Week 4 of flower and the boys have finally spilled the pollen. It’s bloody everywhere in there so I expect that no bud has gone undefiled😎. The females have all witnessed a pretty significant nitro deficiency now that they’re trying to produce seed instead of flowers. We changed out the nute mix to 1/3 grow and 2/3 bloom and they immediately showed improvement. No slight against Druid at all - we moved to a different brand simply to conserve it for the flowering runs where it really matters👍. The lone separated spicy bitch female that entered flower early is looking really sexy. I very much doubt she’ll have escaped full pollination with this much in the air however. We won’t use any seed from this girl but if we’re lucky we might be able to pull out some sample bud. We’re taking down all the males today now that their job is done and we’ve also decided to harvest from the one specific cum dumpster male that has shown as the most vigorous. Doubt we’ll get around to using it before it’s shelf life expires but u never know. The details on that will be in the harvest entry coming up. Other than that - we’re through the fornication stage and it’s all just keeping the ladies alive until it’s time to extract some seeds👍😎👍. Still workn on the potential cross names - that’s the best part😉. Until next week🤟👊. Background Fingers crossed that these Spicy Bitch regs provide at least one male so that we can back build some stock of it. In the event that does take place we’ve got a single clone of each strain from the previous pollen chuck to sit in the tent with them so they can make babies for the next few months. The whole point of the last year was to start making some foundational genetics for a third generational cross we could call our own. If you’ve been following along than you’ll know that it’s been anything but easy. Our previous pollen picks didn’t pan out at all so we’re back to the drawing board with a new option from ExoticSeeds. This’ll be a 10 plant run with 5 regs and 6 strains for pollination including the strain itself. We’re running in a 2x4 MarsHydro grow tent all powered by a Mars Sp6500. That’s a little more than 600w packed into half the recommended footprint😳. Why? you ask - because we like our buds big and overcompensatory😂. Really, I’m just of the mind that we can pack more light into this space than recommended and get much better results. The math doesn’t lie. At least not as long as I wasn’t high when using the calculator again….. Many thanks to @MarsHydroLED for the opportunity to test run the equipment👊. In addition, we’ve also moved to a new nutrient system - Druid Nutrients out of the Netherlands. They don’t really have a presence on GD yet but you’ll be hearing about them very soon I’m sure. The beauty of this system is that it’s literally a 1 (one) component system for the entirety of the plants grow cycle. It really has changed the game in terms of ease of feeding and maintenance. It’s also very versatile and seems to provide everything needed across multiple different strains in the same ratios. Keep your eyes peeled for these folks. Pretty much a guarantee that they absolutely blow up once more people know about them👍👌😎. Strain Background Spicy Bitch: predominantly sativa, heavy yielder with a daytime kinda trip profile. It’s a cross of Queen Mother and a Pre-2000 AK47. We’ll pull what pollen we can and hope to have a female run out a larger supply of seed for the future. Many thanks to @Exoticseeds for the chance to give these beans a go👍👊. Pollination Strains: Holy Surfer S1 - this is one of the focal points for this cycle. A fellow growmie was kind enough to ship over some S1 genetics I took an interest in. The only ask back was that if I did cross it to send a few his way for testing👍. Shoutout and cheers to @blendmedmedman. Hoping to have something back to ya in short order. It’s a compact and squat plant requiring very little maintenance. Typical for the strain really. It’s been chosen as an option to potentially mellow out the high , shorten the stature of the resulting hybrid and inject it with some of that mellow indica effect. Boogie Nights - total shot in the dark. Still haven’t even tried the strain myself yet but it was available at the right time and interesting enough to make a salad with. Big thanks to AMS who’ve been nothing short of an excellent seedbank to collaborate with. Expect similar growth characteristics to that of the Northern Lights. Better resilience however. Blueberry - this particular clone is from extremely strong stock. Spliff seeds broke the mold with this strain. She’s lower maintenance than the NL, more resilient than anything else we’ve got on the menu and the terp. Profile on this girl is out of this world. If we can bring any of these qualities to the cross, then it could be magic👌. White Widow - garrghh, I just can’t get away from this particular plant. Again, still haven’t even tested the buds yet and all I can say is that the growth characteristics are extremely vigorous and desirable. This plant is one of 3 unicorns that I have yet to tame due to a combo of extremely bad luck and circumstance. All told, it’s still the same story: a VERY experimental breeding project designed to shotgun a broad swath of genetics against a reliable and dependable Breeder who’s put out proven fire 🔥🤟😎👍.

Day 50, 29.05.2024 - Starting the week at 43cm height - No action today but to render timelapse for last week & watch them bloom. Day 51, 30.05.2024 - 600ml with nutrition (1ml grow, 3ml bloom, 4ml TopMax) for each as breakfast shortly after the lights turned on - removed 4 more leaves there were yellow. I think it has to do with the recent cut down on nutritions. This is why I will get back to the recommended fertilizer schedule in 48h with the next feeding. Day 52, 31.05.2024 No action today. Day 53, 01.06.2024 A round of drinks (600ml each) and food (4/4/4ml of grow, bloom & TopMax). Day 54, 01.06.2024 No action today. Day 55, 03.06.2024 - I am observing some more leafs getting yellow. I guess the plant is recovering N from the lower leaves to feed the buds. - Later today they will get their next feeding (600ml each, - again with 4/4/4ml of Grow, Bloom & TopMax) Day 56, 04.06.2024 "No action today" concludes week 8. All in all until today the grow is quite easy. No big issues. I just hope the yellowing of leafs will stop / revert after resuming to the standard nutrition schedule. So, I guess there are 3 weeks to go before harvest - let's keep em dry!

Day 70 of flower, the leaves are starting to fade thanks to the flush. If some Amber trichomes shows up i Will chop next week at day 77, by now the trichomes are almost all cloudy. The smell Is citrus-like and very strong. Dulcis in fundu i expect an heavy yield by the cookies looking at those buds.

week intel: its time to harvest top buds! because my base nutrients and one of boosters was salt based, i'll do flushing this week to get some relieve to plants in the last days stresses : flushing Drought stress via watering only one time with flushing this week feeding: day 1 : i flushed them with Advanced Nutrients Flawless finish and adjusted ph day 3 : no more feeding from now on day 5 : no more feeding from now on guide of the week : i harvest in 2 parts : first i harvest top of the branches and will let the lower buds to ripe another week then ill harvest the second wave. its crucial to get uniformed buds in terms of quality that you let the lower buds to get some extra air and especially light! then the pop corn buds quality will reach the top buds. my dry and cure style is this: 3 days of hanging upside down to get water activity lower to around 0.6 in 50% humidity and 26 C temp (i know its a little high but we are in a hot summer right now and i cant get it lower even with air conditioner) and then after 3 days of drying i remove leaves and stalks, trim buds and move them to jar for the rest of their life :D . and in the first 4 days of curing i open the jar door and let hem get some fresh air in the jar for about 5 minutes and close the jar door again, after 4 days of curing like that buds are smokable but they will get better as they getting cured about 1 month. im happy as hell with this harvest :D.

Day 28: I got home from 10 days of holidays and these girls had cruised along as if I had been there with them the whole time. They are very happy, especially the middle one. The small one on the right has always been small, is what it is. She could be a stack little shorty. Time will tell. I did a feed today, top dressed according to Gaia Green at 15 ml/ gal of media which should last approx 2 weeks. I also added a bit more 444 just to make sure there’s enough N during this stretch phase. All 3 have pistols showing and are starting to flower. I was unable to train as much as I’d have liked but is what it is. Sometimes the more indica strains I’ve done are negatively effected by topping and excess training. I removed a couple huge fans that were shading too much of the plant. I also am trying a “super cropping” of top fans to get them out of the way but still save them as a nute source if they need. We’ll see how it goes. The Vipar spectra xs2000 is killling it as usual. As I’ve said 50 times it’s super powerful and I’ve had to raise the light above recommended height as I started to see leaf edge curl and light stress. No problem at all tho, better too powerful and raise it than too weak and have loose buds. I did a micro top just to stop excessive apical meristem stretch and leaving all the other lower branches too low for effective light absorption or burn on the top cola. Happy Growing 🌱

Vamos familia, actualizamos la sexta semana de floración de estas Black Rainbow de Seedstockers, salieron las 3 de 3, 100% ratio éxito. Aplicamos varios productos de Agrobeta, que son increíbles para aportar una buena alimentación a las plantas. Temperatura y humedad dentro de los rangos correctos dentro de la etapa de floración. La tierra utilizada es al mix top crop, por cambiar. De 3 ejemplares seleccioné los 2 mejores para completar el indoor y trasplanté directamente a macetas de 7 litros, cambien el fotoperiodo a 12/12 y aplique una buena poda de ramas bajas, se ven bien sanas las plantas, tienen un buen color y progresan a muy buen ritmo por el momento, están cogiendo ya una tricomada seria. Another fast update! 😃 Hey guys! I hope everything is going well for everyone. This is the 2nd week of flower and I'm here again to share what happened last week! My babies now get thirsty really easy, nothing like how it used to be (and you can actually see them stressing over it in my photos) but gladly nothing that some water can't fix. The main colas are also starting to grow more and they are full of small developing flowers (they look super pretty! 😍) Some side stems are also outgrowing the main branches... and I'm kinda unsure what I want to do (or if I should do anything). Maybe LST or supercrop them? (I might screw things up by doing it in flower and I have never done it before 😭) I don't know. I also want to trim some leaves away since the foliage is very dense but I fear I might end stressing them! I will probably make a grow question to know what others think. I'm back on a normal nutrient schedule. I'm no longer "overfeeding" them and I water them 4 times a week (but with little water). Next week I'll try doing 3 but with more water and see if they like it more that way. So far I love how the plants are developing! The small flowers look great and they look bigger everyday! 😃 Thanks everyone! See you all next week! 👋

Day 29: Beginning of week Problem: there are some flies in grow room and treatment will start from today to discover what they are and how to get rid of them. we will let soil on top get dry and hang a few yellow stick to catch them. Light will be changed to 600W next week. I caught one of bugs and I guess it's a fungus gnat. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Day 30: Fungus Gnats Update: there were no more adult one and plants are looking better. CCA1,CCA2,CCB1 had their Nutrient feed in big pot after transplanting stress with 6.3 PH and 1.2 EC. CCA1 had 2L Nutrients mixed with water with 100 ml Run off (7.3PH and 7.5EC). CCA2 had 2L Nutrients mixed with water with 100 ml Run off (7.8PH and 6.4EC). CCB1 had 2L Nutrients mixed with water with 250 ml Run off (7.6PH and 5.9EC). CCB2 had a dry day CCC1 had dry day so fungus gnats wont attack this pretty lady. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Day 31 All the plants were fed with Sensi Cal-Mag Xtra foliar feeding. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Day 32: Fungus Gnats Update: I made Cinnamon mixed with hot water, after 24 h this mixture been sprayed everywhere. CCA1 and CCA2 had a dry and normal day. CCB1 Had some defoliation CCB2 and CCC1 had their Nutrient feed (6.3PH and 1.7EC) CCB2 had only 1L CCC1 had 2.5 L Nutrients mixed with water with 150 ml Run off (8.0PH and 7.3EC). CCC1 had her last veg fed and she had more LST and Defoliation. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Day 33: it was a dry day for all the ladies. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Day 34: Dry tea had been mixed with top of the soil in pot. CCA1,CCA2,CCB1 had 2.5 L water each with 6.0PH and 0.4 EC CCC1 And CCB2 Had dry day ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Day 35: Last day of Veg weeks Fungus Gnats Update: there is one or two not more. i think i am close to defeat them. It was a dry day for CCA1,CCA2,CCB1 but some LST were performed on them. CCB1 had 1L of water with 6.1PH and 0.4 EC. CCC1 had more defoliation and LST. we wont perform any training on her for next week so she can get a full recovery with good flowering nutrients. CCC1 had 3.5L of water(6.1PH and 0.4 EC) with a 500ml Run off(9.3PH and 6.1 EC). I gave her more water so she can give more run off before starting flowering nutrients on her.
