12/11/2021 - held in a glass of filtered water for 24 hours and then used the paper towel method for 48 hours. Seeds planted today in 6 litre pots to germinate before being moved to 15 litre pots on week 3 of veg. high humidity this week - 70% - and 100ml of filtered water every other day. 16/11/21 - all 9 have broken the soil and are stretching slightly to the light 20/11/21 root juice

This girl is growing like a sword – tall, slender, and cutting through the canopy with style 😅 She's stretched quite a bit, and down below she’s rocking four tiny side shoots that I’m honestly not sure what to think of yet. But hey, I’m letting her do her thing. Stretch seems to be slowing down now, and I'm starting to spot the very first trichomes glistening under the light, always an exciting moment! 10/27 - Today is technically day 28 since germination. I would normally wait three more days before doing this update, but enough has changed, I figured it warranted documenting it early. Today I did a solution change to half-strength week 3 guidelines per the Dyna-Gro feed schedule from their website. This gave me a ppm of 740 total, including 170 ppm tap (measured using Hanna Primo .5 conversion). This gives me 570ppm (1.14ec) of nutrients. The solution was changed about four hours prior to their nap time (of four hours in length). Shortly after the lights came back on I noticed this discoloration on her roots (as shown above in picture and video). Both ladies in the video were given the exact same solution at the same time and now show noticeably different ppms (Sour Diesel Auto - 770ppm; Amnesia XXL Auto - 720ppm). I'm not sure why they are exhibiting different reactions to the same solution. She doesn't seem to be showing any other negative effects at this point. Root growth is phenomenal and her vegetation has only accelerated since being topped. Just slightly concerned about what to do with the root issue. I have thought about adding Botanicare Hydroguard since the smaller buckets will run slightly warmer in temp. Once they start drinking more, I will bump them up to 5 gallon buckets, but that's not needed at this time. Any advice, questions, or observations are very welcome. This is my first DWC run and first run with Dyna-Gro. Edit: 10/29 - Added 2ml/gal Botanicare Hydroguard as a precaution regarding her potential root issue. Res temps are mid-seventies, so I'd say it's a safe move and some relatively cheap insurance. Edit: 10/31 - PPMs kept increasing up close to 800 from the original 740. Added pH'd water to dilute right close to 700ppm. Would have diluted more, but that was touching the bottom of the net pot. Removed two main fan leaves that were actively shading new growth nodes. Added second Mars Hydro SP150 and raised both to 18" above canopy.

Cindy has been flipped to flower! Both plants in my tent have reached their max veg height and width. I did a preflower defoliation and flush and have flipped to a 12/12 light cycle.

I (pre-moistened) worked in 2.5 gallons of de-chlorinated tap water, with my fingers into this high-porosity soilless growing medium. This variant is very dry, and seems to reject water, until moistened(3cu ft compressed, Agro a5-hp from local nursery). Even after the 2.5 gallons of water was worked in (with no runoff), there was still a dry patch at the bottom of the pot.. I figured it would start to absorb from the wet medium on top, over time. It is now Day 10, and the moistened medium never needed to be watered since day 1. The medium is almost dry enough to be watered (see final picture). Maybe one or two more days. I will poke/scratch the soil daily, to ensure that I wait long enough, to not over-water.

Some suggestions pointed to a nitrogen deficiency, but I don’t think that’s the case. I applied a good watering with Bactomatik, which contains 2% nitrogen and nitrogen-fixing bacteria. This was already a planned watering, and while the plant started stretching a bit, I haven’t noticed any improvements in leaf coloration yet. I’ll keep monitoring closely to see how it recovers. But If anyone has a suggestion pointing in a different direction, I'm here to listen! 👂 Over the next two days, I’ll start with LST, so that within 1-2 weeks, I can set up the SCROG net.

Week 2 Bloom (…or is it? 🤔🌱) Alright, here we are—officially week 2 of bloom, at least that’s the plan! But I’ve got to admit… I’m starting to wonder if I might’ve accidentally grabbed one of my Red Hot Cookies photoperiod seeds instead of an autoflower. 😅 She’s looking great, growing steadily, but so far, no clear signs of budding, which is a bit strange for this point. If nothing pops up in the next few days, I’ll move her into the tent with my Red Hot girl and start manual light deprivation—if my work schedule allows. Gotta stay flexible! 💡🌒 🕷️ Spider mites update: I’ve been on patrol—manually removed quite a few and today, the predatory mites finally arrived! Hoping they clean house and keep things in check. Thanks to regular compost tea and bi-weekly silica foliar sprays, the plants are holding up strong and showing good resilience. 💧 Feeding routine this week: BioBizz Grow + Bloom + TopMax Compost tea (as always, brewed with love) Silica spray twice for that natural armor 🌿🛡️ So even if the timeline feels a little mysterious, she’s thriving and stacking energy for what’s next. All the ladies bounced back from the little stress at the transition. They are all charging. On 9.11 I’ve increased the light from 600 to 660w. We will see tomorrow how they handle it.
