Hi guys, what's up? Welcome back to my diaries. My experience with this pheno has been just amazing and I wish I had a ton of these gems by now!Really very resinous, tight and compact buds .... With spectacular colors and aromas that ... mmmmmm already make you dizzy I'm sure we'll re-propose this delicious plant on a large scale!

Diese Woche habe ich beide Pflanzen entlaubt, sodass mehr Licht an die Blüten kommt. Gegossen wurde etwa alle 2-3 Tage und gedüngt nach Herstellerangabe mit 50% Wachstumsdünger und 50% Blütendünger. Beide Pflanzen entwickeln sich gut und ich hoffe es bleibt auch so.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Plants are going great, top dressed and been watering with 1 gallon for all plants. No problems flowering great, couldn’t be easier.

Smell of the plant is amazing. Smells like red Berries. Buds got huge and medium dense. I only harvested the 3 main buds as they are developed the most. The rest of the plant can stay for one more week. I Also removed some dead leaves.

The buds smell very tasty and look very good so I'm really excited. The trichomes are 70% milky and 30% amber. As always, it came to the darkroom 48 hours before harvest :-). There it will now remain after harvesting at 62% humidity for 8-12 days before it is put into the jars for fermentation with 62% boveda packs :-). For sure i will keep this plant in stock. Very different and potent head high with great looking buds and strong flavor.

Not sure why the other seeds didn’t germinate. One of the other Bananacane’s started to but died off upon sprouting

Day 57. I’m going to alternate water only and 50% feed now to finish. All 3 have their own minor issues but nothing of concern I don’t think. Hopefully they continue to swell. Still lots of white pistils. A good 20 days left as yet if the plant lets me push that long.

Day #08 - The seedlings are going pretty well into week #02. This week FloraMicro will be added from General Hydroponics, I've started using this since my last growth. I use the hard water version and I really like it. My plants seem to do definitely better with this nutrient added, so I decided to always use this nutrient together with my other nutrients. I also decided to try the FloraGrow and FloraBloom nutrients from GHE, as I've seen very good results with the nutrient line of GHE. At the end I will also use their Ripen, which gives the plants growth boost in their buds at the end of the blooming phase. Day #09 - I decided to give the ladies a little more water, so I raised the water amount to 0.25 liters per day. Further on, everything is going very well! Day #11 - The little ladies are going ver, very well if you ask me... Growing like a charm, at the end of the week I must be able to top them without any problem. Day #14 - I wanted to top the girls, but I decided no to do that, as not all the plants have reached the right height. So topping is postponed until tomorrow.

Off to another great start, with feeding can’t wait to see what adventures these girls will test my learning knowledge in this hobby I’m enjoying!!

This week has been a pleasure. After frayed nerves trying to get the auto pots working properly (using organic nutes some of which you are not supposed to use in a reservoir because they can ferment and go bad due to the natural ingredients like fish or seaweed) I have managed to find a rhythm. The plants are drinking a lot now. 50 litres per 24hrs between 7 of them. That’s like just over 7 litres a day each plant! Humidity is higher now around 66% I leave the door open a lot to let the humidity calm down a bit. Bud development is going really well and they are puffing up every day more. I hve added bud candy to my reservoir to see what results that brings as I was recommended by a friend. I know people talk shit about advanced nutrients but I have never used them so will make up my own mind. Stay Tuned!!!
