6/29/2021 - New mains for quadlining growing out nicely since topping. - Watered with un-PH'd de-chlorinated tap water. - Foliar fed with DIY kelp extract. - She's jumping out the gym, very excited. - It's been 5 weeks of alternating DIY nutrient teas (coconut water + kelp extract + neem & karanja extract + water) and un-PH'd Toronto tap water, and I've seen no signs of deficiencies or lockouts. - She's taking well to the various DIY foliar sprays as well, no burning. 7/1/2021 - I think one of my bottle sprayers is infected with butyric acid, 'cause it stinks in here, loll. - SHE WANTS TO GROOOWWW! 7/4/2021 - Growth a week after topping is strong. Hoping the auxins in the kelp foliar, and nutrients in coconut water are responsible. - I barely need to train her right now, it's as if she wanted to be topped. Besides some periodic light bending, she seems to be leveling out her branches herself.

I upped the feeding schedule to 3x10min from 2x10min. Slight odd wilting at the beginning of some leaves near the stem, it doesn't look like anything of great concern, but I'll be keeping an eye on how it develops.

Day 68-16/02/22 I’ve harvested 6 of the 25 so far they are drying some more to come down over the next days all buds looking juicy and crystals everywhere!!!

Checked TDS PPM on 24 June, the reading originally started at 1290, was now 455, so I decided to change solution earlier than scheduled. Checked TDS PPM on 27 June and the reading was 390. So the nutrient solution was changed again. Larger plants consume much more nutrients and may require a modified feeding schedule. I’ll just observe and see how she does. Some plants are sensitive to this. Again I’m talking about DWC specifically. Her smell has intensified this week, defined by a pineapple scent! It truely does! This week I have fed my girls for the last time (feed-water-water-feed) and I think they are ready to go into a flush, I know one of them really needs it but I shall not name and shame 😂 but overall been a pretty boring ass week, although last week I said I didnt care about the deficiencies something is getting worse and I want to know why to stop it getting g worse a d prevent this happening again I shall ask the question down below, thanks for dropping In and giving this a read, Happy Growing!👊👍

Hey now, hope everyone is having a great week. The Glueberry OG is still hanging in there, she is only 10 inches by week 5, but she appears to be fairly healthy. I did some LST this week, mainly readjusting the uppermost mains to try and allow the lowers to catch up. I did go out of the state for a few days and when I got back the PH in my reservoir was at 7.1 which is way too high. I miscalculated how much it would rise while I was gone, I should have had someone swing by and check it, but i will next time. Fortunately it doesn't appear to have affected this Glueberry OG as all her leaves are still lime green. It did affect the Strawberry Banana from Fastbuds slightly, as the lower leaves have a couple rust spots but nothing major. Fortunately the two youngest plants were not even hooked up to the reservoir yet. I am still very pleased with this Medic Grow light, as I still have her on the V1 Spectrum at 60% now and she is keeping the plants short and bushy. I believe this Glueberry OG is about to start stretching maybe this week or next at the latest. I will do my best to limit her height as much as possible, as this light is way too powerful to have her colas getting any closer than 10-12 inches at most. Not much left to do with this Glueberry OG except continue some minor LST to keep her level, and determine when to switch to flower nutrients. I see many growers switch to flower nutrients as soon as they see pre-flowers, pistils, etc, but I disagree with this method. I continue feeding veg nutrients until I see my lady stop growing vertically. The reason is if you cut off the nitrogen too early she will stop stretching and just produce flowers, so the length of her colas will be GREATLY reduced. If I am running out of vertical space during the stretch, I will make the switch a little early. Die Runtz x Layer Cake ist etwas später dran; ihre Wurzeln fangen jetzt erst richtig an zu greifen, weshalb sie obenrum noch etwas hell/gelblich wirkt. Da beide im selben DWC-System stehen, wird die Nährstofflösung nun präzise angepasst. 💧 Wasserwerte & Setup • System: DWC mit voller Hesi-Serie (TNT, Wurzelkomplex, SuperVit). • Werte: pH 5,8 | EC 0,97 (sinkend) | Wasser-Temp: 19,9°C. • Besonderheit: Der ORP-Wert von 317 mV bestätigt eine saubere, sauerstoffreiche Wurzelumgebung. Maßnahmen • Nährstoff-Management: Da der EC-Wert sinkt, fressen die Pflanzen gut. Ich hebe den Ziel-EC leicht auf 1,1 an, um den Hunger der AK-47 zu stillen und der Runtz mehr Reserven zu bieten. • Support: Die Runtz erhält eine leichte Blattdüngung (Hesi TNT + Wurzelkomplex), um die Nährstoffaufnahme zu unterstützen, bis ihr Wurzelsystem voll etabliert ist. • Handling: Beim Wasserwechsel wurden die Wurzeln kurzzeitig geschützt im Eimer gelagert – alles lief reibungslos. Fazit: Die AK-47 gibt das Tempo vor, die Runtz zieht jetzt langsam nach. Die Bedingungen sind mit pH 5,8 und kühlem Wasser ideal.

New week. 55-65 DLi. Been smoking some Pakistani Landrace this week, must say, its exceptional. The plant shifts its energy entirely from vegetative growth to flower production. Small blemishes are creeping in, but expected, holding up remarkably well given the circumstances. A high CEC acts as a nutrient "storehouse", preventing essential cations from being washed away by water (leaching) and making them available for gradual plant uptake. Soils with high CEC can store larger quantities of nutrients, allowing for less frequent, potentially larger, fertilizer applications compared to low-CEC (sandy) soils which require smaller, more frequent doses. By providing a steady and dependable supply of nutrients, high-CEC soils support healthier plant growth and potentially higher crop yields. High CEC is typically associated with soils rich in clay and organic matter, which also generally have a greater water-holding capacity, benefiting crops during dry periods. While high-buffer soils require larger amounts of amendments (like lime) to change their pH initially, they need to be limed or amended less frequently, simplifying long-term management. High CEC and buffering capacity work together to create a stable, nutrient-rich, and resilient soil environment that is highly conducive to healthy plant growth.
