Aug 16: Tropicana Cookies FF is a really fast flowering plant. I’m getting excited for the flowering progress cuz it looks like it is going to be a big one. Very exciting and we’re still only at mid-August so the timing is very good for a strong finish in September without it dragging into October.

Cant seem to hurt these plants, did yet another heavy defoliation and they are doing great. Flowers seem to be growing faster than the blue frame I grew before this. So far so good, tks for stopping by and checking my grow out!!

Checked the fast bud Cherry Cola and gorilla cookies in paper towel and it had a nice tap root so it went in to the the Ocean from Fox farm with the center using a starter seed CoCo mix. So now we have two seed planted with tap roots in soil with clear solo cup over the top with some spritzes of water in the cup to keep the humidity up over the seed until they pop through the soil.

Whew, what a hot, humid and wet week. Although we had a major storm this week, Gorilla Cookies proved her strength to withstand:) This week I took the time to go to the Fast Buds website and read about the "plant appearance." FBA says Miss Gorilla Cookies will grow to a height of 150cm which is 59 inches. My Gorilla Cookies is 33 inches tall. So, I can boast about that, however, I can not boast about my Gorilla Cookies being "Stout and Bushy." I even looked on the FB website to see some pictures of other growers Gorilla Cookies and mine are tall and lean. BUT, my plant stems look very similar to the plant stems on FB website. I did stop using Miracle Grow and started giving my plant Advanced Nutrients!! I am hoping this will be good for bud growth. Fast Buds does boast Gorilla Cookies will be completed around 10 weeks and that I will " be amazed at the insane trichome production. Especially in the final weeks when she definitely packs on some weight and you see the buds getting white in resin and reeking of cookies and gas." I am excited to see what the next two weeks will produce. Miss Gorilla Cookies has definitely proven to be resilient because we have certainly had some tough weather to deal with and I gave my Gorilla Cookies Miracle Grow nutrients which I would never do again. Plants that are too far from an adequate light source will respond by accelerating stem growth in order to get closer to the lamp themselves. Especially when there are many other plants. A lack of lighting can easily cause overcrowding in a growing chamber, reducing the steady progression of your crop and the distance ratio between your bulbs and your plants. To address this problem, be sure to provide enough light to your plants to prevent stem growth. At the same time, you should not position your lights too close to your plants either since this would also result in an over-stretching of the stems and in some cases, the loss of your crop. In addition to the distance between the light source and the plant, the type of light you will use also affects the size of the stretching of your crop. The orange and red lights encourage stretching and result in thinner, larger stems. And conversely, blue light stimulates a growth of thicker stems and a smaller size. When a species is ready to enter the vegetative phase and undergo its most drastic stretching period, metal halide lamps can be used to deter far too long stems. THE HEAT Heat is another essential element that can determine the stretch size of your plants during vegetation. Temperatures above 27 degrees push the stems to lengthen more and more and will propel the potential of sativas to push as high as possible. Heat lamps that are positioned too close to plants create an intolerable environment that will grow large, soft plants that will potentially wobble until they fall and lose flowers in its fall. OTHER CAUSES OF STRETCHING There are multiple variables that can lead to the stretching of plants beyond what could normally be expected of the plant. Environmental stressors resulting from transplantation (when a plant passes from one pot to another) can cause the plant to return to shock. This will eventually trigger a reaction causing a stretch. Cannabis plants that are not grown in decent conditions or do not receive enough nutrients will respond in a variety of ways and this includes stretching. Crops that are not spaced far enough apart are likely to stretch to sting the light to other plants. Due to extreme proximity, the plants will fight among themselves to reach the light, forcing them to expand as much as possible throughout the crop. HOW TO CONTROL STRETCHING DURING FLOWERING Stretching during flowering, you guessed it, takes place when you move your plants from the vegetation stage to the flowering stage. This is a completely normal reaction, as your plants are preparing to bear the weight of their heads. Stretching of a plant at the beginning of flowering varies widely; some plants can double in height while others grow only a few centimetres. There are, however, two main variables that can give you at least an idea of how your plants are stretching during flowering, and how much. Here are these two variables: Variety: Genetics has the greatest impact on the size of your plant. In general, sativa varieties stretch more than indicas and tend to develop long, slender stems. Light: Some lights, such as HPS, are more likely to encourage stretching. In addition, great distances between your canopy and your lights will cause the plants to stretch as they try to get closer to the light source. Stretching during flowering usually lasts the first two weeks of the phase. To minimize stretching, keep your lights between 10 (for CFL) and 30 centimetres (for HID) of your canopy. Finally, choose indica varieties if you have a smaller growing space. HOW TO AVOID STRETCHING In many cases, you can expect your cannabis plants to stretch during the flowering phase. Keeping that in mind helps to make a plan in case your species ends up growing much more than you could have imagined. If the information is available, get information on the standard size of your species and compare it to the size of your growing space taking into account the necessary distances between the bulbs and the plants. TRAFFIC While outdoor crop operations benefit from natural air to naturally limit stretching, indoor crops must assume the maintenance of air circulation within a confined space. Basic ventilation is enough to help the cannabis stems strengthen and become thicker rather than too high. In this way, the plants continue to grow vigorously without reaching heights and at the same time, your tolerance ceiling. MANUAL INTERVENTION For growers who want to get their hands dirty, there are physical procedures that can be done to reduce stretching. Similar to the natural effect that the wind has on cannabis plants, manually bending the leaves and stems will cause tiny cracks in the plant's tissues that will cause the plant to focus on regenerating its wounds instead of its vertical growth. THE TOPPING Topping is a form of manual intervention on cannabis to influence its performance, shape or size. In essence, topping is a process in which a new node is cut, growing from the plant to reduce its size and create a "v"-shaped notch that will eventually form two heads. Topping may be an effective measure to combat stretching, but it is important not to do so when the flowering phase begins. In most cases, an abnormal stretch of cannabis plants will not completely destroy your crop. In fact, stretching can indeed help increase your performance. For growers with a growing operation large enough to contain tall plants, stretching can increase the total yield of a species with more vertical space for head formation. In both cases, stretching can easily be planned in advance and there are multiple solutions to help you with this problem which is all too common. May the force be with you 💪

Soo, I think I can start to call it the first week of flower. #2 definitely is showing a few white pistols, #1 is just starting her first set and I'm pretty sure #3 will shoot them out any day! Also seems that removing the lowest two side branches of #1 was a huge success! She basically is the same hight as the others BUT I LST her a bit to expose the smallest side branches out of the three to more light! Also, I put a little elevation for her, so they stay the same high. #3 is doing #3 things and continues to grow rapidly. Topping her was the right move I think. I'm quite new to autoflowers (I mean pretty much in general but I had one random regular seed run before this but that's it) so I hope, I didn't call it too early but I'm positive:) Also my new microscope and the Blumat drip irrigation system finally arrived. I heard it can be a bit tricky to get it running but once it runs, it should run like a charm. Very very excited for this since I'm planning on going living soil in the future, which should fit very well together. Before installing the system, I removed the first set of true leaves of #1 and buried the wounds in soil. I hope she will build roots there. With #2 I took scissors and scratched up the main stem and filled it up with soil. As well I hope for more root growth. #3 just got a little bit more soil without any extras because of the topping. After doing all that, I watered with the BioEnhancer. I took 0,5g/l and around 1,5l in total. Quite a lot of update for just one day haha. Flowerpower baby! Didn't really have the time for further updates besides pictures. I did defoliate all 3 a little bit and keep fine tuning the Blumat. I think it's working quite well so far. #3 has some little spots looking different but nothing major I feel. I'm more worried about #2. Her tips start to yellow up a little. I hope it's because she grew too fast into the lights and now where I pulled lights back up to 35cm, she will be fine again

Flush her at the beginning of the week and stop feeding she really faded out into a dark purple 😍

Going to stop giving her nutes. I think she’ll be ready in 2 weeks. She’s been an easy grow. Her smell, colors and bud density are wonder

Week 22, day 4. 5 weeks after switching to 12/12 lighting. Nr 1 is 155 cm tall from top of soil and Nr 2 is 171 cm. They start to smell a lot and there is like sticky glue all over the plant. Its starting to frost up and the buds are swelling nicely.

Hi Growmies. I hope you will all have a blessed Christmas with family and friends around you sharing love and good food. What a great week this has been. It seems they started the cycle so slowly at the beginning of the week and within a few days it had exploded with flowers a across all the plants. From base to tip on each branch of all the ladies they have sprung up with a bang. I was concerned as to how much longer they could go without flowering too. #1 Is leading the pack for production in general, closely followed by #3 but for Flower size and growth, then it has to be #2. She is a lot smaller than her sisters in girth and limbs but is not lacking in the cola dept at all. The plagron bloom products and planned effects are very evident now and i am looking forward to seeing how it helps with yield and quality now. As i have now reached 4 weeks flowering, it is time to add the product I have been most excited about trying , Green Sensation. I have known about thisnpriduct a long time but never had the opportunity to add it to my arsenal. It looks and smells great to me so I expect the girls will savour its goodness. Ok so I'm going too only feed pH water from here on out too force the plants too use up all that's in the soil , I am hoping I can carry them on now for the next 2 weeks like this before they are ripe ,

Trichomes on Cherry MAC Muffin are mostly milky with the first signs of amber – the harvest window is opening 🌕✨ pH is stable at 6.2–6.3, and runoff EC is slowly decreasing as nutrient reserves are being properly depleted. 🍒 Cherry MAC Muffin – Status ➤ Initial runoff was high at 3.7 EC, likely due to salt release from the substrate ➤ Now stable at ~2.7 EC ➤ Still showing vigorous growth, with vivid colors and heavy resin production 💪❄️ ➤ One more thorough flush planned next watering, then the final dry period begins. Flush Setup Using CalMag at EC 0.3 + Flawless Finish (2 ml/L) Fade-out is clearly visible and progressing as planned. 🕒 Harvest is just a few days away!
