Eternity Grow Cup - Week 11 VEG Report This is a pivotal week in our Eternity Grow Cup journey as we wrap up VEG and prepare to transition into FLOWER. Our goal has been to ensure that the plants are thriving and optimized for the next phase. This report will detail everything that took place during this crucial week. Mass Defoliation & Structural Training We began the week with an extensive defoliation session. Every leaf with a stem was removed to clear space for optimal light penetration and airflow. This process was done mostly by hand, clicking them off in the opposite direction of growth, while some stubborn ones were snipped with scissors. By the end, it felt like we had taken out nearly half a kilo of leaves! The room now looks clean, structured, and ready to fill out the ScroggNet. To further enhance the plant structure, branches were attached to the pots, allowing for better horizontal growth. This technique helps maximize canopy exposure and prepares the plants for even light distribution once flowering begins. Defoliation before flowering is a key step as it reduces overcrowding, improves airflow, and sets the plants up for efficient energy use in the next phase. Light Schedule & Adjustments This week, we introduced a subtle but effective light adjustment. While still maintaining an 18-hour light cycle, we initiated a 15-minute delay with the whites, allowing the reds to start first. This gradual shift signals the plants that a change is coming. Similarly, at the end of the light cycle, the whites turn off 15 minutes earlier, leaving the reds on for an extended period. This strategy mimics natural sunrise and sunset, helping the plants transition more smoothly into flowering. Additionally, at the end of the week, we will be implementing 48 hours of darkness before the official flip to flower. This method has worked exceptionally well in past grows, helping plants recognize the transition and encouraging a strong start to flowering. However, it's important to emphasize that this is a personal technique and not a universal rule. Every grower should experiment with different methods to find what works best for their specific environment. Environmental Conditions & Challenges Currently, our temperature is at 27°C with 60% humidity, resulting in a VPD of 1.50. While slightly higher than the ideal for VEG, our CO2 levels are over 1000 ppm, and the light intensity is at 570 PPFD, making it a manageable balance. The solution pH is 5.79 (essentially 5.8), EC is 1.38, and water temperature is 17.7°C. One challenge we are facing is maintaining optimal reservoir temperatures. Currently, it's a bit low at 17.7°C, and we are exploring solutions to raise it slightly. However, the medium temperature sits at 22.2°C, which is a good range. The humidifier is still in use, though it struggles to increase humidity further, so we are working with what we have to keep the VPD in check. ICL-300s Integration The ICL-300 lights are now fully active. Unlike the last grow, where we introduced them later, this time they are on from the start of flowering prep. This adjustment is an experiment to see if the plants respond better to an early introduction. Learning is at the core of this journey, and each grow offers new insights. Whether this proves to be the optimal strategy or not, it will be a valuable lesson for future grows. They were started all around the same time but the zkittlez seems to be the runts of the grow. Can't get them to bush out as good as the sour grape kush. Going to be adding a second light so its more even coverage. They are leaning more than Id like to the middle. Id rather train them in the directions I want so even light coverage coming the from top with a new light should help. Noticed spotting caused by calcium deficiency and supplemented water with calmag and it seems to helping, Also did first top on one of the sour grape kush plants.

The 3rd week was a big one all plants finished stretch period and it was becoming a little wild for a second. I moved 4 of the bigger girls into their own room with their own 1000w LED plus a shared 250w HPS in the center. I will be tying down branches to get flat canopy then each of the 4 will be pushed more towards the center for better light coverage do not mind the setup its not fully there but will be finished before the end of the week. In the main grow room there is a single 1000w HPS cool tube running at 100%. To remove the 4 bigger plants I had to cut the entire trellis off the canopy but will be placing a new layer this week as well. As for nutrients feedings well clearly from the size of these girls you can tell they have been eating. In about 2 weeks I will defoliate one last time and then its them vs. the world til havest. These plants have been running in a veg area for exactly 1 month. There are 9 plants and each plant has tops selected for a total of 27 tops. Once plants were moved into flower location they were trimmed back to the shortest top. Then all bud sites bellow the 2 from top are removed. Plants will begin to exponentially grow. Ill remove bud sites as the plants grow, Removing any lower branches that begin to stray from the main stem by more than 2"

I am back to happy with this strain and not at all worried about yield after taking some tops off two plants at day F48. Not usual for me to stagger a harvest, and also not normal for slurry to finish in week 6, but the trichs didnt lie. Had amber on the top one third of 2 plants, so I cut about 2 dry oz of one plant and 1.5 dry oz off the other. Couldnt tell that the garden has any missing. The larf on these plants is rock solid, and the trich development is out of this world, and an awe every trip to the garden. Fate will decide if I grow this strain again next year, I gifted most of my remaining seeds, I have two left, and one is already owed to a growmie. We shall seeeeeeeee. Monstercropping is a small possible option

Finally flowering something out here 😊 This plant has been more than ready for it Nothing exciting yet. day 3 of flowering light cycle. This plant reeks! (On the left: Blue Cheese) Quite a fast response. Hairs in the crowns already. Cheese is a bit slower so far.

We are starting week 5! It’s incredible how strong she’s growing since entering the pre flowering stage. One week after entering preflower she’s stretching nicely and nearly covered the whole space. After 7days from pre flowering I did another defoliation to improve airflow and focusing on forming potential buds. Week 5 went smoothly and I’m still happy with the results and growing in coco. Looking forward to week 6!

Been feeding each plant with 2 litres once soil has dried out which is roughly 2 feeds a week. The yellowing and brown spots looks like its slowly getting worse even though enough nutes are being used. I have read online this is quite normal to see nitrogen deficiency close to harvest. I know I’m getting close and have been checking the trichomes every day and they seem to still be very clear and none turning orange.

Update: 5 weeks of flowering complete. Gorilla widow started to hermie a bit on the bottom. I made the mistake of not removing enough popcorn buds and they didn’t get any light. I cut them all off the plant and now hoping it doesn’t hermie the rest of plant due to shock. We shall see, no big deal tho. The bigger deal... stayed at my Gf place from Friday- Sunday came back Sunday to find out the ballast for 1000watt had died!!! Ordered a new ballast and it will be here by Wednesday. For now I’m using an old 600 watt cool tube.
