Another week has flown by, and our girl is thriving, packing on more weight and filling out beautifully. The jealousy-inducing colors of Zamnesia's genetics are starting to show, with vibrant purple hues emerging on the flowers. The buds are massive, sticky, and exude an enticing aroma. Our girl is looking absolutely delicious!

Light fluffy bud, but so much of it that weight got up there in the end. Really soft smoke with some earthy textures and tastes. Less sweet smelling than the previous haze but has a lot more earthy, baking smell to it this one.

September 25 > Harvest at dawn for the big girl. The usual routine... except I shot a time-lapse video this time to play with the camera I won last year. Clipped the top buds first - then the base. Took me 2 hours to wash all that -rinse - repeat. ---------------------------------------- Well this was an interesting summer with this pair of girls. I learned that I don't really need a container larger than 10 gallons in order to grow very large plants (in my neck of the woods anyway). Now when I say large I mean how much space they take up on my patio. I'm allowed to grow 6 legally but 4 eats up pretty much the whole patio. And the reality is I don't need to grow plants that large. The outdoor yield will last well into next year for me and everybody I know. So next summer I plan to do much more serious pruning to limit the scope and shape of the girls I grow outdoors. I also learned that I don't need an inverted tomato cage style support if my container is larger than 5 gallons. The Durban I grew last summer was in a 5 gallon container and there's not enough weight in there to keep her grounded. Once up to 10 gallons you won't want to lift the container much and there's enough weight in there to keep things stable. At the moment I've listed 450g as a dry weight for both plants (updated to 458g final). I haven't actually weighed the 2nd plant yet and won't even trim her for about a week or so (I'll be back to update diary). The first girl came in at 235 grams. I got pretty ruthless throwing away small budlets and trim this morning as it took me 4 hours to take this big girl down and wash her up. That's only because I spent half a day yesterday trimming Cream & Cheese and moving Northern Lights around... and it's been over 95 degrees both days... so I'm ready for a rest. Cannabis harvesting is not easy labor. Diary note > There was a software malfunction a week or so back and I was unable to add a new flowering week, whereupon it was determined there was a limit of 26 weeks at that time... so I didn't add any more weeks after that until the harvest week. When I added the harvest week, it appears the malfunction had been corrected because I COULD HAVE added a new flowering week at that time. I think there's only a week missing. Differences can be noted with dates on the photos. If I had a problem this summer it's because I was too anxious to get going after a long winter nursing shoulder surgery and I didn't pay proper attention to the lighting ramifications when the instructions were there for me, and subsequently started too early. Next year I plan for an early crop of auto flowers to keep me occupied until the proper time for a regular crop. --------------------------------------- September 30 > Trimming and processing complete. I really manhandled the big girl with the Trimbag, largely because I knew I was gonna have a pound of herb on my hands (way more than I will personally consume) and I wanted to minimize my hand trimming. So when I say manhandled here, I mean I ran it through the process TWICE, using about 40 rotations/spins each time. It probably would have helped to be a tad drier, but we're entering a cool spell now and we've run out of time. Mother Nature has decided to turn off the heater... which has turned my Purple Berry Kush a nice shade of purple... but that's tomorrow mornings's harvest... <sigh>... anyway... where was I... oh yeah... AMNESIA... <hehe> Trimbag generated trim on 1st pass = 217 g Trimbag generated trim on 2nd pass = 90 g Trim generated by hand after that = 186 g Final bud weight for big girl = 223 g Clearly, comparing weight of trim generated by hand vs by the Trimbag here you can see the result of my "manhandling". Little girl was in a 10 gallon pot and generated 235 g buds and 360 g trim. Big girl was in a 15 gallon pot and generated 223 g buds and 493 g trim. Final total bud weight 458 grams for both plants. Hope anybody following along learned something this summer. I did. 😎 The trick is to not make the same mistake twice. That's kinda why we're all here. Kinda. ✊

05.09. Dimmed one light to the half, they begin to smell lightly. 10.09. Moved the Spiderfarmer Dehumidifer into the room, lowering the humidity from 80% down to 52%.

Going great she is starting to fade into some nice colors. Just giving top dressing and occasionally some molasses.

Both girls started preflower on Tuesday and already I can see that they started stretching nicely. Scrog net will be installed by the end of this week. Week 5 13-19 Nov. 13/11 day 36 First runoff experience for girls. Loaded both pots with approx. 2.5 ltr each in 4 stages of 500-700ml. Runoff 100-150ml from each. Runoff PH 5.9. Nutrients for this watering were same as on previous week and added only calmag. Next watering possibly Friday but with new measurements. 14/11 day 37 Both 🍌💜👊 girls started preflower on same day. Xena is catching up quick to her larger sister and possibly soon they will be sharing this growing space 50/50 15-16/11 days 38-39 Just happy and healthy days 😁 nice steady growth. 17/11 day 40 Second watering for this week. 5.5l beetwen both. Runoff Ph 6.1 19/11 day 42 Most busiest day so far. Both girls got very bushy in last few days and they stretched enough to install scrog net. He who stops is lost, as an old saying goes I don't know exactly what the origins are, so here's a new Zamnesia season. We are in the middle of winter and despite growing in an area that isn't the warmest in Europe, it's really cold now. It's 16-18 degrees Celsius in the house and we need to bring the temperature of the propagator growbox between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius. So we first placed a layer of those 1 cm thick "rubberized" floors that are used for gyms, they are easily found on Amazon and are very useful for insulation. Then a heated resistance mat and then the closed propagator on top. Inside with our seedlings and the light on at minimum 20% we reached 24 degrees, not bad in fact the germination is proceeding very well. 100% opening of the seeds in water and almost all of them are opening in our biodegradable peat pots. ----- Our Rainbow Sherbet has a beautiful package of seeds, colorful that really makes you want to grow it. The genetic conditions are all there and at birth everything went smoothly like hemp oil. If you have placenta problems read below. It is an indica predominance if it does well we will send it to the AWC competition and see what happens. WARNING: Placenta Problems ---- ALWAYS look very carefully at the seedlings, if the seed or the placenta prevent the opening of the cotyledon leaves the plant dies after a while. Remove it delicately as if it were a condom or almost. I apologize for the example but it gives the idea to remove slowly delicately please. WARNING: If you choose biodegradable pots choose the largest possible and not paper/cardboard ones there are peat which is the main component of most of the soil we use. If you want to avoid transmitting vibrations to your neighbors I recommend you install one of these gym floors under your growboxes, I did it and I also feel safer not to disturb. They are easily found on Amazon in different thicknesses, I took a gym model that is assembled like a puzzle, they are also found in children's shops, they are those floors that are assembled to make children play safely, or to train and to avoid vibrations from equipment or of any kind. week 3 is a tough rn not gonna lie shes yellowing extremely fast and shes begging me for potassium. i was just giving her 2 tsps to 3 gallons of water. as of today (jan 8 2022) i gave her a feed of 1 and 1/4 bloom and 1/4 veg nutes to try to fight the yellowing. i honestly dont know if that was the right thing to do most threads i read just said to add some nitrogen but idk if dyna gros bloom and grow are meant to be mixed. especially this late in flower. either way its too late i already gave it to her i guess now all i can do is wait and see what happens. you can see how fast the yellowing is happening too.

Friday nov 4: So 5 days after the week 12 update (today), i flushed her with 30 liter pure rainwater and afterwards poured 10 liter with only ripen @650ppm ph6.2 trough the medium this is like a waterchange. Now i let her go for about a week or 10 days and water with the ripen everyday, the first runoff is a bit lower (around400ppm) but this will increase everyday I will put more pictures sunday when we really reached the 13 week mark. The pictures with the red text are from today (week 12 day5) So she will be cut down at exactly week 14. I have let her go a bit longer then normal to see if i can bump the potency She also vegged in colder temperatures so she might have slowed down there. For now she looks at the right stage for the ripen the buds are rockhard on top and very swollen a bit foxtail from the “overdrive” last weeks. Anyway this was the grow guys, see u at the harvest
