of day 54 flower.
Trimmed off all fan leaves on day 49.
Day 54 moved both girls to a 4x2x5 tent where they will be following there new light schedule until harvest time. They will know winter is coming and start producing more trichomes with low humidity, cold water, less sunlight, lower heat, and then stab her on the main stem before the final day to be cut down. Still feeding them nutes and will probably flush around day 60. Trichomes are still clear and will be watching until they turn 30-40% Amber and then get the cut. Thanks for stopping by. Peace out ✌️

Today is Day 50 !! We have started flower an they are just looking amazing! We have switched up the nutrients for flower, instead of 1 tsp bloom and 3 tsp of veg , we just swap 3 tsp of bloom and 1 tsp of veg !! Can’t wait to see what these laddies do this week!!

The MC3 is a real beast I wish I gave it some support its packin on weight down the stretch probably gunna be one I hang onto and run another couple rounds. The MC4 is slower Im actually still giving that one light feeds but also has potential I'll see how that shapes out and I'll have to run MC6 again since I tossed it. MC2 is the big one it always throws down this might be the best run I've had with it yet.
Started the flush on most of these last week. Everything has been steady all around. Going to start taking them down a few at a time over the next week or 2 some will go longer than others so they'll come down 3 or 4 at a time.

Last week I had decided to flower the plant as it is growing very large, here are a few notes for new growers.
Always flip your plant's light schedule when the plant is at the desired height this plant is now 3 1/2 feet tall. Cannabis plants tend to double in size depending on how well they are taking care of.
If you do not pay close attention to the height of your plants you will inevitably have a plant that will outgrow your tent.
Here are a few notes for some growers that have not grown in h20.,
First you can grow your cannabis in any substrate you want, the substrates that growers put here are common that you can find all over the Internet and in some local flowering shops however, all that matters is that the roots touch the water. You can grow in the glass fish balls, you can grow in non-toxic gel balls, you can pretty much grow in any substrate you want.
Second note: growing in h20 in my opinion is a lot more easier than growing in soil. Some growers will say that cannabis has a different taste in soil there is no science that concludes that the cannabis will taste any better or any less good in H2O or soil. It is all opinion.
However, growing in H2O does need to be taken care of carefully. Always remember to make sure no light is getting inside the reservoir and keep the reservoir clean of all debris. It's the same concept of having a pool. If you have a pool with no debridement it will stay crystal-clear with no filtration for a very long time. However, if you get debris in a pool unwanted organisms will start to grow such as algae bacteria, and other things that you would not want to touch your body, take that concept and apply it to a cannabis plant.
Hydro guard is a failsafe in case you are too lazy to keep the reservoir clean. It will prevent root slime rot and many root problems (It's beneficial bacteria similar to what is in recharge only for H2O)
Lastly, Your plants if grown in hydrogen will grow rapidly more rapidly than in soil you yield will be produced faster. Also, remember the substrate is free, if you cannot purchase deionized water you can use regular tap water as long as the PPM is low, even so, you can offset the PPM as long as it's tested. You will save hundreds of dollars in soil Perlite, and other fertilizers. Some growers will state that the chemical fertilizers are bad for you, that is completely untrue and also unproven. Again NASA uses general hydroponics To grow produce in space.

FBT5 in Mr. B's has been no trouble at all so far, still moist in there so i've not watered on day 5, spraying the soil with amino, did one foliar this week on day 5. Probably will fix the fan over the weekend so it's pointing straight up. FBT5 is an interesting one, vigorous in many ways, it seems to be working hard below grownd . anyway I'll try to get an in soil pH reading on the Mr. B's asap. but it will mostly be secondary nutrients and co2 from now on.
