GMO × Triangle Mints BX – Week 12 Veg | Growth Surge, CalMag Issue Spotted and Corrected She’s responded to the warmer weather exactly as expected. Up to 110cm this week, canopy has spread wide and the branch structure from the earlier LST is really starting to pay off — plenty of well-spaced tops developing underneath. Not all good news though. Mid-canopy leaves started showing interveinal yellowing — classic CalMag deficiency symptoms, traced back to pH drift affecting uptake rather than an actual shortage in the feed. Switched over to CANNA Aqua Vega with added CalMag Agent and dialled in the pH more carefully. Seems to have arrested the issue, at least from what’s visible so far. She’s now running the same feed schedule as the indoor plants — two feeds with full nutrients, one feed plain water. Nutrients: CANNA Aqua Vega 4ml/l, Canna CalMag Agent 1.1ml/l, Aptus Regulator 0.1ml/l. LST ongoing. The forecast ahead is looking like the best stretch of the season so far — temperatures potentially hitting 30°C next week, nights staying mild, winds light. Quick foreword: I hate how Growdiaries does Harvest and Smoke separately and then messes up all the pictures. Please bear with me, I tried to label them all. Wowsers, what a trip this contest grow turned out to be! I am so sorry to submit it one day before the deadline, life got in the way, but the good news is this lovely plant has had a chance to fully cure and she’s been helping me through big changes in my life. Dry weights will be in the Smoke report. I have only input the mother’s dry weight as the total end dry weight. This is because this is a competition diary and the rule is one plant. Consider the clones a successful experiment. They are only here to document how hardy this plant is and how easy she is to clone. Remember, one of the clones was the top of the plant I cut off when topping her before flipping. I usually can never get those to root, but this plant clones very easily! As always, the main plant was dried in a cardboard wardrobe box, modified to have a 5v USB fan extracting air at the bottom. This helps prevent mold but keeps moisture in for a slower dry, which leaves some more terpenes. Drying took around two weeks. Trimming was a pain. I love the smell of this plant, but her lowers are so leafy. If you go back to around the weeks where I flipped, you can clearly see I left too many lower nodes and as a result I had too much of a bush. The Micro DWC experiment ended up surprising me the most. Check out the smoke review for its weight and taste! some people also asked me how far I keep my lights, I don't measure the distance, sorry. I use Photone on iOS and push the ppfd of my plants up to 1000 during flower. The Soil clones and the main competition plant were planted in organic soil from a local garden center mixed with organic fertalizer tablets and worm castings, the clones were in 1L and 3 gallon pots and the main competition plant was planted in a 5 gallon growbag. once the plants ran out of food I fed Plagron's Alga line. the DWC clone used just Plagron Hydro A+B and extra PK 13/14 in flower, this is by far the cheapest and most effective way in my experience, it could be due to lack of skill in organics, but you can clearly see, my DWC plant is frostier than my soil ones, and they're the exact same phenotype. I'll probably be going back to hydroponics, I'm not saying organic isn't the way to go, but for me personally, my skillset and way of growing better fits the artificial nutrients, and as a result my DWC plants flourish. I feel more in control with DWC, I know exactly what's going on in my buckets, whereas with organics I'm often scratching my head in frustration.

All plants very healthy and growing well. I have included some pictures of HST and tucking. I keep it under the screen as much as possible . If I can not easily tuck it under I carefully use Kyle Kushman's technique for partially braking the inside cambium layer with out the damage to the outside. Carefully then twist slightly and the branch will lay down. By this ninth week, all the plants except the GTH x P reached the height of the wire, and at that time I started tucking the new growth back under and kept it there for the most part of the Veg stage. I also fertilized with for the second time with Soils Solution Top Veg

Getting close to that time! Prob just a week or so out letting the trichromes darken up a bit more and going to chop em down! They look amd smell beautiful and I can’t wait to try them!

Day 43. One Blackberry is going for the roof. Both late ones are small and have 33 days to flower .... Ridiculous ... That run shouldn't happen. But I have at least 5 okeish plants and hope to push them with Mars SP3000 as extras, plus first wavers will be starting to fall , so more space and light .... Day 44. Two smallest girls should go and are going. I will create second proper grower this year already ! I gave to this guy 5 Alaskan Diesel seeds for this year to try to grow, but only because of time - I can't finish smallest two - so I will give them for my friend as well. One turn out not so bad from those 3 lategoers , so I hope 30 days of flower will be enough for her ... One Strawberry Banana looks like a magazine cover girl ! Day 46. Yesterday I kicked them out and it was frosty night, both went down , some branches froze ... It will be interesting ... Friend said all 5 girls pop out and he has enough, so I had to find quick space for them ... The rest was rearranged in main grow room. Happy Growing !!!

Phew! She's growing with insane vigor!! She was watered with a 2.5 gallon dosage of de-chlorinated tap water today! The previous 1.5 Gallon dosage was "only"(lol) lasting for 3 days before becoming 90% dry, so I've gone up to max dosage! 2.5 Gallons caused 15% of that water to run-off, out of the bottom of the pot. She will likely dry to 90% again, and be ready for another dosage in 5 days! I'm extremely excited to defoliate her, she's testing my patients! :)

Well things are taking off. Both thickening up nicely. The shorter one is a few weeks ahead of the other. Trichomes are getting some cloudy now. All in all happy with there progress for the week. Still drinking plenty !

Ich habe sie heute umgetopft und etwas Dünger und wurmhumus auf den topf gemacht.Ich gebe Ihnen noch ungefähr 2 wochen um sich im Topf breit zu machen und dann geht es in die Blüte.Ich habe den langzeitdünger bereits jetzt hinzugefügt,damit er mehr zeit hat um in die erde zu kommen. Eine Pflanze hat starke Verbrennungen aus der Hitzewelle. Ihr Wachstum ist stark stagniert und ich hoffe sie erholt sich mit der Zeit.

I counted the days again and came to the conclusion that I have 70 days full and harvested tonight. Enough brown and amber trichomes are also present. I'm excited to see how they taste and pop. They definitely look and smell very good. What's really funny: From the 2-3 week onwards, I turned both TS1000s up to 100% for 18 hours a day. I just wanted to find out my cap. I used around 100kW/h and €40 less in electricity costs. Compared to my last grow with Feminized and 10 weeks of flowering + Veggy. I wouldn't have expected that. Well... let it dry in peace first. bit of a tough week this week had to do some rapid defoliating and lst training to prepare these babies befor i put them into flower didnt realise how quick this strain would grow another week and ill be moving them onto 12/12 very soon

So I think ive sone rhe last stripping and will start the 12/12. Will give ir a week ro recover at that point I'll be switching to the Sensi Bloom plus some additives which will be listed. I know it doesn't look the best bur for my first mainline im pretty happy so far Cheers

15-01-2022: These pictures are made about 2 minutes after lights went on. So still hanging a bit. They look a bit hungry I think so I added some fresh water with Ata Awa Max A/B. Why? What's wrong with Hy-Pro? Nothing, I got lazy and this was literally within reach of my hands. Will see what happens. 19-01-2022: They seem to like the higher EC. Buds are swelling pretty fast now. Since the RH is pretty low I don't expect that to be a problem. Still about 3-4 weeks left so pretty curious about the results :)

Mandarin XL auto just had a solution change today. She looks like she is starting to bulk. She was looking kinda pail and discolored. She was due for a solution change. So hopefully she takes to it well and puts on a lot of weight. Everything has been going well, and nothing more to report.
