At the beginning of this week, I have been fighting the gnats, which are less and less now. Just some watering and gradually lowering the light and going to full power. What I actually do is more of an intuitive hybrid between mainlining (where I bend the whole plant 90 degrees at the third week), LST (where I bend branches outward slightly, without tying), HST / Super crop (where I bend the stems 90 degrees with the clips or manually), after which I keep bending outward to SOG and, put the net over to end in SCROG. This same method gave me the canopy in my prize-winning Gelato 33 grow. I haven't seen such lush greens in my own grows, only outdoor. They seem uber-healthy and resilient, with very sturdy stems and leaves. Halfway through this week, I took the clips out, AND...... we switched them to go into flowering. After a day the stretch is already visible. I had to bend them again after a couple of days. Now we have almost a tent filling foundation for a maximum result canopy of buds. I was wanting to amend the soil with flowering additions (see recipe in yellow image), but I'm holding it off for two reasons. A/ The leaves are still so green and lush, I think there is an abundance of nutes. B/ @Haoss mentions his suspicions on his OHS grow (@#CannapediaProGrowersCup Orange Hill that very sadly went hermie on him) that nutrition in this phase could have had an influence, after asking what happened to him. I would have loved to see that grow to full harvest. But it makes me a bit cautious. if Haoss (whom I consider to be one of the star growers here) couldn't prevent this, what chance have I? I'm waiting until the girls start asking for nutrients. They'll show me what they need in their own time. For now this soil is the shizzle (also quite literally) and Im happy with how everything is going. I remember much more hassle and steering in the last grow. This grow, even the Gorilla runt seems happy. I now water them 3 liters of water / Perma tea mixture every 4 days, every 3rd watering I don't do the tea. This makes for fewer gnats and this soil seems to hold water nicely, also due to the hydro corn. What I like is there is always some unforeseen circumstance, a tilt of the tables, some battle to be fought which delivers in big harvests or, in worst case, no harvest at all. It makes it more exciting, when your heart is at stake, we pour a lot of love and attention in the ladies. So with hopes, but not too high, we go into flowering. This is Week 3 of flower. It looks like I am going to be the only one between the pest infectors and the bad growers that will have a normal quality harvest. Smells amazing minty pine. Very trainwreck sativa structure. Internodes everywhere. Small fan leaves.

Week 3 FIMing

She did quite well for being grown in a 9L pot and got a decent root structure. Because there where 4 plants in the tent this one suffered a bit and got squashed out the way. But she still did a good solid yield.

Soaked seeds all in peroxide solution for effortless germination 48 hours or until root pops out 1mm, than I paper towel them for 2 days for tap roots before planting in the medium. Note: Smile now Cry Laterz and FX3 were started one week later. Not pictured in this post. The first 6 popped were lemon cherry pop, which are from S1 seeds I made from 2 females using the stress method. I just raised my flowering temps for one day at 92 degrees during week 4 flowering to make them herm as an experiment and it worked😅! This was during a hot summer and I just shut off the a/c for a day in the room which I usually keep at 77-82 degrees! So I basically tricked them!

Only 10 days of drying and 2.5 weeks of curing, but I'll post the smoke report: Tastes of sweet Carmel creaminess. Very smooth and great high. That's why so many strains have gelato as one of their parents. Because it's damn good. 8/10. Very happy with gelato. Harvested 3.99 ounces (111.8 grams) of primo Gelato flower. Chopped day 82 from seed in soil.

Beautiful plant, she had a very nice stretch during the last 2 weeks of flower, and she's now starting to get chunky, the flowers smell really good, very gassy smell and also citrussy, let's see how this lady keeps fating up those flowers!

Dos Si Dos # 33 ready for drying in the jar, honest weight (53,5g) seeing the structure which was very small I would have expected something less.. but I am very satisfied. the quality of this weed is absolutely at the top, the taste is very well defined.. when smoked it makes your nose tingle,flavor it is mainly pure lemon with a hint of mint in it. even the strong smell induces an entire room in a few seconds without even smoking it yet. I also collected a 0.4g of scissor hash which turned out very well. it is my favorite in this crop because it surprised me in everything both for its unique terpene profile and for its yield that I never expected given its size compared to wedding cakes. the total weight therefore of all three plants is (135.5g) and a total trim of (44.9g) that according to the calculations even of these crops I reached (1g/watt) precisely. (And im not a pro) I am certainly satisfied with that. 🙌🏻💚

Shes about to blow up so i fed her 10 liters today with 1.2ec (1000-1200ppm) Thats 1ml/l calmag and 1.2grams/liter drypart bloom, also put the ph UP because this nutrient is very sour. I had to add about 7-8 ml in my water because i use rain.

We will start to check the tricomes next week but i think that some more time is needed, the buds are nice and fat and have a tremendous smell, great strain, specially if you like something easy to grow, its really a pleasure growing this strain, i took some monster crops some weeks ago and have a separate diary for these 😁

Flowering week three

It should be said that originally, I had planted 3 ASD and 1 Critical+ only to discover down the road that one of the ASD's was not a genetic abnormality as I thought (Even Humboldt replied back that it was a genetic anomaly.
