Finally flipped and HOLY MOLY is it awesome to start seeing the flowers coming in for the first time on your first grow. Super delayed flip to flower and I am manually switching the lights/opening tent every day due to prioritized spending. BIG HUMIDITY PROBLEM. As I have still not hooked up an outtake fan for the tent I don't see my girls surviving past the next couple weeks so hopefully I can get that figured out. I'll open it up to 95% RH by morning and it sits around 60% even with an open tent. Other than that, I'm happy with the bud sites gained from my first ever grow. Just feeling my way through Topping, Fim, SCROG, and LST was fun a rewarding for sure. Just have to make sure they reach the finish line. TUES: Cleaned tent floor and walls with disinfectant wipes, seemed to get rid of the smell so far. Still worried about the humidity in the closed tent during the dark period. Need a duct fan hardcore before the buds start coming in. The first sight of trichs already sent me into a Powdery Mildew panic. 😱 THURS: Humidity break. Down in the 45% range and have been able to keep it in the 80s with a huge bowl of dried pasta in the tent lmao no coffee whitener or rice on hand 😒 Defoliation of light blockers and bunch ups to improve the airflow in the canopy. I'm hoping the UV lights in my LED set up are enough to keep mildew at bay and can get the dark period RH% down before buds fatten and there is risk for rot.

Hey Now, this week went pretty good for the Acid Dough Auto, I started feeding her some PK booster/Kool Bloom, and also did a very light defoliation. I think I trained her out a little too far, because she only grew to about 30 inches. I think the sweet spot will be right in between what I did with the Wedding Cheesecake and this Acid Dough Auto. Not much to do now except wait for the buds to swell up and develop. I also posted a short video with a few pics from all my grows over this past year. | WEEK FOUR UPDATE | Week four my friends, this came fast and furious and blew me away. I’m going to toss up a few more photos showing what I’m so surprised about. GROWTH! I was worried about a couple of the girls, and wasn't sure how to react to their progress until now. Autos have a completely different rhythm compared to what I’m used to handling (photo periods). I feel that autos can have an awkward stage appearance wise during week 3-5 (time may vary depending on seedbank) since a lot of hormonal changes are happening at an accelerated rate. Well done Fast Buds, these are truly living up to the name. Compared to other autos I grew from a different company (Growers Choice) which took over 100 days for flowering to kick in adding up to roughly 133 days till harvest. I could fit several grows of Fast Buds genetics in that time frame. If you’re someone who is looking to increase the amount of potential grows yearly, I’d recommend these genetics. These girls have just started flower so It’ll be a bit before I give my final thoughts on these genetics from Fast Buds, but I won’t deny that I’m impressed. I moved the plants around so the shortest are on one side so I can set individual light height for each side. I didn’t want to lose energy for smaller plants that could be utilized by lowering one of the lights. Now onto the details :) | ORANGE SHERBET | There are two phenotypes that are expressing themselves. One (#2) is medium height of 11 inches, stocky, and full of bud sites. The other (#1) is the smallest of all the plants, 8 ½ inches but honestly has a really good structure despite its size. I love the citrus dominant terpenes in both girls, 2# smell like mandarin orange zest which admittedly I have a weakness for. | WEDDING CHEESECAKE | This strain is also expressing two phenotypes. #1 is 9 ½ inches tall with a solid structure. #2 is 16 inches, a decent height and great limb proportions. She has the best structure of all the strains I’m growing from Fast Buds. Looks amazing, and is taking a bit more time to flower than some the others, which is fine considering how healthy and strong she looks. | PURPLE LEMONADE | When life gives you lemons, stretch! These two are the tallest of the strains resting at a height of 19 - 20 inches. #1 has limited limbs, if anything she’s all stem and bud sites making up one massive cola site that’s going to consume most of the energy and nutrients. So I expect this girl to have the largest buds of the others. She’s also the first to flower and currently ahead by almost a week. #2 has more limbs but less bud sites on the main cola than her sister. I’m curious how these two will develop in the next few weeks. | FINAL THOUGHTS | Another week has gone by my friends, time flies these days. This week was productive and informative. I’m learning a lot from growing these girls, and look forward to the coming weeks. I’m happy with what I’m seeing so far, especially WC #2, and OS #2, these two are the stars of this grow! On a side note I was contacted by Heather from Fast Buds, she offered to send another batch of Stardawg since they didn’t make it. I didn’t expect this, so I was surprised when I read the email. This week has been good both plants are growing great with no problems in there transition to flower they jus started to stretch so I hung the 600 watt lamp at 24 in and will lower it as they flower but a very productive week so far. Gonna add nutes at the end of this week so they will have some nutes to fall back on when bud sites appear

The new developing growth is green so everything seems to be going well. I’m gonna give it another week and then I’ll defoliate. I have backups of the mothers and I have backups of those backups so I’ll definitely still be able to take another shot after seeing the results from this grow ….

Harvest week for Auto Mintz arrived around week 14-15, with the two plants hitting about 90 cm and sporting sticky buds. The air carried a sharp, minty scent, and the trichomes had turned mostly milky with a few amber flecks – time to cut. Watering stopped a couple of days before, and on harvest day, the buds were trimmed carefully, yielding a modest but satisfying 140 grams dry from both plants. They dried over a week in a dark, ventilated spot at 20-22°C and 45-50% humidity, keeping their fresh aroma. It was a straightforward process with a decent outcome for the effort.

Week 4 Day 1 all 3 plants were transplanted from smaller cups in to 5 gallon fabric pots yesterday and seem to be taking to their new homes nicely, a little bit of leaf curling but I did give them a pretty intense watering. I picked up a bag of Fox Farms Happy Frog potting mix for them now that they are in 5 gallons, hopefully they will be happy in the better quality soil. If all continues to go well with the transplant I will be topping hopefully in the next couple days. I will be trying to manifold at least one of these plants. Week 4 Day 4 All 3 plants seem to have recovered nicely from their transplanting. I topped all three plants today and attempted two clones from the toppings of KBGB1 and Jack Herer, made a mini greenhouse for them out of a tomato cage and some cellophane Week 4 Day 5 I cleaned up all the undergrowth below the third node in preparation to start manifolding.
