Gone until Saturday so they’re back on the auto watering setup. Franco is leading the pack in terms of pure frost, The Queen leads in color, and the blue and amnesia tie for smell. These are good times haha. Cheers to a nearby harvest

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ As I wrote in last weeks update this one will be a bit bigger and contain more photos. The plants were coming along nicely but the were to big for their tiny pots and showed some root stress. I transplanted them into 9 Liter AirPots which I had laying around from an old project. The substrate is a 70/30 mix of Canna Coco Professional and Peligran Perlite from Knauf. I love this stuff. You basically can't overwater it. I sprinkled the root balls with some Mycotrex from Biotabs (Mycorhizzae) Tbh I wast just too lazy to buy new fabric pots so I thought why shouldn't I use these old AirPots :-) We'll see how they perform. I also placed the plants in their "final" habitat which is a 120x120 (4×4 for my imperial friends ;-) and from now on they get fed by my beloved DIY-Ebb and Flow system. I built this 10 years ago and it's still a charm to have. Once a day the plants will get "flooded" with nutrient solution from a 200 L (52 gallon) tank below. Unfortunately this also means I can't tell you how much nutrient solution they received anymore as they just take as much as they need. This tent is climate controlled by an AC Infinity controller 69 so I should be able steer them way better. I try to keep them at a VPD of around 1.2. I have my AC set to 22°C (~71°F) and my humidifier keeps the tent around 62%. Offtopic: I had to evict a big Lemon Orange Mom to make space for the 4 Humboldt girls. I will have to cut her back in the next days. Upcoming: I'm going to top them in the next few days I will try to keep the tops as potential mothers if I hit the DNA lottery :-). My question for you this week: With which substrates and watering systems have you messed around so far and what did you like the most? Please tell me in the comments

This they popped after 2 days of being in the soil. They’re stretching but not too much. I have a fan blowing against the wall in my 2x2 grow tent. I have the phlox on 2x4 grow light on the lowest level 18” above the plant with an avg temp of 75 & RH of 47%.

Grow Report — Week 6 From Seed (12/12 From Seed · Early Flower / Week 2 Flowering Transition) Quick Recap (for new joiners) This is a 12/12-from-seed run, now entering Week 6 from seed, which we can comfortably call early flower / second week of flowering transition — though we don’t obsess over labels. We follow the plants, not the calendar. Two plants, two approaches: • Plant A: Metal clips + harder structural training, with a short 18/6 period earlier on, plus LST • Plant B: Pure 12/12 from seed, gentle LST and leaf positioning only Both plants are now fully in flower mode, no doubt about it, just expressing it differently, which is expected and welcomed. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Update • Day temperature: ~28°C (successfully raised) • Humidity: ~65% Even though it’s still a bit cold outside, increasing plant mass, higher lighting intensity, and added under-canopy lighting have turned the tent itself into a stronger and more stable heat source. This allowed us to stabilize conditions naturally, without forcing anything — exactly how we like it. Lighting & Atmosphere • PPFD: ~600–850 (depending on plant size and position) • CO₂: ~900 ppm Airflow • Unchanged and dialed in • Vortex extraction • Cross-winds with multiple fans • Constant, gentle movement across the canopy The goal remains the same: fresh air, no stress, no stagnation. ⸻ 💧 Feeding & Nutrition Strategy This week marks an important and intentional nutritional transition. • EC: 2.4 • pH: 6.5 From this point forward, all feedings will be pH 6.0 and above. Why? As flowering progresses, nutrient uptake priorities shift. A slightly higher pH improves the availability of key elements needed for bloom development, and the plants are clearly asking for it. Nutrient Change • Introduced: Terra Bloom — 5 ml/L • Removed: Terra Grow This switch is happening now, not earlier, because the plants have clearly entered the flowering transition. No rush, no shock — just listening to plant signals and responding accordingly. The current Plagron-based approach continues to perform exceptionally well, and plant response has been outstanding so far. ⸻ 🌿 Plant Behavior & Training Notes Both girls are looking amazing, each in their own way. • The metal-clip + harder-trained plant looks structured, composed, and confident • The pure LST plant is expressive, vigorous, and stretching beautifully The plant that experienced a short 18/6 period is currently smaller, noticeably so — which is interesting and worth observing. Not better, not worse — just different. Different light histories, different training styles, different expressions. This is exactly why side-by-side approaches are so valuable. Both plants are: • Healthy • Actively flowering • Responding positively to the environment and nutrition Plant A — Canopy Management Note This was also the week where a light, selective defoliation was performed on Plant A to open the canopy slightly and improve light penetration. She is clearly more advanced in flower development, visually closer to what would normally be considered around day 21 of flowering, and the timing felt right. Only larger, blocking leaves were removed — no stripping, no stress — just enough to: • Improve airflow • Expose developing flower sites • Support her more advanced flowering pace The plant responded calmly and confidently, confirming that the intervention was well-timed and appropriate. They’ve also been in and out of the studio for photos — and they handled it like champions. The in/out space continues to work perfectly. ⸻ 🔮 What to Expect (and What Not to Expect) What to expect: • Continued flower set and structural definition • Stretch management through positioning, not force • Gradual increase in flower density as nutrition settles in What NOT to expect: • No aggressive defoliation • No forced stress techniques • No chasing numbers just for the sake of it This run is about clarity, observation, and respect for plant rhythm. ⸻ 🙏 Final Words A big thank you to: • New joiners discovering this run • Old souls following along quietly • The curious, the critical, the lovers, the haters • Sponsors, supporters, and the wider community Every set of eyes matters. Every perspective adds value. More updates soon — this was Update 1, and we’ll be back after more time with the girls. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. 2018-04-03 Week 14 Day 1 Not much to say, there isn't much drama going on in growroom 2, the only things I do is giving them water and nutes 2 - 3 times/week and making sure that the lamp don't burn the girls. I gave them 4 liters today, and since they live in smartpots I can see when the pot gets wet when watering the girls, but you could hardly notice that. They are getting thirsty 😛 The flowers are developing very good, they look really healthy and their colors are fine. Crazy Cookies nr 1 is 66 cm Crazy Cookies nr2 is 52 cm 2018-04-04 Raised the lamp to it’s highest level and turned all girls 1/4 turn, it’s really hard to get in to the ladies in the back, I need to push the girls up against the walls on each side and crawl on the floor to be able to turn them and give them water/nutes. Damn these plants, why do they have to grow and become so BIG?! 😆💪 Added a new video, enjoy my SoG 😄 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Strain information: The word synergy is a business term first quoted in the early eighties to describe mutual enhancement through interaction or cooperation, where the end result gained is greater than the sum of the parts used. What do synergy and the Crazy Cookies cannabis strain have to do with each other you may well ask? The parents of the forthrightly indica Crazy Cookies are marijuana royalty. OG Kush and Girl Scout Cookies. These strains of contemporary legend have been combined to cerebrum shattering effect. The cured flowers deliver a mouth-watering and couchlocking 24% THC. The initial delectable spacey upbeat onrush compliments of the Durban Poison coursing through the genes of the Cookies soon becomes a lush and rich, inescapably delicious body flux. There should be a picture of a Crazy Cookie nugget in the dictionary next to the word synergy. Crossing the OG back into the Cookies has amplified the psychoactive effects of the notorious lineage of both parents. This is an indica with a capital I. As a breeder it would be fair to assume that injecting more OG into the Cookies would result in an OG-dominant Cookie, or even close to a pure OG, but something else has happened. Some long dormant genetic switch has been flipped and a standalone indica has emerged whose spicy notes and earthy tones, hints of grape and horny pheromone are an absolute pleasure. Paying this breed some careful attention as it grows will reward you substantially, indoors or out. Typical hybrid vigour is shown throughout each grow phase. Stout plants to 80cm can be expected indoors and muscular examples with fluted stalks growing to two metres can be easily achieved outdoors. Good bracing is necessary as the flowers mature. With more than 500g at harvest per robust plant, colas can easily snap and twist branches. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

it's always a pleasure to do business with Barney's Farm!!! They have never let me down even once!! Even in the worst situations and conditions they have always been able to bring out the best for me!! I really enjoyed forcing these plants to see their reactions, but I wouldn't do it again as a technique because it only serves to keep the canopy low but not to increase the yields...or...at least in my case I didn't find it of fundamental importance....maybe a simple cut of the apical top and that was it! but that's fine!😋

Day 127 - Watered/fed today. About 180 oz of water given, with 1/2 tsp Bloom, 1/2 tsp Mag Pro per gallon. It is anticipated that this is the last feed, and will be given water only, the next 2-3 feeds before harvest, to flush/fade the girl (come on autumn colors!). I happened to be searching a couple buds and found my first 3 amber trichs on a calyx. The final countdown has begun! Day 128 - Nothing to note, I was lucky to be around enough to get the photo. Day 129 - I feel like there has been some new calyx development over the last few days, but I am still going with my plan to flush 2-3 times before a harvest. I feel like if I was properly set up, and honestly stocked with current flower, I could probably let this thing go another 3 weeks (rookie grower thoughts), but I am still looking to harvest in 10-12 days. Talking to a few different people, ran a few ideas past me, but I think I am going with my plan for this first grow. Someone mentioned one more big bloom feed before a flush, but I think I'm just ready to be done feeding. The idea of 24 hours of darkness before harvest to 'boost trichs' was brought to me by another person, and I am still unsure of my thoughts on that plan. Day 130 - The 'flush' has begun. Today the plant was given 2 gallons of water, which is almost 50% more than was given with feed, as she had been getting 180oz or so of water. You can really tell the difference in the amount of runoff! Lets see how long she takes to really show a fade. Day 131 - I got nothing for today. Snapped a pic and bolted out of the house. Day 132 - Again, sadly, I got nothing for today. A picture and out the door. Day 133 - 11 weeks of flower are down. She was watered today, with another 2 gallons of water only. I added a small amount of new Mother Earth Coco Peat to the pot, in my mind, just to ensure that she doesn't fade out too quickly. Probably a bit unnecessary and may not help, but I did it anyways :) I originally planned on chopping likely at the end of this weekend, but I might see if she can hold out 2 more water only feeds, and chop next Thurday-Friday, at the end of the 12th week. I keep checking a few buds with the loupe, and still can barely find any amber, but also don't see any clear trichs. Either way, I am going to be anxious for this last week to finish up, then the real test of waiting will come, hanging and curing!

Day 59, 1st of October 2020: All good CBD blue shark is bushy.... she will get 36 hours darkness in the end of the week so stars flowering. Purple Punch is basically ready but i want more amber trichomes let her maturing a bit more i think 1 week. I keep checking on her. Day 60, 2nd of October 2020: Alright so time has come; she needs to start flowering. Look at her the last picture (Day 60)📷 before I place her for 54 hours darkness I mean 17:00 o'lock on (today) Friday to 23:00 o'clock on Sunday. Can I count well? so ... 17:00 o'clock to 23:00 o'clock is 6 hours (23:00 o'clock lamp switches on) and next Saturday 23:00 o'clock is 24 hours and one more 24 hours is Sunday 23:00 o'clock 🤪 so 24+24+6 = 54!!!!! Yes!🤪🤪🤪 I have never been good at mathematics 🙃 Okay so I gave her a lot of water and also sprinkled the soil with bat guano before i put her in darkness. I added more nitrogen because she seems to be very hungry for that again and put her to 💤 😴 🛏️. So let's start flowering say goodbye and see you soon 😊 Day 62, 4th of October 2020: Here we go I took her out after 48 hours just to take pictures 📷 Flowering has started so from now the lamp switches on 23:00 o'clock and it works till 11:00 o ⏰ . Let's see how she streches and go crazy :) Photos are uploaded. The nice neon-green tops are appeard like always after leaving them in darkness :)

Hello. This is the end of week 12 and the beginning of week 13 of veg.. It's mostly going good here. I'm still a little concerned about Plant #6. It's still a little lighter green that the others. I tested the rain water I've been using and it's ph is 6.8 so I don't think that's the problem. The rest of the plants look good. I'll test the soil ph next. I'll get a kit at the store to see how the soil tests. Might have to flush the plant #6.... We'll see... Still getting down to 8*c at night. Got to have the heat on over night. and the heat sink helps. That's the 40 gallons of water I have in 8 - 5 gallon jugs under the table. It hold the day heat and releases in at night. You can see the white jugs in the pics between the table. I meant to get the top net on last week but I worked on my vegie garden instead. Man those vegie seeds aren't cheap either. OK. Take Care. Chuck.
