Tag 37: Ich beginne die Royal Gorilla zu scroggen und ein wenig entlauben war nötig.

This started out as a pain in the ass to grow because I was expecting a light promised to me by a company I wont name that was never followed thru with and I ended up having to pay out of pocket for it. Luckily I was able to move one of my other fixtures from my other tent for bloom so they could finish up strong. This strain has potential to be great like this plant but also has the potential to end up like my first attempt at it so I gave it 9/10 stars. If every one came out like this one it would be a 11/10. Great daytime smoke, finished up relatively quickly considering its size. Only negatives were the smell isnt as strong as I thought it would be based off the end of flower but in the grand scheme of things is not a big deal it still smells it's just subtle. I cant help but wonder if it would have been even bigger and better if I had enough light to give it the first 6 weeks. The autopots were run from around week 4 to 7 until I disconnected and started hand feeding so I could use thicker nutes with the organics like the pbp and nirvana. 11021

Have had some challenges this week. In my lack of experience, I have struggle to discern whether my plant is deficient in nutrients, suffering lockout or approaching harvest. Symptoms were yellowing leaves... The cause of which can be, of course, many different things. I decided to flush last week, thinking that a nutrient lockout was most likely. Leaves less yellow this week so think it may have done the trick. I have spent some time researching and considering flushing as a technique to improve final bud quality. I have decided that there simply isn't enough evidence to deny my girl of nutrients at a critical phase of her growth. I am therefore continuing a reduced feeding schedule of - 1mls topmax - 2mls BioBloom - 1 scoop biosys ecothrive - 2.5mls Cannazym. And, unless indicated otherwise, will continue with this schedule up until harvest. Today I have tested PPM of the run off and measure it to be approx 1050ppm. I will measure again in 24 hours to monitor change after a feed. Purchased a 60x microscope and am able to see that 90% of trichomes are still clear. I am therefore anticipating at least another couple of weeks before harvest. Buds look fluffier than I'd like, but resin and trichome production haven't disappointed. I'm hoping that over the next few weeks the buds will continue to fatten. 19/11/2021 - Day 79. Have a few days off so have managed to catch some photos in day light. Have also uploaded a video. Feel that she isn't particularly happy... But on the other hand, she is showing the resistance and ability to adapt to less than ideal growing conditions; as promised by the strain genetics. Plenty of trichs, plenty of resin, plenty of buds. Just need them to fatten and fill out for maximum yield and quality. 23/11/21 - Day 83 - Still some deficiencies but she doesn't seem to be using much water so reluctant to feed at risk of overwatering. Noticing lots of new pistil formation. Looking frosty, but all trichomes still clear. Temperatures dropping to around 2°c overnight here. Managing to maintain temperatures around 10°c in the shed. Appreciate that this is too cold for growth but she seems to be coping with it well. I think that a gradual reduction in temperature has been tolerated better than fluctuant or sudden drops would be. Fingers crossed that her hardy nature keeps her strong. Fed today: 1mls BioBloom 2mls Topmax Half scoop Biosys Ecothrive Filtered water - pH 6.5, TDS 320 Run off 953 TDS 29/11/21 - Day 90 - no sign of any amber yet. Still mostly clear with a splattering of cloudy. Really worrying about the night time temps now and holding out hope that it doesn't die off before the trichomes mature.

My 2 permanent marker plants they are loving the light being turned up they are praying constantly there internodes are so close together they have not stretched out very far yet. I'm thinking they are going to be on the short end but who knows some plants do complete opposite when they hit the flower strech. I still have not gotten the nutrients down for the one plant I'm thinking when I flip to flower it will it will turn around nicely I love the shaoe and look of it's leaves. The day has come and it's time to flip these ladies to flower. I was planning on letting them go untill Friday and let the smaller ones grow just a bit more but they will be fine. I have the eternity cup contest in mind and I'm thinking timing so I need to get these lady done and out my tent lol. This past week I turned the light up alot getting them ready to flower they have grown a bunch inhavendone lst maybe 5 it 6 times on the branchs and they arw nit bendy anymore that will help durring flower.

This will be the last week in veg! You can already see some coots forming and their height is upwards of 18 inches. I will switch their light schedule on Sunday and start the bloom. Can’t wait!!

Harvest count down 3days left.

This week brought some challenges—I discovered thrips on the leaves of my plant. Thankfully, the infestation isn’t too severe yet, and I acted quickly to address the issue: 1. Sprayed the plant with plain water to knock off any pests. 2. Removed the top layer of soil. 3. Applied BioBizz Leaf Coat as a protective measure. I really hope this will help. After reading up on these nasty pests, I learned that they can completely devastate the leaves if left unchecked. Unfortunately, I have only myself to blame for their appearance. Due to the cold weather, I’ve been using a heater in the room with my growbox, which has caused the humidity to drop significantly. It sometimes dips as low as 30%, and it rarely goes above 50%. Most of the time, the humidity hovers around 35-40%, which is an ideal breeding ground for thrips. To answer the obvious question—yes, I do have a humidifier. However, my growbox has a very powerful exhaust fan (315 m³/h for an 80x80 space), so the air is refreshed too quickly for the humidifier to make a lasting difference. Aside from fighting thrips, I also made some adjustments to my grow this week. On Day 20, I did a little LST. Honestly, I wasn’t planning on using any training techniques in this grow, but I decided to give it a try anyway. One thing I can say for sure—I want to skip LST in my next grow. It’s quite inconvenient to water the plant when the leaves are practically touching the soil. Additionally, I defoliated the first two sets of leaves. I felt this was necessary to improve airflow around the plant and reduce the risk of pests spreading further. Watering: Day 17: 400 ml Day 20: 500 ml I’m keeping a close eye on the plant and hope to overcome these challenges successfully.

So These girls are doing great in my unprofessional opinion lol. they all look like they could use a cleanup but man if I come at them again like Sweeny Todd I don't think they will make it haha. This is rolling into week 3 so I'm going to wait just a couple of days and then I'm going to hard Lolipop and defoliate just a wee tad more. I'm just worried I could herm one out and I don't really know what to do with that situation. I've been playing around with Great White and that's been fun but aside from that, I'm just weaving these tops through squares. those corners could be a problem but let me know in the comments if you think I need additional light in the center or your thoughts. OH, I ALMOST FRGT LOL! so I mixed microflora and aqua flakes B together and the plants might have sat in that while I cried for an hour over the hundreds in nutrients I just ruined lol. She started out tiny but definitely surprised me halfway through. She doesn't really smell as a plant but in the jars and paper bags, she smells like berries and watermelons. Only been a week since I dried her in the fridge but I can't wait so I'm going to try to smoke some of her tonight. I also had to harvest partially as some of the lower buds are not quite ready yet which means I'm not done yet as of now. Will update more soon.

Do-Si-dos autoflower is doing okay. She develop some spots upon getting into the solution. I think it is a little strong. She had her first lst, and defoliation today. The ph and everything has been very stable. Nothing else to report at the moment. 9/5 PREVENTATIVE SPRAY OF 1TBSP POTASSIUM BICARBONATE AND 1/4 TBSP DAWN TO TREAT WPM. Foggy this morning and rained again last night. Weather hasn't been the greatest. Not seeing much PM unless it advanced so much that it just killed all the leaves. I still have yellowing leaves that die. It's probably septoria and I probably should've used a copper fungicide but I'm in flower. Ice cream cake and a couple seedlings are far behind but everything else seems like it will finish. This weather has been getting me down. I may feed later today or I might wait until tomorrow. I also need to add a few more supports. Wet buds are heavy. I'm getting there. Slowly but surely. 9/6 FED TWO GALLONS TO GARDEN PLANNED TO USE BEASTIE BLOOM BUT COULD ONLY FIND CHA CHING. Rained heavy all night. I came back to hanging branches but no damage. I added some supports quickly and tied up a hanging branch. Ran a couple strings across the frame but I have more work to do. I took some pics and a video. At least now I'm seeing buds. Walking down there is like getting slapped in the face with a wet bud (which happened today). It's a super strong smell. Trichomes are developing at various stages. This is when things get paranoid but it's also fun. I can't wait until fall. 9/7 Plants we're wet this morning so I gave them a good shake. Defoliated what needed it and added a couple more supports. I don't like these leaves falling like this. Didn't have time to work on the ice cream cake that's growing into the fence. Now it's a race with the weather. Things are looking pretty good but I'm getting antsy. Also I'm not sure what caused all this weird damage from earlier and if I should just cut off useless branches. I'm hesitant as I don't want to create an open wound for more fungal infections. 9/8 Rained like crazy. Super heavy at times. I added a video I took yesterday. and took some pictures. Defoliated some dead stuff but it's hard to work in the pouring rain. Forecast said three inches. Plants are booming thoughgh 9/9 Still raining. Hard. No damage. Defoliated what I could and added supports where needed. I do need to say the plants I'm growing are some resilient girls. They've taken a beating and come back kicking butt. If we can get a few good days in a row shit will really start taking off. Need to spray BT and do another k bicard spray or switch it up with peroxide. I've checked the tops of my plants with a ladder and things look good so far. I'm super excited. 9/10 Poured like crazy. I fucked my diary up a bunch of times so I'll probably have to upload vids/pics again. Cannabis gods heard my cries and at noon time it's all sunshine. Was able to defoliate what needed it. Plants are just exploding. I'll do pics tomm. BT and K Bicarb spray needed. YEAH IM MISSING A BUNCH OF PICS AND A VIDEO. WILL HAVE TO FIX LATER 9/11 Beautiful sunny day. Found my beastie bloom and fed two gallons to the garden. I started low but I'll increase if it seems to benefit. Continued with only 1tbsp of grow big. Then if I like it I'll move on to cha ching. One plant will be ready VERY shortly. I took out my scope to check things out. In the bright sun ours easy to spot little pm patches. Oh well. I'll spray tonight. Everything looks so amazing. Also found more moth eggs it's time for a BT spray. Defoliated and added more supports as it's windy af out here
