So in my attemp to germinate Apple Fritter I had 5 seeds 4 light colored 1 dark. First 2 were light colored, and did not germinate in water. I placed them in a seperate potter. If they grow I will replant them. The dark colored seed did sprout a tail, and was dropped into the rock wool today. Should have a sprout in 2 to 3 days 🤞. * ***************** Week 3 of Growth From Seed, April 25 to May 1, 2020 - Days 15 to 21 from germination ********************** * Started the head scratching more this week and wondering what is going on with the slower growth she has experienced the last 4 days or so. She is looking good and not dark....environment is good.....what the heck is the pH so high when been given feed well inline and below 6.0......why runoff numbers in low 7's so early in the run?? A number of heavy feedings this week so that I can read the runoff numbers for her. Going to keep staying the course with feeding but lower the pH because she is still progressing and its still pretty early in the run........not much veg time for an auto though so I need to get this figured out pretty soon. Gave her some Epsom salts this week as well as I have been battling Magnesium deficiency the last run or two. Always just used CalMag but I don't think the girls always want as much Calcium as they are given this way though. Fed at a rate of 1tsp/gal in a two litre feed early on in the week. Little more Detail........... Apr 25/20, Day 15 - 500ml feed - VitaThrive and Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml - 700ppm and 6.0pH - small feed of base nute to try and perk her up. - noticed the lower leaves are droopy while the upper leaves are perky still. - Still working on dialing the light for these girls as they are happier at 30" away from canopy. Apr 26/20 - Day 16 - 500ml feed - AN Sensi Cal @ 1.5ml, Sensyzime @ 2ml, Epsom Salt @ 1tsp/gal - 700ppm and 6.0pH - The Epsom Salt alone shot the ppm to 500 - Only have the veg switch on for the UnitFarm light. - feeling some of the other girls are showing some magnesium deficiency with the yellowing perimeter of the leaves. Apr 27/20 - Day 17 - dry out day - Cut slits in the bottom of the bag today to let more water out, more quickly when feeding. - Wondering if the root zone is staying too wet and therefore causing some stunted growth. - She has been falling a sleep too early in the day so either too much light or getting root bound? Apr 28/20 - Day 18 - needing some runoff numbers to see what the hell is going on - fed 3L - Piranha @ 1ml, VooDoo @ 2ml, Dual Fuel @ 1ml - going in was 575ppm and 5.3pH - runoff numbers were 1450ppm and 6.9pH - WTF......bring it down......next feed at only 500ppm and 5.0pH to lower her?? - leaf colour is perfect. Stems are a little immature yet, but side branching is coming out stronger. Apr 29/20 - Day 19 - 8L feed - Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml = 325ppm and 5.0pH - runoff after the watering was 500ppm and 7.0pH - WTF.....expected it to be more in the 6.5pH range and not that high still? - KK looked worse off, still droopy, after this than the other girls did. Lack of oxygen in root zone with so much water? Its coco though shouldn't be for too long. Apr 30/20 - Day 20 - dry out day - KK likes it a little dryer in her medium.....she perked up more today and looking a lot better. - She has had more vertical growth the last day and she is spacing out some of her nodes. - Her stem is thicker and she is getting stronger. - Still a week behind though in my opinion and they should have been this size a week ago. Apr 31/20 - Day 21 - dry out day - she has done very well the last two days and going to keep riding that wave, didn't water today. - She has certainly gotten taller and wider.......getting her back on track? That will wrap up this puzzling week........pH is not staying low after being brought down......shoots back up over 7 in only 24 hours idea. Working on it Growmies. The average size of meshes used vary from 90 to 180 microns and are mostly made by silk and for this reason uneven. I think the most productive ways to sift are Dry Ice and  rotating pollinator + CO2, I've tried a DIY pollinator built by a friend and it can reach up to 20/25% of resin extracted at 120 microns and 15% at 90 microns. But smell and taste don't reach that traditionally extracted but this is another story. Morroccan way is good compromise between a stashbox or more evolute methods. It requires less than 10 dollar of expenses. You need: a basin or pot  without handles a heavy-duty plastic bag that contains the basin a pair of chopsticks a good 120 microns net an elastic band tape Kif or trim q.s. Another week done some great growth from most, the white widow looks like it might still be decent but that's the joys with autos you never know, I put the megapots and autopots i snuck in without mentioning on with week 3 feed as I done it today end if week 2 along with tucking some leaves & I've been spraying the insides & outsides of the fabric pots trying to keep the moisture up around them I don't know why my temps are so high in the day I just think I need to go LED to be honest it goes down to 25 past 5pm . Anything you guys think I could do on top? Also the plemonade fell over so i had to stand hsr up again should be no problem

The temperatures in my city finally dropped so my plants are responding way better to the lower temps. I began with a little LST at the end off the week because this Strawberry Pie Auto grows compact with little node spacing, so I did some LST to open her up and get more light onto the little baby budsites :)

06/04/24. Going into week 5 flower. Not much to say here this week. Everything is pretty much same as last week. Seems like things are slow going. I feel like the buds aren’t doing much really and should be bigger. These are a longer going strain than my other so maybe that makes a difference. Maybe I’m just impatient. Guess we’ll see. Only thing aside from that I find concerning is #2 seems to have some pistils turning color. Seems way too early for that. I keep checking for hermie crap or pollen or something lol. If this was just its thing it seems like both plants would be doing it, but I guess you know what they say about assuming. Thanks for lookin & have a good week.

Day 24: 600 W LED Light schedule 24/6, ventilation is the same +15 min after the lamp switches off. Water: 50ml per plant so 2x 25 ml per day per plant. Fertilization with bat guano and the same amount of water on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. They grow nicely! Someone commented that it looks more magnesium deficiency problem instead of burning so suggested me to add Epsom salt to the water. I ordered Epsom salt so I will give it a go! Thank you! I still believe that I put too close the lamp so it was related to it also but I can see spots on the lower leaves so there is magnesium problem here as well. By the way, they look now beautiful! Blue Sherbet S1 is slower a bit but it is Sativa. Day 25: They started growing rapidly. Day by day they are getting bushy and growing nicely. Day 26: Epsom salt has arrived. I will start feeding them with it. I will mix one tablespoon with 50 ml water 2x a day and I will do it on Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Day 27: As I mentioned in my other diary the last 3 days was crazy hot especially today in London 38 degrees. In my tent, there are 32-32.5 degrees. Luckily, I have direct ventilation on the plants so they won't feel that much heat, but it is crazy... anyways They are getting really bushy and keep growing. I can see some yellow pots but started feeding properly them with Epsom salt and bat guano. Day 29: I retrained (LST) they so tried to spread the sides and bend more the main stamp and also changed their position so I placed them to a different corner. Day 30: It looks like that the Epson salt is good they look better green also now I just damage some leaves as I retrained them. Tomorrow starts the 5th week where I will do some Topping to them except to the Blue Sherbet S1 because it is quite small for that. I will use only LST and FIMing for her.

She's definitely taking longer than expected, but i don't mind since the buds seem to still fatten up didn't have time to water again this week so she's a little dried up, I removed some fan leaves that were completely dry and brittle there's some beautiful purple coming through should be ready anytime soon now
