7/27/2023- Prep Tent and system are cleaned and ready to go from my last grow. I have submitted my Journa for the Diary of the Month Competition here is to hopeing for good resutls. 7/28/2023- Germination Day 0- Seed initiation Well lets get this new Grow started.. So My Dad Sent me a custom Strain that he wanted me to grow out and Breed for him. The Strain is Called Red Rhino: Red Rhino is an amazing strain coming from Israel and boasts a 60% Sativa and a 40% Indica. This strian comes from crossing double gum and master kush. Effects are an increased appetite, as well as giving you ephoric feelings throughout the whole day. RO Water Used Added Hydrogen Peroxided 8/1/2023- Germination Achieved G-Day 1 Popped her head above the root riot today to say hello.. Woot first challenge when dealing with an unknown seed and a new Strain is getting the seed to pop and the lady to show life. 8/2/2023- Germination Day 2 Took the root riot out today and it was soaked not good plant drowing again. I am still having a hard time finding the right blance for where the water should be to keep the root riot moist and not soaked. I had to drain some of the water out of the root riot plug to help give a little oxygen. I also removed some of the water. 8/3/2023- Germination Day 3 Looking good stretching her leaves out to let in the lights 8/4/2023- Germination Day 4 Looking good a few days until I put them into the RDWC System and get this thing rocking and rolling. 8/5/2023- Germinaiton Day 5 Looking good will probably plant tomorrow if the roots are still looking good. 8/6/2023- Plant Day- Germination Day 6 Planted into the RDWC System today. Joy when they go into the system as long as we dial that in right this will now be a great grow.. Survived the hard part.. 8/7/2023- Germination Day 7 Fell over today I am worried.., she is showing some damage on the lower leaves from the over watering in the cloning machine but right now I don't see any new damage. Supported the Stems with little improvised pole to help her stand up. 8/8/2023- Germination Day 8 Added the first Nutes today, to help support root growth and to help give there first jump to growth. TPS SILICA GOLD-.5mil/Gal Root Drip- 1mil/Gal GH FLoraMicro-1mil/Gal GH FlroaGro-1mil/Gal GH FLroaBloom-1Mil/Gal ORCA-.5mil/Gal 8/9/2023 - Germination Day 9 Everything is looking good new growth looks like it is praying and they are looking happy. I will take off the damage leaves probably tomorrow. 8/10/2023- Germination Day 10 Everything is looking good looks like she is recoving well, with just a little bit of a delay. Cleaned up the dead leaves... Day 1 VEG tomorrow.. Water Change Day and first real meal...

White widow auto only gave about 25g but basically all of perfect nugs. Anti auto people could be converted from her, I contend. Big blast of berry taste, giggly, lifted effects. Very frosty, plump nugs. Special Queen yiekded easily 3 and a half ounces and her look is great. So far the tsste isnt what white widow is, might lift with curing. Using grove bags.

I am still adding 1 l but there is no run off on all of them. Now I do nutrients -water-nutrients, but the doses vary as well. 600 WATT LED HAS BEEN ADDED. ITS 281 diods,but still decent addition

Defoliated a little more. Had a heat stress issue during the week, should be all better now. Nice to see the branches starting to tip in the last few weeks.

Did some more defoliation but keeping her going as she's wrapping up the stretch. Really starting to flower now, which took way longer than I expected. She's a late bloomer for sure, not the best for growing outdoors, this was a test seed though so I just kept her going. Amsterdam Genetics doesn't recommend this one for growing outdoors btw.

Hello there. Got a powerful strain from Super Sativa Seed Club for their ongoing contest. It's honor to be one of the participants. Thanks a lot to the SSSC team. Will be growing it in 20 l hydroponics, with some GHE nutrients. Also have some new amazing led light: TS 1000 from Mars Hydro.

It was very easy to grow this plant, she did everything by herself. The results are amazing, the taste is absolutely stunning and one joint is enough to be stoned for the rest of the day.

End of Week 13 (6 week of flower) Cruise control on! Trying to make sure the environment is 100% in check, and I made a very light compost tea with some molasses and worm castings and a little bit of bone meal just to give them a calcium boost and some extra sugars so they can flourish into their final couple of weeks of flower. I have been keeping a cooler average temperature - and also keeping the relative humidity lower. Pest Report: None

Chopped on day 78, trichomes were fully milky and beginning to turn amber on the calyxes. I was looking for more of a sativa feel, so I decided to pull her today! She stinks like gas, sour candy, and hints of spice and kush. She started out super strong but began having calcium, nitrogen, and phosphorous issues throughout flower. Fortunately she turned out healthy in the end and pushed out a lot of resin. Decided to go with a Lotus Cure on this round since my last round got dried too quickly and lost a lot of terpenes. Buds were chopped down, green leaves without trichomes removed, and straight into jars and into the mini-fridge at 55-62% RH and 40F.

Start of Week 5 Over the last couple of days the smell went from a slight hint before entering the space to a pungent smell that just wofts from the plants. I've never grown a full screen before and never noticed how much these smell. It is possible it could be the Granddaddy Purple but my guess from the good bag smell on this strain, that it's the critical smell. I have two sections of plants growing from the same feeding resivour. For the first time ever I've decided to do a mid grow flush. I ran through 1-2gal of water on each 5 gal bucket. I use only perlite as medium so I figured that I wouldn't need much to flush. It all drained back to the main resivour and I disposed of it. I ran a 24hr cycle of straight PHed tallboy filtered tap water (160ppm) and then drained that again (340ppm). I refilled the resivour with fresh nutes and PHed again (1100ppm)

Good germination left me with a strong seedling! Will start adding Xtra Roots after the first pair of true leaves develop. on the plant. I am very satisfied for now! 😀

So I did a light defoliation, with a little bit of lollipopping and this girl did not slow down one bit... She is stretching nicely and the inner nodel spacing looks good to me... She's a very healthy, happy plant. And she has a good size to her, so pretty impressed with these dots.. End of Week 9 of Flower. I can just taste those buds now! The smell is intoxicating and the view is picturesque. There is definitely a noticeable difference between the two pheno's but I suspect both will pack a good punch. There has been some purpling in some of the top leaves which I expect will increase with the drop in temperature the last week or so. I cant wait to get some good pictures at the end of the week as Ive decided the chop day will be this coming Sunday. The clash of yellow, purple and green is always my favourite so I plan to capture as much as possible since the next update will be jam packed with pictures of the girls just before their chop and after 48 hours of darkness to get the last of that resin production from the plant. I will also take some pics of the hanging plants in the drying cupboard. The reason I am leaving my plants in darkness for 48 hours before they get chopped, is that it has been long belived that this practice will increase the last of the thrichome production and some say increases potency. There has been a recent study in the Netherlands which does confirm increased resin production for plants left in 48 hours of darkness (they also tested 24 hours darkness but found 48 was better) at the end of their flower cycle. The chop has been planned to be pretty straight forward where I will just be taking off the main fan leaves and leaves with no thrichomes as well as chopping off the larfy/popcorn buds which will go straight in the freezer for a fresh frozen bubble hash run. I dont bud wash my flower as my tent gets a regular clean each week and always gets a full deep clean when every harvest is over and besides, its only me and my friends that smoke it! The drying cupboard I use for drying is a small cupboard designed for storing and drying clothes which I have put a carbon filter and fan as well as a small desk fan to circulate the air as well as a small dehumidifier just incase there is an increase in humidity. So the basics of drying is that you want the area where you are drying to be dark and fairly cool (its recommended to be between 15 and 22 degrees C), have a humidity level between 45% and 55%. I aim for around 21 degrees C temperature and 50% humidity. The drying time can vary depending on strain but its recommended to dry the buds for 7 - 10 days and I will explain further about how to tell if your bud is done drying and is ready to be cured on the next post. Drying is very important as you can affect all your hard work if the conditions arent right and the bud ends up too dry (luckily these days there are ways to fix bud thats too dry) or you end up with mouldy ganja which isnt save to smoke. Its also believed that a good long dry in good conditions helps increase potency and also has been shown to reduce anxiety.
