Finally chopped the remaining two plants from my first grow! These two were serious monsters, I’ve never grown before but I’m pretty sure these were significantly larger than most autos so if you’re looking for some beasts, I would recommend i49. and these had significantly larger buds than the one I harvested earlier. Have begun drying at 57-60 rh. Will update with more photos once drying is complete. Update #1 - 3 days into curing This time around I successfully prolonged the drying process to 2 weeks in 60% RH. After sampling some while trimming it before cure, I can already see a major improvement in smoothness and taste, along with overall scent when compared to the plant I harvested earlier. The high is better as well, although still not fully my desired heavy high. I was able to prolong the life of these for a while, but I still believe they were still a bit too immature to be harvested, with only around 5% amber trichomes. I would have preferred to get to around 30-40% as i love a true couch lock. All in all, very happy with a huge harvest, was not expecting to get this much bud. Will probably be running the couple ounces of popcorn I have over the sift and pressing the hash into rosin, and smoking the couple ounces of flower I have in joints and bowls.

Reviews. Lamp
Good for veg, too low red light for flowering
Can’t beat it for the price
Reviews. Tent
Solid tent. Little to no light leakage, zippers holding strong. Can’t beat the value.

So happy with the result of these gals. Harvested at around 15-20% amber on the tops of the colas, will be pressing the lower buds and trim with less amber into rosin :) They really grew into massive hulking monsters with colas the size of my forearm :0 I am so impressed and proud to call this my first ever grow. I learned so much and I am so hyped to put all this knowledge into the next grow.

I am running the Viparspectra 450w LED as my light for 4 autos in a 2x4 space. I am worried this isn’t enough, especially because of its lower levels of red. Should I upgrade to something stronger like a Mars hydro 600 or 1000 before flowering start?Or if not Mars something else?

Wattage or power consumption is a bullshit figure that has no relevance to anything other the a lamps efficency. What you need to chexk is the light is giving full spectrum that you require and that has enough usable PPF to cover your grow area. The watts are only how much power is consumed to acheive this. Dont get suckered into the Watts game It matters not as long as the panel produces the required photons. The wattage just shows us the photon efficency. I am a live sound engineer and its the same in my trade. Some fool comes along and says "awww mate that sub is so loud how many watts is that?" well that does not matter what matters is the sound pressure being created by the given power consumption. This is called efficeny and wattage is a reflection of that.

Is it possible for me to take down the walls of my tent and leave the frame with the lights on it to let the plants get more space? I don’t have a way to ventilate the entire closet from an external source, just been ventilating the tent w/ an exhaust fan and carbon filter

Well ya of course. But you are defeating it's purpose. Any bugs and pest that follow you inside any given day will have an easier path to your plants... However winter is coming. But that's really your only downside. Tent ecosystem is easier to maintain than the house

I’m roughly in between weeks 2-3 of flowering and was wondering if I can still high stress train at this point? Some of the tallest branches are within 6 inches of the light and I expect them to gain a few more inches even. Light is also at max height.

Hey, Personally, I wouldnt stress the plant that much at this stage. Maybe try some stem pinching. I believe the stress would significantly affect bud production. Hope this helps,

I underestimated how tall my autos would get in my tent and some colas ended up getting less than an inch from my lights. Most colas were fine but 2 seem to have mutated in some way. Calyxs grew way more leaves and pistils per each individual calyx. Is this a major problem?

When you see the top leaves looking like a canoe this means either to much light or to hot. Usually to hot, from being to close to the light. Cheers
