PapaTerps TB SkittleZ Automatic - Bulldog Seeds
Hi all, welcome to another Micro grow diary! As the Strawberry Gorilla is coming close to finishing up, I thought I'd start the germination process for her replacement!
Bulldog are obviously a famous coffee shop brand in the Netherlands, but they aren't known for their seeds, so I decided that this was the perfect opportunity to give one of their genetics a run! Skittlez being one of my favourite strains, I thought it was a perfect place to start, so I picked up a pack from their official site a few months ago and here we are.
She will be grown in a 500ml pot, but first she will be germinated in a starter pot until she's strong enough to be moved into her main grow pot!

Day 1 - seed dropped into a cup of water! She will remain here until a taproot appears 💪🏻
Day 3 - a taproot has appeared, so I have moved her into a starter pot and covered her with a make shift humidity done and placed her into the grow tent!
Day 6 - the seedling has appeared from the soil, with the shell loosely attached and the membrane still wrapped around the starter leaves, so I pushed the shell off and manually pulled from the seedling. Her starter leaves are now exposed to the light and is looking very healthy! I will leave her in her starter pot for a few more days to allow her to strengthen up and develop her root structure, after-which, I will place her directly into her main grow pot, which will be a 1L recycled BioBizz bottle, fashioned into a grow pot 🙏
Day 8 - her starter leaves have opened and her first set of true leaves have started to grow 💪 Another few days and she should be strong enough to move to her main grow pot! 🙏
Day 10 - so far so good! She has been watered with 50ml of water with root juice, pH'd to 6.3 - tomorrow she will be moved into her main grow pot and her journey will begin 🙏🏻
Day 11 - moved into her main grow pot, a 1L recycled BioBizz container with the top removed and holes punched into the bottom and sides 👌🏻 She will remain here for the rest of her journey 🙏🏻

Day 12 - watered with 250ml of RO tap water with defined nutrients, pH'd to 6.3. today is her first day of veg, she is growing her second set of leaves and is looking very healthy.👍🏻 She has been moved into her main grow pot, which is a recycled 1L BioBizz bottle with the top cut off and about 30 holes punched into it, the goal here is to A. try the Bulldog Seed genetics and B. to she what kind of yield I can get with a tall 1L bottle style pot; I had tried a 0.3L pot with great success (in my opinion) and I'm eager to try it again with a slightly larger pot 🙏

Day 19 - watered with 500ml of RO tap water with defined nutrients, pH'd to 6.3. She's growing really well in her new pot! The benefit of this pot so far, is being able to see some of the root structure through the slightly transparent pot, and I can see that they've already reached the bottom of the pot! Her leaves have also stretched well beyond the edges, so I have a feeling she might get quite big 🤞🏻 so far, so good!

Day 26 - watered with 500ml of RO tap water with defined nutrients mixed individually, in order and then pH'd to 6.3. 👌 She's growing well beyond my expectations at this point, almost like she's in a pot four times its size! She has a nice thick main stem and four auxiliary stems, which are all growing vigorously as well as large fan leaves!
I've removed her starter leaves and a couple of the lowest nodes, but other than that, I haven't done much work on her just yet, I haven't planned much either as this is a micro grow, but I might just top her, given she has already produced the side stems; I'll have a think about it.

Day 33 - watered with 500ml of RO tap water with defined nutrients mixed individually, in order and then pH'd to 6.3. I noticed a defitiency on a leaf, so I've increased the CalMag from 0.5 to 1ml/l this week - I also started to introduce bloom nutrients 👍 A lot of work on her this week! At the start of the week, I thought she looked to be getting ready to switch to bloom, so I topped her and removed a few fan leaves; I don't like stressing the plants like that during their stretch phase of bloom! After a couple of days, she started to get bigger and taller and it was clear to me that she had transitioned into bloom and hard started her stretch, so I put four holes into the bottle pot and tied four roles from the holes to each of the four stems and secured them down; I do this, to ensure the four stems grow away from one another, so enough light and air can reach the inner budsites 👌 So yeah, shes a couple of days into her stretch and she is looking so beautiful! I'm really impressed to see a plant grow to this size in such a small pot!!

🚿 watered her twice this week, with 1l of RO tap water with defined nutrients mixed individually, in order and then pH'd to 6.3. I haven't altered her feeding just yet as she is just about to finish the stretching phase of bloom. From next week, these values will start to increase 👍🏻
✂️ No work done on her this week, I tend to limit the work on plants during the stretch phase to reduce the stress put on the pants! I want her to grow to her full potential 🙏🏻
🌸 Her bud sites have started to develop really well, there are four main stems with six side stems each, all of which are developing bud sites with good internodal spacing 🙌🏻 I'm really impressed with this plant!!

🚿 watered her twice this week, with 1l of RO tap water with defined nutrients mixed individually, in order and then pH'd to 6.3. I've increased her bloom nutrients this week, as she is just about to reach "the half way mark" through her flowering cycle! 🙌
✂️ This will I removed the lowest most budsites from her stems, as they were too far from the light to ever fully reach their potential. Her internodal spacing is perfect and she doesn't have a lot of leaves on her, so she hasn't required any more work; I think it will be like this until we see her complete her bulk 👍
🌸 She has completed her stretch and is now focusing on bulking her bud, as I said before, there are four main stems with six side stems each, all of which are developing bud sites with good internodal spacing, and because she hasn't got much foliage, all budsites are getting the light they require to flourish! She's performing way beyond my expectations - I have a feeling that I'll be growing this one again 🙏

🌸 She is focusing on bulking her bud and has doubled her flower volume since last week 💪🏻 She has finally started to release her aroma into the tent, very fruity and candy like - it's all going well so far!

🚿 watered three times this week, with 1.5L of RO tap water with defined nutrients mixed individually, in order and then pH'd to 6.5. I've upped her bloom nutrients as she is now solely focusing on bulking🙌🏻

🌸 Her flower is bulking and growing really well, she has nice tall pointy flower with lots of greens and ambers mixed through, the aroma is is clearly coming through too, very tropical with some grapefruit, not what you'd expect from a zkittlez 😒 but either way, she's doing good 🏻

🚿 Fed three times this week, with 1L of RO tap water with defined nutrients mixed individually, in order and then pH'd to 6.5. I will start to reduce the feeding over the next few days as she transitions I to the final phase of flower and she will need to begin flush 👍🏻
✂️ No work on her again this week, as nothing was required 🙌🏻
🌸 She has finished bulking and her flower is now maturing, with about 50% of her pistils turned amber and her trichomes begining to become cloudy. She will now start her flushing process, where I gradually reduce her nutrients until she is feed with just plain RO tap water, this process will take about two weeks after which, I will harvest her 🙌🏻

Really nice plant, grew really well in her 1L recycled BioBizz nutrients bottle! She produced a little under 60 grams wet, which is solid for a micro grow, and outperformed they two other micro grows by around 10 grams! She was fun to grow, but her genetics are more tropical that Zkittlez, so my search for the best Zkittlez genetics continues... 8/10 so far, with a smoke report to follow

🚿 She has been in flush for the last 10 days, and has received 1.5L of plain RO tap water with no additional nutrients. This is to flush out all nutrients from the soil and to force the plant to use up all of us stored nutrients.
✂️ Today is harvest day, so I've removed all fan leaves and larger sugar leaves and I've performed a wet trim to reduce the foliage on her.
🌸 Her flower has started to change colours and has gone from a relatively light green with a sprinkling of amber, to multicoloured with shades of greens blues ambers and purples! Her aroma is also very present, with strong notes of tropical fruit and candy. He flower contains mostly milky trichomes with some amber and most of her pistils have also turned amber, so she's just about ready for harvest 🎉

Interesting choice! Bulldog may be very well known as a coffeshop chain, but them doing seeds is a whole different approach. I am excited to see how they will pull it off :)
