October 22, 2021 Dinafem Quick Critical is looking great. Amazing growth this week!!! CBD Medi Kush is growing slowly and is a little twisted, it might not mean anything at this stage we'll see how she performs in the upcoming week. Critical Sour finally popped around 9 days after planting the original seed, I had planted a second seed when there was no seedling after 7 days. that new seed popped in 6 days and looked much healthier than the first seedling. I pulled the first Critical Sour seedling and will be growing out the second seedling only. Dr Bruce Banner has not popped either of the two seeds, its now 14 days since the first seed was planted and 14 days since the second seed was planted. I'm going to leave the pot in the tent for a few more days to see if a seedling appears, but if nothing happens soon I'll pull the pot out of the tent and just grow out the other three. The week was partly sunny and partly rainy and our plants had to be canopied on the balcony nearly every day. Rare sunny hours. Humidity is mostly ok, but I‘m checking now very regular if the plant need to be harvested. The flowers are covered in trichomes, pistils got brown on the upper flowers, the larger fan leaves loose their color and I could spot first amber. But I want to wait as long as possible. Pure rainwater in the morning and in the evening. Flushing first time with a good drainage. Trichome fotos at the end :)

Really easy strain, grew super well despite my battling to balance the ph, changing of lights and a massive temperature/humidity spike. Looks good and smells strong. Looking forward to the next grow.

The hermaphroditic of the two S.A.D.s has stopped, in total it remained at 4x 🍌 Since 5 days no more were added and I could already observe via my timelapse recordings how the flowers continue to grow. The Bruce Banner also shows no further deterioration in terms of potassium deficiency, the flowers continue to grow steadily. Although the S.A.D.'s were fertilized identically, neither of them show any major deficiency. Also interesting how S.A.D. #4 has overtaken her sister and her smell is not "grassy" at all. Something between floral with a sweet citrus/orange note. What also surprised me was that the Bruce Banner is already very far along in the development of its trichomes, many are already milky!

I took these on my Snapchat is why there is so many of them 😅 I'm currently doing the 48 hours of darkness to help produce more trichomes. I did SO MUCH to this plant, it looks like it will DEFINITELY have some weight to it, but you will have to wait until it's dry 😄

All in all a great genetic. Grew into insane colas. The photos above are of only half the total yeild as I have 8oz bagged up and sealed. After a weeks curing it has improved but not enough to really blow me away. I'll be back to seek my revenge in the future but for now its goodbye.

The Apple Cup hermied this week along with the Baker's Dozen. Fortunately Tropicanna Poison is flowering so fast that it seems to be unbothered by the hermies next to it. The hermied plants will be stunted as more energy will be focused on developing pollen/seeds. Also I'll have to chop them down early before any seeds begin to solidify within the buds. It's ideal to immediately remove any hermies as soon as pollen sacs are spotted. Unfortunately I only have my small closet space so I decided to leave them and observe the growth of hermies.

Some mild defoliation this week. Budding up nicely and starting to frost. This girl was having a foliar feed of algae last week but this week she's getting light foliar sprays of the Lacalva stress treatment from madame grow on top of her other feed. I'll do this every 2/3 mornings and I'll only lightly mist the top. I'll concentrate most of my foliar feed on the lower growth and undersides, away from the buds. This is the main reason I kept so many lower fan leaves this time.

We're into the start of September and they've only just begin flowering. Hopefully they get to finish. It's looking to be mid to late October!

O objetivo é conseguir entregar o ppm de cada elemento bem próximo do feedchart Advanced Nutrients, mas usando fertilizante mineral muito mais barato e mais acessível no meu país, e algumas sobras que tenho da @casadasarvoresgrow

After 11 weeks, I harvested the plants in two stages. It went faster than I thought, and the yields are impressive. The yields are much better for the four plants that I was able to keep shorter in height. They developed more dense, firm buds than the taller four plants, which is why I harvested them a few days later. I only watered with water during the last week and lowered the light to 600-700 ppfd. I'm drying now at 20 degrees Celsius and 55-60% relative humidity until the first stems snap, then the herb goes into hygrometer jars for curing. This time I trimmed wet because there were some really thick branches, and I didn't want to risk mold. All in all, it looks like a good harvest. I misjudged the height with this strain. I thought I could keep the plants relatively short by using topping and LST (low-stress training). This only worked for half of them. One of the plants was about 3 cm below the light, which is really suboptimal because I have no space above. I might have chosen a smaller pot size and swapped the plants' positions more often. I was also a bit too cautious with defoliation and pruning, but this was planned as an experiment to grow bushier plants, which didn't make me as happy in my application. Due to the high CO2 content, the cannabis grows exceptionally bushy and leafy. It requires regular pruning. The buds themselves have turned out really well. They are nice and firm, some quite large, and covered with many trichomes. The smell of the strain is less intense than I thought but still very pleasant.
