#WEEK21 - HODL Bad news. It's not time yet. still. i think. 😔 And scratch that, i am not harvesting early because of some theoretical schedule / information on the internet. But.. WHAT WOULD YOU DO? 😱 Well, trichomes haven't changed a bit again, at least to my perception. Only the top most buds of SMC show a few amber ones, although the plant feels a bit "crunchy" and matured now. Therefore a lot of the lower buds grew fresh calyxes, and a few upper ones, too. Someone was right around here, probably should have removed a few more of the lower buds after stretch. But there's also a good cop: i found out my phone can take rather decent macro shots (though resizing of growdiaries doesnt seem to work well, will put a bit more effort in in the upcoming entry). It's on the edge even to check the color of trichomes. And holy moly, SMC is so photogenic, like big "ooof" 😍. Lively colors all around, frost like a tree on christmas (can you please tell me what to do, when leaves are 100% covered in trichomes, shouldnt be this A+ material was well?). Skywalker on the other hand is the "shy one", however i am sure is going to shine soon. Also very lovely coloration on top buds. And the smell starts to mature as well: Skywalker super fresh lemony, SMC sweet-fruitiness with a touch of coolness - tempting! Forgot CalMag this week. Shouldnt matter at all that close to the end. In fact the tips of some leaves started to turn a bit rusty. Cant believe it has been 10/11 weeks of flowering so far, going to need a break after this run for sure. 😜

I found them and i think i staked them back to health in time, no noticeable damage, more blindsided while realizing the volume and coming to grips with the next step. the reality of the bounty of my garden is dawning on me, and i am a bit intimidated. by the dry, as i am in low RH. by the cure, as i have never done one before. by killing my girls, as they are lovely to ease my anxiety, i ordered 20 hydrometers and increased my jar count from 36 quart jars by adding a dozen 1/2 gallon jars. it is obvious some of the buds need bigger jars to stay intact during the cure. i skipped the boveda packs for now. they are amazon prime away in an emergency, but i figure my attentiveness will be enough, at least this first grow; plenty of people did it right before me without the boveda packs, and when i can pay less per hydrometer than boveda pack... it becomes an interesting decision. i choose old school... for now (mind subject to change) end game is WAY more intimidating than dropping that seed into that cup of water. no one told me it would be this stressful! i hope i do them well during this next phase and these next few weeks. they certainly appear to have done me well 9/7/17 I have a confession to make. When I thought the plants got stunted by the heat, I considered pulling the plants and starting over. Boy an I glad that I didn't. I didn't know what I didn't know. What stopped me was reading a forum post somewhere and a guy was frustrated with his grow and was thinking of pulling it (i think he only had 1 plant). Someone responded to him with very prolific questions. "And then what? Plant another and make the same mistake again? Why don't you finish her out so on your next grow you know better what not to do?" Bingo. He wasn't even talking to me, but he was speaking directly at my situation (or so I thought). I decided to finish them, even if they were stunted dwarfs (SPOILER ALERT: They aren't, I was wrong, they were anything BUT stunted) I am really glad I found that advice because who knows if I would have went through with it if this gentleman hadn't given me a moment of clarity. So if you are frustrated by your first grow, I would advise to finish the grow no matter what (unless, obviously, its a male or moldy or something that DEMANDS the plant be culled) and learn what to do better for next time. I thought mine were gonna be bonzai plants. Not even considering the money wasted and the time wasted, I would have missed out on what the plants have taught me and a tent full of superstars. Now, as I am approaching the end, I need some advice. Aside from trics, is there any other way to determine approx how long left in the grow? I need to change my nutes to end stage stuff (adding dry koolbloom, phasing out unneeded nutes, and finally the flush. ) I am super worried about getting the timing right. Besides trics, are there any other clear signals that we are rounding the corner to the final stretch? Thanks in advance. Also, I live in a dry environment. A desert, actually. For real. It seems like dry trimming will be very important for me if I do not want it to smell like alfalfa after the cure. Any thoughts on dry trimming? I know it is more work, but the results seem better. My plan, so far, is to hang the entire plant upside down in 1 piece to dry. The only question is, how many of the large fan leaves to leave on. Some leave all, some leave only the small ones in the buds. Any thoughts will help me decide along with my other research. Thanks!

The Apple Betty babies are doing great 😊 I’m very pleased with the results so far, I just wished I would have known they would have such a large stretch, they D almost doubled in size in 14 days. At day 8 I stopped tucking the branches and allowed them to grow up. In hindsight, I probably should have kept going for another couple of days. They continued to stretch rapidly all the way up to date 12 or so, much more than my other strain that I have going as well. At day 10 I cleaned up some of the small bud sites and leaves that were below the 1st trellis. These sites do not get enough light to make anything good, and take away energy from the main tops as they grow and compete. A quick snip here and there will really help the end result. At day 13 I decided to add a second trellis net to provide support to the tops that came up so fast. They seem to have stopped their main stretch faze, and are looking happy and healthy now. I’ve continued my water, water, feed schedule and have not seen any cause for concern. The girls are taking a little over a gallon of water every 72 hours at this point. Humidity is being controlled automatically with my in-line fan and humidifier. RH is set to 57% and temps hover between 77-80 degrees with lights on, and about 70-72 with light off thanks to my furnace being back on for the cooler temps. The 2x4 5 gallon girl is doing great as well. 😊During the stretch, she flourished just as the girls in my big tent did as well. She is going to have some great bud, the branch structure is nicely developed with tight node spacing and large tops. I’ve been plucking off all the lower growth, and tucking leaves as they block bud sites. I will be doing a defoliation next week. Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️

The plants are exploding in growth. Especially the gorilla cookies. I need to start doing a better job of watering my girls. I means its hard having to mix up all these nutrients at one time so I water my plants 2 at a time. I water 2 one day then the other 2 the next day. Im trying this method out cause it makes watering not so intense during dlower.

Dry Weight #2: 2.5 kg. #2: 2.5 kg. 13-8 Temps: 23.8 to 28.6 degrees Humidity: 57% to 70% 14-8 Temps: 25.1 to 29.8 degrees Humidity: 56% to 65% I found out that i had the timer on 16/8 instead of 18/6 for the entire 9 weeks. Maybe this is the reason why the plants dont grow that fast. 15-8 Temps: 24.8 to 29 degrees Humidity: 46% to 66% Watering: Both 1500 ml. Dry Weight: Both 2.5 kg. Today is the first watering from the bottom. Also removed some leaves. 16-8 Temps: 24 to 28.4 degrees Humidity: 49% to 68% 17-8 Temps: 20.4 to 26.3 degrees Humidity: 45% to 79% 18-8 Temps: 21 to 28.3 degrees Humidity: 40% to 59% Watering: Both 1500 ml. I was learning a lot just about water itself. Currently the method I use was inspired by an article I found on Canna Nutrient’s website: Rainwater + tap water to EC 0.2 (100ppm) Add CalMag to reach EC 0.4 (200ppm) Ph down (first diluted a small amount in water) Nutes Day 58: Increased the feed to 3/4 Day 59: Replaced the tap water to liquid silicon. Rainwater + Liquid silicon to EC 0.2 (100ppm) Add CalMag to reach EC 0.4 (200ppm) Ph down (first diluted a small amount in water) to ph 5.6

Una planta que dude mucho si crecería bien por un pequeño problema con el humificador, pero le sirvió para hacerse fuerte y al final ha sido la ganadora en peso de las 3. Recomiendo cultivarla por la fuerza que me ha demostrado tener ante el problema que tuvo de humedad, y unas temperaturas altas de 32 de máxima. Es además una planta que se ha cultivado muy fácilmente.

Hello everyone. The last week before harvest. . first time i've had a girl like this grow up. It's interesting, quite strong and tasty.

I move autos for new grow. to separate from photoperiods. because I am supplying 20h of light in the records, and the others came in on 12/12. We had some signs of deficiencies, which are being corrected with flowermind fertilizer and an extra 2L layer of soil per pot.

Really happy with the quality, only had three plants so yield was down on usual. The THC content was absolutely insane, two of the phenos had a zkittlez terpene and the other was more gelato leaning. This is my favourite strain of barneys to date👍

NOTE: Measuring light distance from top of net rather than top of plants for consistency. - Plant were developing nice broad leaves, but were refusing to grow any taller to push through the netting. So, I raised the light 3 inches and switched on both blue and red lights to allow them to stretch through, which did the trick! - Placed a lot of stress on the plants this week trimming and training them to grow throughout the ScrOG netting and removing lower branches that were not receiving as much light to allow the top leaves to get more nutrients. - NEGATIVE: switched off the grow lights to get natural color photos and forgot to turn them back on until several hours later! :-O My babies are too young to flower at this point. Hope they stay in vegetative state without any serious impact. Fingers crossed! - Been experimenting with clones from clippings. Last week didn't do to hot, but this time I got two nice long pieces and trimmed off the majority of leaves to give the roots a chance to develop without fighting over nutrients from the leaves. The trick this time was 1) sufficient size of clipping, 2) minimal leaves, 3) dipping the base in mycorrhizal fungi concentrate, and 3) placement near the humidifier to ensure leaves get sufficient moisture. Неделя прошла замечательно, от дефецита избавились точно, шишки набухают каждые 2-3 дня заметно для глаза) запах божественен, правда отдаёт свежей кожурой апельсина) осталось почти немножко) В конце видео есть с правого боку два клона с этой вдавы, но про них это другая история)

Very good week lots of growth shooting up and nice branch length an spacing . I've taken a few leaves but not many as the light is getting through OK I've been folding the fans down and that seems to be enough . It's starting to show flower but I'll keep it on the grow nutrients a few more days . Good genetics . I've been taking pics after lights out an if I wait to long it goes all floppy .

Poda apical tardía pero trabajando fuerte con LST para lograr la estructura de plantas que deseamos. Además para lograr esquejar la genética y poder mantener los fenos que nos gustan. Sumé a la carpa un feno de Zombie Bride que salió bueno y no queria perderlo. En el video se puede ver.
