A couple of the girls have got some leaf deformities but roots and growth are stable. My WW girls are doing the best. Outside temperature has dropped today and probably moving fwd. It will help keep from and rez cooler. 2 weeks Frome germination.

1/29/2024 - Day 29 - Week 1 Flower: She started showing preflower last week, but I'm calling this week 1 of flower. She is only 1 ft tall at the moment, which is much smaller than I'd like, so I'm hoping she will stretch over the next couple weeks. This is why I'm not a big fan of autos. I made one mistake with the heavy fouler feed, and my yield is going to be significantly impacted my that one mistake. It's my fault, but still frustrating.

Picture 1 - Day 8 - Seedling 1 got its nutrients the first time today. 1ml/L Biobizz Grow about 700ml. Picture 2 - Day 8 - Seedling 2.1 still stretching a bit too much, am waiting for the new light to arrive. Picture 3 - Finally got the new setup, the grow tent isnt perfect yet but itll do for the next few weeks (its just an old temporary closet) it leaks a lot of light and moisture but since I only have these 2 mini plants rn I dont think its gonna be a huge problem until flowering. Picture 4 - Day 9 - Seedling 1 looking good and Seedling 2.1 (3 Days old) will hopefully stop stretching now that I finally got the bigger light here. Watered 2.1 again today with just ph water. Picture 5 - Day 10 - Nothing special happening, the plants are looking good! Picture 6 - Day 11 - I now installed a fan in the grow area to better the ventilation. The fan is doing a great job at moving air around, but kinda messing up the moisture coming out of the humidifier... (With fan and humidifier on at same time = 40% with just humidifier running = 60-70%) Not sure how to fix that yet... Will water Seedling 1 again tomorrow. Picture 7 - Day 12 - Seedling 1 growing good but its leaves are still looking really weird, I think theyre going up on the edges because I put them under slight wind stress, but that issue is fixed now. Some parts of some of the leaves still look really odd to me, like they got cut off or something? I dont know Picture 8 - Day 12 - Seedling 2.1 is 6 days old now and growing good, theyre some tiny yellow dots on the leaves surface but its really slight so I dont know if its something bad. I watered both plants today, Seedling 1 with Bio Grow Nutrients and Seedling 2.1 with just Ph'd water. Video - Day 13 - Both seedlings still growing, but looking kinda sus.

The plants have stopped growing in height and the buds are really starting to thicken! The smell is starting to increase as well. Going great!

GORILLA MELON / 420FASTBUDS WEEK #12 OVERALL WEEK #2 FLOWER This week was another good week for this lady she doing her thing she's right about 2 feet tall 16 inches in width and she might be done stretching as she grown about 2 inches the last two weeks. this week was a lil challenging, had to get out of LST due to the fact that I broke a branch and that just tripped me off and I took off all my ties , apart from that i started giving her bloom products because I noticed a few hairs. I started applying tiresias mist to one of my branches so I can get pollen sacks to produce my own fem seeds, as I plan on crossing my fortune cookies autoflower with my ak48 autoflower and creating a new strain called "DRAKO" AUTOFLOWER well till next update . O.G. Bang Bang !! out.....

Day 57 - plant 1 still going great, stretch over, building bud mass. Plant 2 also doing well, looks about a week behind #1, and the leaf discoloration on upper fan leaves hasn’t abated. I’ll look into that more this week. Day 58 - drunken “deer gnaw” defoliation of the canopy fan leaves. Day 60 - Houston, we have a problem. Vent fan isn’t venting. Will have to research and/or swap out. Humidity through the roof. Bad timing! Day 61 - fixed extraction fan. Knocked tube off of inlet somehow 🙄

Day40 and two days from flipping to flower, she has grown to the size of her pot and I don’t want her getting root bound. So this week I have been working on her to prepare her for the flip. At the start of the week I got rid of any undergrowth. Any branch that never made it to the canopy is now in a coco cube. Any leaf I didn’t want is now part of the mulch layer. And I have been threading through the screen net to get a nice even top. Above this top I’ve turn on the second light, still at 50% but raise to 45cm above top of canopy. And light hours was drop to 16 hrs on Fungus gnats are lowering as I’ve scraped back the top of the soil layer and top dressed. I’ve also added a fan under the canopy. Totaling three fans All that left to do for now is top dress with bloom nutes, flip the lights again and turn up my extractor. See you on the other side list get it 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

Looking good. Flowering way faster than my 3 other plants. Guess that's why they're called 420 fastbuds! Lol. Day 55. Strong scent of sweet dough and berries. Absolutely lovely.

After checking the grow yesterday (2021-01-01), I noticed some of the yellowing I've seen in previous grows that served as early warning signs for an impending grow failure. I checked my reservoir and found it was down to about two gallons left and the pH had shot up to 7.1. I then checked my AutoPot runoff in the tray and found it was at 7.2. I then took my Remedy CBD out and flushed it with 10 gallons of pH 5.8 tap water until the runoff measured about pH 5.8. The plant has been returned to the tray and the pictures you see this week are the following day and I'm continuing to measure at the tray more closely now as well. I've continued to pull off some of the larger yellowing fan leaves but, other than that, I've kept this grow as simple as possible. The flowering stage is continuing as expected and the pictures show about how far along we've come.

The increased CO2 allows plants to thrive at higher temperatures, which in turn necessitates higher humidity to maintain the ideal VPD for healthy growth and transpiration. 80F -5F = 75F LST with 70% RH = 0.72 kPa. Higher temperatures and humidity promote rapid growth, nutrient uptake, and photosynthesis while maintaining a lower stress level. Temperature influences the rate of enzymatic reactions involved in aerobic respiration. Enzymes, such as those involved in glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and the electron transport chain, work most efficiently at an optimal temperature range. In low temperatures, enzymatic activity will slow down, thus reducing the rate of aerobic respiration. In high temperatures, enzymes can become denatured, thus impairing their function and stopping the process of aerobic respiration. Glucose is the primary fuel for aerobic respiration. The rate of aerobic respiration increases with the availability of glucose, as it is the starting point for glycolysis. If glucose levels are low, cells may rely on alternative energy sources such as fatty acids or amino acids , but these processes may yield less ATP or be less efficient. To determine this effect, carbon dioxide volume was measured (as carbon dioxide is an output of aerobic respiration) A seed germinated via skotomorphogenesis (in the dark) will generally develop faster in its initial stages to reach light, though it will be etiolated (elongated and weak) and will switch to slower, more robust photomorphogenesis (light development) once it emerges into light. While skotomorphogenesis is a rapid, growth-oriented process for soil escape, it's a temporary phase; photomorphogenesis is a more sustainable development program that prepares the seedling for photosynthesis. 18/6 with the 6 being IR instead of darkness, keeping temps overnight a neat 77F-80F. PPFD overnight 1.8. Think of my tent as a lung. What goes in must come out. When the rate of air going out exceeds the amount of air coming in, it creates a negative pressure. Tent concaves (bends in). If set up correctly, your RH will begin to drop slowly to the desired level you set, and the extraction turns off when it reaches 50% RH. The plant, as it performs cellular respiration, will always be releasing more water into the air, so the RH% of the tent overnight will always increase, so long as oxidative phosphorylation is occurring. As soon as the RH% creeps back up to 55%, the extraction turns back on, over and over, this creates a strong pressure differential which will work wonders on your grow. replicating high and low pressure fronts in nature, critical for oxygen diffusion, but more importantly, full control of your RH%. Moisture will not transfer from a saturated atmosphere to another if that air is already at or above its saturation point, meaning the air can't hold any more water vapor. Once I understood that water is produced as a by product during cellular respiration, specifically at the very end of the electron transport chain (ETC) where electrons are finally transferred to molecular oxygen, the higher the RH of the air, the more resistance there is for more moisture to be added to that environment, and effects the ease with which it does so. But none of that water comes from the pot; it's pulled from the air. If you run high daytime RH, your medium/pot is 100% reliant on transpirational root pull to move water. ZERO evaporation happens across the atmosphere if the tent air has high RH%, the medium cannot release its water through evaporation. Once a canopy develops, light no longer slowly wicks and evaporates from the topsoil. The Soil-Plant-Atmosphere Continuum (SPAC) describes the continuous pathway and process of water movement, driven by a gradient in water potential, from the soil, through the plant's roots, stem, and leaves, and finally evaporating into the atmosphere through transpiration. There is evaporation, there is transpiration, then there is evapotranspiration; Evapotranspiration (ET) is the combined total of two processes: evaporation (water lost directly from soil and surface water into the atmosphere) and transpiration (water released from plants to the atmosphere through their leaves). Evapotranspiration represents the total amount of water that moves from the medium into the air. There is no such thing as a medium with too much water, only a medium that retains too much for too long. The water must always flow efficiently from one atmosphere(Medium) to another(Air) in a timely manner. Moisture is a critical factor for bacterial growth and decay. Dictating how long it's allowed to sit in any one location for any given period is a key preferred control. To ensure a net reduction in a bacterial population, the rate of removal (ET) must exceed the rate of bacterial growth (decay rate), which is often modeled as a growth rate for the specific bacterium under the given conditions. By optimizing daytime VPD, we also optimize conditions for bacterial growth to explode exponentially above 77°F.. If water is allowed to sit in a medium without an escape within a timeframe, nothing good will happen. IF High RH is maintained overnight as well as during the day, placing 100% of water movement at the behest of daytime transpiration, roots can only pull where they can reach, and if soil is compressed above a certain point, moisture will become trapped in a medium with no way of moving day or night. This will begin the countdown for decay to take hold. When water stagnates in a medium, it loses oxygen, creating anaerobic conditions that foster the growth of harmful microorganisms like bacteria and fungi, which can produce toxins and disease vectors. Thigmomorphogenesis, the process by which plants respond to mechanical stimuli like touch by altering their growth and development, resulting in significant morphological changes to improve survival against mechanical perturbations. This complex response involves sensing touch and initiating physiological and genetic responses, leading to changes in form and structure over days or weeks. The process is triggered by physical forces such as wind, rain, or touch. Plants adapt to these stimuli by changing their shape and structure, which may include slower growth, thickened stems, or altered leaf development. Plants possess sophisticated mechanisms to detect even subtle mechanical stimuli and initiate responses. A variety of molecules, including calcium ions, jasmonates, ethylene, and nitric oxide, are involved in signaling these mechanical inputs. Touch can induce the expression of genes that encode proteins for calcium sensing, cell wall modification, and defense mechanisms. A plant exposed to constant wind may become shorter and sturdier. A plant that is touched frequently might grow slower to conserve energy and develop thicker cell walls. These changes increase a plant's resilience and ability to survive in harsh environments. Auto Maxi Gom is doing really well. I started adding the master bloom from Xpert Nutrients to the diet a few days ago. I did trim up her lower side a little more. She has stretched a few more inches since last update. Her colas are starting to develop, and looks like she will start bulking very soon. Nothing more to report at this time. This week was very hot. They stressed a lot some heat stress and some fan stress that came up to uptake look down. The weedding cake was that must sofer. Shr was still recovering from that led issue...and she gets direct sun light in the hottest hour. Black cream in the other hand sofer a lot with fan stress bleaching the leafs in direct contact. Couskush its a beautifull lady and growing nice. Bomberry is late but showing some promissing buds. Chears BrotherHood

Flowering Day 22 - They still growing very fast, the routine now is watering 3 times a week (2 with nutrients), on this week I add Azomite on soil, but they becoming thirst very fast. F Day 26 - Down leaves are becoming yellow very fast, I think Cinderella99 (the left one) Its more hungry. Water routine it is - 4 times a week, 3 with nutrientes (EC 1150), 1 only water, both pH 6.4 😁
