This week went well. She finally got some good size to her and should be done stretching as the week ends. I did a slight lst on her and opened her up a little. She recieved a good soaking today amd shouldn't need topped off till mid to late next week. She isn't so much a problem child anymore.

10 September Harvest - see pictures. While some growers leave the plant whole when they cut, I do not. It is a personal preference and situational convenience if your a home grower. I chose to cut large, long branches, and remove any whole water leaves, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the bud formation. I don’t trim yet. This is done for a few of reasons: 1) It’s my last good close-up look at her until another 5 days or more, 2) I don’t want wet leaves drying on my buds if I can help it, and 3) I occasionally like being able to shine a small LED flashlight on the flowers while its drying. Mold is our greatest problem as growers, it can destroy a beautiful grow right up until the end process. Then I hang it in a dark closet, provide circulation and ventilation. Light and heat, anything above 80 degrees F, will start a break down in cannabinoids during the dry, it is ideal to stay away from both. I’m fortunate that a humidity level of 50- 55% and temperature of 65-70 degrees F is fairly consistent and easy to maintain. Anything below 60 degree F will prevent the adequate drying out of chlorophyll. Almost all my flower routinely take 5-7 days, some a little longer, to properly dry out. 15 September Trim - see pictures. First you’ll notice the buds have shrunk up to half their original size. This is just a fact that we growers have to deal with. Due to evaporation without uptake of water, it takes about 3 days for the chlorophyll to dry up, then slowly go through a chemical change. Along with the leaves, cannabinoids also begin a chemical change after 3 days called decarboxylation. A slow process where the THC level increases while curing. You want the leaf to be dry so they can be hand trimmed easily, but you do not want that bud so dry that it starts to fall apart in your hand. Try to handle carefully by the main stem to avoid touching the bud all together. A lot of these cut leaves will be covered with trichomes, good for making oils, or other products, it’s an option worth looking into keeping it. After trimming, I do separate a few premium flowers for my first smoq. Then loosely fill wide mouth quart mason jars with about 1 oz/28 gr of product per jar. I seal the lids for a few hours to determine what relative humidity they are at, see hygrometer pic, before making a decision to put in a 62% humidity control pack of my choice or to wait, then place in secure in a cool dark place with stable humidity and temperature. It is very important to then observe/burp or exchange the air as needed, up to several times a day, until 62% rh is achieved. Once your close to to your mark, put in your desired RH level control terpene shield. If you have a problem getting there: 1) it has dried out too much, no real solution, try to put several large cut stems left over from harvest into the jars with the buds to try and increase humidty, 2) it has not dried out enough, in this case no problem, just remove and dry out a little more. This is also a personal choice, some people like it drier in the 50% plus range. Whatever you do, research and preserve. At that time burping is no longer required. Cannabis will reach its peak potency potential at about 40 or so days into the cure. The finished product should be a perfect grind when cured correctly without clogging up your grinder, this could take a month. Now that I’ve said that, I’m sure someone has grown something that they have not been able to grind. It can remain in this state for an easy 6 months with little change, locking in all the terpenes and potencies. All you need to do is occasionally check the product to ensure there are no molds. If your grow/harvest/cure techniques are good this should not be an issue. It would not be uncommon to find many cannabis strains will last, with small degradable change, for up to one year after being stored this way. Using an airtight glass container, controlled relative humidity, maintained low temperature, and kept in darkness will equal maximum shelf life. Always avoid direct sunlight and temperatures above 80 degrees F. The reasons I’ve ultimately chosen Deep Water Culture as a grow medium. Each has their own pros and cons indeed. I found the most efficient, less maintenance and ideal solution for my situation was DWC. Burdens to overcome depend on size up set-up; initial equipment cost, size of containers, ph monitors, air pumps, type of water to use-reverse osmosis, RO cost/set-up/maintenance, ways to transfer/change water and nutrients, what nutrients to use and schedules, takes several grows to learn and understand, a 1 year learning curv, easy to nutrient burn. The Benefits of growing in water; no dirt, no bugs, no diseases, rare nutrient deficiencies/toxicities, steady and rapid growth that enables the plant to reach its genetic potential. After harvest, there is about a 1 hour equipment cleanup, sterilization and turn around process before replanting. Cannabis will perform in so many different ways and mediums, no one way is the best and the best way is the one you are using, right. Chose what works for you in the long run. There will always be an initial cost in set-up. My advice if one were in need to cut corners, I would not recommend cheap lights. This single factor is the most critical, afford for the best. The notion that organic and water has a different taste, flavor and potency effect is absolutely debatable. The more we learn the better we grow and experience is always the best teacher. This is what works for me and my methods of growing in general from beginning to end. A BIG “Thank You” to everyone who stopped by to take a look. Giorno 74 E anche l'ultima pianta (Milk Monkey) è stata raccolta. Difficilmente coltivero indoor durante l'estate dato che sento di aver perso qualcosa in fatto di resina e terpeni visto le alte temperature. Questa pianta però rimane una bomba 💣!!! Lasciata appesa 7gg a 24° e 55% ur mi sono fumato i 3 grammi dei 103gr raccolti e già ora in bocca è un esplosione di sapori. Domina il cioccolato poi delle spezie e un fondo di gorilla glue#4. Tanta roba Exotic Genetics. Appena ho i soldi e trovo qualcosa di interessante è sicuro che compro ancora da voi. Aggiornerò diario con foto di fumi estrazione e dei fiori secchi. Plant is looking good, but the heat this summer is huge. On the average afternoon we touch 33-35 °C, really hard for the plant, I have to water every 2 days... while once a week i go for the nutrient watering, which is the same of the last week, more and less. Got some chlorosis on some of the older leaves, as you can see, almost always on the central compost leaflet, if anybody have guesses, well you are welcome to share!

So basically this is the last week I give the ladies before I flush the ladies out . Everything is going fantastic . Lots of new gizmos and gadgets in the grow room now taking it to the next level . Im very please to say that this has so far been a very very pleasant experience for me and Im starting to really look forward to the end because it smells AMAZING! The plats are not been trained, defoliated or anything, grown naturally. I’m blown away how fast this plants are growing. First time outdoors and the experience is very nice, I love the fact it requires little to no effort, in the setup I have chosen. As it is raining a lot, I’m using only a dry amendment I have built to use on them periodically, this way I’m not adding more liquids to the root system that is already highly saturated, essentially I’m using the following recipe update, I don’t know if it is correct but I live it all mixed. Use about a table spoon and a half every 15 days. - Azomite 500g - Natural fosfate 500g - Biochar 1kg - Bokashi 1kg -Kelp meal 500g -Mamona meal 1kg -chicken meal 1kg -Potassium silicate 500g -Gypsum farm 500g -Diatomaceous earth 500g -Bunny guano 300g -Bat guano 1kg -Oyster shell powder 1kg -Cow blood meal 1kg -Cow bones powder meal 1kg. -Wormcastings, spare use not in the mix. The plants are showing good coloring, no fade and no deficiencies, the green is not to deep, nor too light. As the leafs are taking a lot of water and strong sun and wind, the leafs are feeling a bit. As the wind is high since day 1 the stems are very resistant, strong. The Fastberry Is on the smaller size if compared to the other plants, together with the Banana purple punch, then we have the Bluedream and the CBD crack on the larger sizes thriving a lot, I expect to approach the end of flowed in a few weeks, the girls are very fast indeed. I’m looking forward to collect the fruits :)

Week 12 complete and she's starting to fatten up a tad more. Pistils are going brown but she kicks up new white ones every morning. 80-90% clear tricomes still and as I hoped she looks like she's got another week or two to go. Slight clawing of the leaves and some brown spots but they're very few of them. I've raised the LED a couple of inches just in case of light burn. Or it may be she still has a lot of food in the coco as after checking the runoff of tds it was around 1000ppm but as it's living soil she should just take what she needs and stop when she's had enough. And I'm still just feeding her water as I'm 'flushing' her. The Symphylans are still doing their job well from the looks of her!! After researching Symphylans, they are microscopic centipede like insects that are white and they mainly eat seedling roots or decaying organic matter..so they're essentially cleaning the medium..and they stay under the soil away from the light. They can makes holes in roots for pathogens to enter her..but as she's doing so well and as it's only a week or two away from harvest I'm not going to worry about it. So those dying branches are what root rot looks like :s She is still growing ok, I'm smoking the branches that die. I've added Great White for some bacteria as i read that can help with root rot, hopefully it slows it down so at least buds grow.

Hi everyone, brothers and sisters of Weed! The beautiful glazed wedding cakes are strengthening quite well, their sprouts are beginning to escape from the net and their leaves do not show any kind of growth problem .... we continue like this!

Week 11 She fattened up in bud size and smell this week. Also a lot of leaves began to grow bigger so they catch a lot of sun. I kinda leave the plant alone for now, just maybe a bit of correcting LST and moving away fan leaves that are on top of buds (not cutting away). She is really a fat one and didn't expect her to do so great after topping her and LST-ing her to the maximum. She even broke a big side branche, but I managed to hold it together to the main cola with some small wire. The wound healed carefully and buds are doing just fine. Smell is getting really pungent with that classic sour smell that does me think of a critical kush. The smaller one is also beginning to smell really pungent, but it's not the same type of smell as the topped one. She smells more smoothly and fruity. They both are going into week 12, but I think harvest will be in week 13 or maybe even 14.

Week 9: Day 57-60: Seemed to have gotten the deficiencies(rather PH fluctuations causing them) under control. 4AM#3 took a while to recover but it has stopped progressing for the time being and the buds have continued to bulk up while the pistols start to orange out. 4#1 and #2 are doing good. They recovered faster and started to really bulk up. I'd say 4AM#1 has about 50-70% orange pistils while 4AM#2 and #3 are at about 10% by day 60. Damn like I said last week 4AM#2's buds are gona get huge! One of them tipped over on day 60, had to add support, but quite hard to find a spot when half the branch is the bud... Day 61-63: Continuing to bulk up, the 1.25x Calmg dose on day 60 seemed to do them well! 4AM#3 hasn't been showing any new signs of deficiencies, so that's good! Hoping she won't be too premature when I chop the plants(I am chopping days 73-74, only days I have time), but the pistils are starting to go crazy! Around 50% orange pistols now on 4AM#2 and #3! And 4AM#1 has about 90-95% orange pistils. When I used the handheld microscope, which is hard, the trichomes are almost all milky and some 5% amber on 4AM#1 and about 30-50% milky and a few amber on #2 and #3, seems like it will be just right! Can't wait! Gave em their last big feed of blume nutes on Dy 63, will be giving them plain PH'd water with Regulator till harvest. 10 Days left! almost there! 4AM#3 might look ugly but she still frosty and thicc as hell! Oh and they smell delicious!!! 😵 EDIT: Oh and just wanted to say thank you for all the help you all have given me so far! Oh and shout out to FastBuds, which sent me a message last week saying they were interested in me growing their genetics! They're sending me some free seeds for my next grow! How awesome is that!
