I’m two weeks late on widow you guys I’m so sorry. Had a few complications but she’s growing like a champ now. I topped her last week wanted to give her some time To recover. She has these small spots on the bottom leaves so ima defoliate those to allow more airflow up top. Introduced some cal mag to her to keep her nice and green. Had a little bit of white fungus so I sprayed her with a milk water to keep it away also put a new fan in for airflow. Probably will let her veg for another two weeks then switch to flower

Alot going on in my personal life so im kinda ghosting this page, sorry! Hope you still like the diary:) Update: the strech is getting real! Au#1 will recieve a little curing method for her dried look: ill let her dry out just a bit and then give her just water for once. Should solve the issue, besides that: bloom madness as always (my grow guru told me that blooming phase is always a hassle)

First 7 days of the Strawberry Gorilla from Fastbuds. She was germination in glass of water than move to cotton and in 2 days it had more than an inch of root so i moved to her home 12 liters pot with biobizz,coco peat and perlite for the vegitation she will have the Marshydro Ts 600 in 80 x80 grow tent.

Her flowers are continuing to develop and are beginning to get a thick layer of trichomes on them! 8/12- Today, the daily watering routine continues at sunset with around 5g of well water from the hose. I also went into the canopy and removed a bunch of dead and/or completely yellowed leaves to keep the foliage clear of debris which can cause insect and fungal issues if allowed to get out of hand. 8/14- I am continuing to water the FastBuds GG4 Sherbet Fast Flower daily with 5-8 gallons of well water from the garden hose. Yesterday, I top dressed the FastBuds GG4 Sherbet FF with 3 cups of Gaia Green 2-8-4 Power Bloom which I watered in with well water from the hose. I then applied 1/2 gallon of a nutrient mix I made up in 2 1/2g of well water consisting of: 1/4 cup Neptune's Harvest Seaweed(kelp) plant food and 2 1/2 tsp. of Plantonics Amino Bliss. 8/16- We have rain in the forecast over the next three days. There were a couple of passing light rain showers today which didn't provide a lot of rain so I went ahead and watered the GG4 Sherbet FF with approximately 5g of well water just to make sure that she didn't get thirsty. There's a month in flower for this beautiful fast flowering cultivar from the experts at FastBuds and all I can say is WOW! I can't say enough positive things about this strain and will, for sure, be running it again! Getting there. Not as fat as I'd wish, but very terpy - all smell amazing. It's week 7.5 now. Probably gonna harvest Purple Majik in a week and the rest in about 10-14 days - they need some more time but are fading fast. Now they only get pH'd water.

Heavy defoliation reduced a lot of yield

This week continues with nice flowering with strong smell. One plant is light green, I don't know why. I also added on more light to my grow tent.

I was under watering quite a bit in an attempt to make sure I didn’t flush out the benes and nutrients of the super soil. Ironically, I might have killed all the benes. Lol. Either way, they’re getting about 1 gal every other day now. Growing strong. Looks like my super soil mix might have been a little hot for this one. Just did another spinosad treatment. I haven’t seen any more thrips in the greenhouse since the first treatment 10 or so days ago. Saw a leaf hopper in there though 😡

Stardog room it is looking pretty good and is thriving. Hopefully get the results we asking for. Aya room up to now is giving pretty impressive results and it looks like they like the enviroment even tho its not fully equiped. After adding the c4 neet to celan the insides a little bit more and see how it will react.

Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. I absolutely love to watch them grow! Especially that moment they hit their first growth spurt. I started with RO water that is remineralized for drinking purposes. The ppm is only 18! My tap is 156! So considering they don’t need much water, I’ve been stealing some of our drinking water. The RO water starts at pH of 7. After I add the nutrients, ppm of 249 @ pH of 5.8 while soil is still sweet @ pH of 7 I think my days are off as a new week begins on the last day of the previous week. I am going to leave that for consistency. 04/21 - Noticing some possible nutrient issues with the Fruity Pebbles for several days now. Going to see what she needs. Up front I’m thinking maybe just a super small amount of Amino Acids with a little Epsom Salt. Maybe she is struggling to access the nitrates from the neem cake. IF it’s a issues with nitrogen. We will see. Maybe she would benefit from some extra calcium?… Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Day 22 and I am noticing how these girls have been burning up a lot of potassium lately, dealing with the wind and sun 💨 ☀️, getting pushed around all day. I plant to top dress with some Kelp Meal pretty soon. Day 24 -> 4/22/22- a quote from the weather on today’s red flag warning and dust storm warning. “ HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility with damaging wind in excess of 60 mph. SOURCE...Satellite imagery. IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.” I’m keeping the girls inside today. Day 26, I was planning to check the runoff on some of these girls, especially the fruity pebbles, however I messed that up as I also top dressed WAY too much of the seaweed bliss. So I flushed with plain RO water at pH of 7 until there was only slight coloration in the runoff. I didn’t check the runoff as a lot has changed with all that flushing. So next watering/feeding I will make sure I check the runoff on multiple plants. So the seaweed bliss with its 17 on potassium, seems to be the most likely culprit for why there is a bronze-ish color on the inside of the new growth. Hopefully a foliar feed of Epsom salts can correct the problem. Inside tent, lights on LOW. Noticing similar pattern in all of them to a degree, most noticeable in the fruity pebbles.

Day 72: 600W LED, 18 hours on 6 hours off the same with ventilation. Ferilization is the same. Water intake also remains the same 200ml per day. Humidity approx 35 percent. Day 74: I just checked the trichomes OMG this is quick one it is done getting amber I need to harvest after tomorrow. So she wont get water today tomorrow and Friday is harvest.

papaya cookies has now completed her stretch. typical for papaya, she develops purple/pink pistils. such a beauty. hopefully the weather will stay good enough for her bulk.
