Mar 16: Looking good, dialed back in RH, Temp lowered a couple degrees, no oscillating fan so I adjust the position every day. Want to start using MonsterBloom for some fat buds but don't wanna start too early. Also need info if incorporating run-off feeds is necessary if i do occasional 1/4 dose feeds. Slowly dialing back grow nutrients, and upping bloom. New light has made 100X difference. Mar 18th: Will be increasing of volume per feed over the next week to 1 - 1.2L per plant, or until I get 10% run-off. keeping concentration of feed around 800ppm, No signs of deficiencies or toxicities yet, though colour of leaves may be a tad dark, no signs of slowed growth. Increased PPFD to 750 - 940 at the top of the canopy. Mar 21: Going to start counting days not weeks, its been 36 days since they popped, so just over 5 weeks now, I was a bit ahead. Explosive growth, still playing the "increase volume of feed until I get 10-15% runoff" game, at 1L now, will up to 1.25L for todays feed. decreasing FloraGro by .5ml/gal every feed till I get to 1 - 1.5mL/gal. increasing FloraBloom by .5mL/gal every feed till I get to 7 - 7.5mL/gal, or until I see P or K toxicity, whatever comes first. That being said if I get runoff today and its 300 ppm over input, i will flush with a mild feed until I get proper output/input ppm ratio. She has become out of control, buds are way too heavy, a stem fell during the night and the upper cola on that stem has developed mold very quickly. But this isolated incident didn't stop her from producing loads of trichomes everywhere, that are almost 100% milky. A few more days to wait and I'll proceed to harvest 😎

It was finally time to harvest her, what good times we had with her. Amazed with how beautiful this plant is, how easy to manage and train and how rewarding Orange Hill Special is. So we said our thanks and goodbye, thanked her for all the joy she gave while growing her. I realize more and more how I love growing them even more than the end-product. It takes my mind of all going on for a while, in my miniature jungle world in the attic. Im sure all of you just sometimes sit there and watch them, in wonder, dreaming away with a good buzz on, watching them wave in the wind of the fans. So with a heavy hart I apologize, play them their last music, sit with them and feel them and smell them, watch the glistening of the cristals. In the end we had 209 gram dried Orange Hill Special, I will know the total of the grow, in a few days, since the final big whopper still has to dry: my XtraKush, be sure to check the harvest of that one *in couple of days) and see a one-dollar seed outperform two 10 dollar seeds. Already in week 7 of our little experiment! They are all growing slower while prioritizing on thickening their buds. #3 is still and will for ever be a problem, though! But we have definitly learned a lot from our fine ladies so far. The smell is getting better every week, mostly consisting of a sour-apple-ring-aroma, which is actually kinda delicious! Adjusted nutrient intake by increasing the amount of Bio-Grow because #2 showed signs of deficiency by her leaves slowly turning pale. Watering every two days due to them living in that small 4,4L pot and probably having an dense root system by now. This is plant #1/3. She has developed the biggest buds so far, even merging some into one huge bud on a few branches.

You can see that the buds have hardly grown any more this week and I am waiting for the trichomes to mature further. What surprised me, however, was that the Blue Dream recovered very well. Of course it has remained significantly smaller due to the problems, but the buds look promising.

Slowly stretching, doubled in height and width. At end of week going to start feeding foxfarm trio at half dosage following feeding schedule. Growing steadily. Still slightly tucking leaves. Trying to give least amount of stress as possible.

Day 33: What an amazing height and bud gain in just 3 days! Lady #1 is 67 cm tall now, her sister a tad smaller. Both still have a great color, and I dared to cur away just the lowest branches and leaves that do not look like they could gain height in time. Really enjoying this strain so far! At the end of their day, they are a bit dropping leaves, so clearly no hunger for more light. The impressive growth speed continued on their buds: Tallest lady at 70 cm now. Their next morning shows growth is still at an impressive 5 cm/day as lady #1 with her leaves erected again stretches now 72, the maximum of my previous growth. Pulled the lights as close as possible to the ceiling and hope they won’t make it much more than 1 m. I activated the Sansi 30 W folded wings LED to give them somewhat of a morning and evening light and to add some more light to their overlapping center branches in the middle of "their" day. Sadly that’s causing some interference to the timelapse videos, but I can’t say they’re perfect if it wouldn’t. Watching the timelapse video of day 34, I have the feeling the additional light rather irritates them. Maybe the interference is not only visible for electronic eyes. I’ll keep it off next day for comparisons. Day 35 shows stretch speed has reduced indeed and they seem to be concentrating on leaf and bud growth instead. 75 cm, so we are currently at "only" 3 cm/day. Watered them with a HPE/Bud growth mix again last night, about 1 l each. Well, forget my words about reduced growth. After they recovered during the night, we are at 77 cm for lady #1. Which measured at 78 with hanging leaves in their day’s evening. I must have missed a day number – day 36 concludes their 5th week. I gave them another 2 l of fertilised water each and will lave them for the weekend again. Video shows that growth concentrates now more on leaf and bud development than on gaining height. So I guess my 160 cm tent will be sufficient. For a moment I was worried, but it looks like stretch is over. Anyway, time to rearrange the camera next week. Leaves are running out of focus.

Day 78 - Amazing Buds! WOW! a. this plant's buds just keep maturing! Pistils are going red/orange/brown b. the trichome heads are mostly white, not seeing amber yet c. i cant believe how dense these buds are! Day 79 - she drinks! a. she is drinking 4L a day right now, slowing down a little b. pistils are about 50% colored, and the trichomes are very milky, a few clears c. she is ripening up nice in this flush, many fan leaves are being disconnected by the plant, she is near the end of her life, I am removing many fan leaves per day without force, they just fall off the bud d. the effects are really good, I dried a small bud, and the effects are nice Day 80 - ripening nicely a. the buds are all maturing, pistils turning brown b. the resin is building up on all the buds, the trichome heads are mostly milky white Day 81 - DWC change a. another change out for fresh water, the flush is making the buds so frosty and smell so good! b. drinking about 4 litres a day still, 12/12 hours light is working well Day 82 - real monster plant a. her buds are as big as my arm, and the smell is so intense! b. the fresh water flush is the way to go! Day 83 - trichomes are 90% milky a. she is ripening very nicely, has about 80% brown pistils Day 84 - iced out a. the amount of resin that is being produced is unreal! b. I dont see any amber trichomes yet, she has some time!

Start of week 3. Feeding a little more consistently. 1gal of the above every 3 days.

Last week it rained and it looks like it is going to rain again this week. Frostbanger didn't get any nutrients last week which is okay because it is time to flush. I am flushing earlier than I had planned but it is time to take Frostbanger down!!! It has also been very humid here, around 90% and I am worried about bud rot. Frostbanger is definitely dense and resin covered, just like its description. It also has a very strong smell. I am sure the neighbors can smell it-LOL. This strain has been a pretty easy strain to grow. The weather conditions have been my biggest challenge.

Day 7 - Everything seems to be going ok they are all growing about the same pace! Day 8 - They are all growing pretty equal right now , extremely happy with how things are going!✌️🏼🌱 Day 11 - one plant has some twisted leaves hopefully it’s nothing serious😫 will be keeping a eye on her, other than that they all seem to be growing great!
