Excited to see seed germ, then they have taken to soil. Its like being a parent all over again I just want them to flourish lol. Need to get my vent sorted and my humidity down gradually but going well. Few issues with a stuck seed shell. Stumpy will and is getting some extra help. DIY C02 is working a treat too šŸ‘šŸ‘

D33 (24/12/2020): First week of flowering. Both officially went into flower 4-5 days ago but I decided to finish the week before starting first flower week. I fed around 3L of water today, they were thirsty. I mixed full recommended dose of nutrients for last week of veg in 1,75 gal. of water. I want to go slow in reintroducing nutrients after 2 flush last week. - temp: 25C - water: approx. 3L per plant, PH6.4. 600 PPM - run off: 900 PPM for Banana Kush and 800 PPM for Glue Gelato - RH: 54% D34 (25/12/2020): Nothing special today except that it's Christmas, everything is going well. RH is higher today since higher temperature where I live but nothing crazy. - temp: 25C - no water - RH: 58% D35 (26/12/2020): I removed leaves under canopy today and fed with a gallon of water + minerals each plant. - temp: 25C - water: approx. 3,75L per plant, PH6.8, 350 PPM - run off: 750 PPM for Banana Kush and 600 PPM for Glue Gelato - RH: 55% D36 (27/12/2020): I readjusted some ties because they are stretching like crazy! The buds are forming and more pistils are showing. - temp: 25C - no water - RH: 53% D37 (28/12/2020): Still readjusting the ties and removed leaves today. The lights are now at 24 inch and plants receive around 495-525 PPFD (38 0000 to 40 000 lux). I'm aiming to go above 600 PPFD in the next week. I will check how they react with more light. - temp: 24C - no water - RH: 54% D38 (29/12/2020): I gave approx. 3.5 L of water per plant. I used 3/4 of the recommended dose for transition week. - temp: 25C - water: approx. 3.5L per plant, PH 6.4, 720 PPM - run off: 900 PPM and PH6.8 for Glue Gelato; 800 PPM and 6.8PH for Banana Kush - RH: 54% D39 (30/12/2020): Removed more leaves under canopy. - temp: 25C - no water - RH: 54%

I'm cutting the nutes big time trying to get to 300ppm and I'll start flushing, main cola starting to show a purple reddish hue through the buds and sugar leaves, looks lovely just wondering should I be worried Update: reducing nutes still before flush, some buds going slightly purpley/reddish colour, still looks great just wondering what could be

Total days above ground: 63 Total flower nights: 24 Just beyond 3 weeks into flower and the plants are showing their potential. The Mountaintop Mint has made great strides but is still a lanky bitch. I had to HST every branch, and may need to bend a couple more down before vegetative growth abates. Not a fan of this growth pattern and still unhappy about 2 out of 9 seeds providing a viable outcome. The bright side is that yield should be fine given the plethora of bud sites. Despite being difficult to grow next to other plants, I feel much better about its prospective outcome than I did just 1 week ago. That whole "crazy shit can happen in flower" thing rings true, again. Overall the canopy has filled in nicely. I have a couple spots where light is wasted and I'll make some adjustments to the process to fix that for future grows. Now that I've settled on plant size and number of plants, improvements can be made each cycle until it's clockwork. I like the 12-cola vs 8 cola experiement. I've got a fairly long list of edits to make to various sections of my "bible," which means I liked the outcomes of most of my incremental adjustments. Continual, systematic improvement in action... One other incremental change on the docket but not yet realized will be dropping nutrient concnetration once vegetative growth ends. Exact timing will be based on what I see in the foliage. I see some minor tip curl and its a bit darker than I want. So, it may come sooner than later. This'll be something I tweak over the next few grow cycles until I'm happy with the late-flower health. I'll drop fertilizer concentration 10-15% on next refill and see how that plays out. It'll take a couple refills of reservoir to near 100% transition without draining it. If necessary, I'll drain and do a full refill for more pressing needs. A rez scrub before final stretch is coming, regardless. Side note: The impacts of VPD can be enormous. Last year (2025-2 diary) I had a humidifier wick get fouled and RH dropped while VPD spiked for more than a few days, thinking I could power through or that the canopy would soon provide more moisture. Nope, growth stalled in a significant way. By comparing day 34-42-49 of 2025-2 and day 38-42-49 of this diary, I can see a huge difference in growth at same point above ground. The consitency with which i do things makes it fairly certain it's the extende period with extremely high VPDs that caused the difference. Also, interesting that it mostly catches back up by completion of third week of flower. The size difference is nearly undone by this point, though 2025-2 took 4 days longer vege phase to get there. Even so, I still think this grow is more than 4 days ahead of 2025-2 (the difference in vegetative phae duration). Time will tell if the development is ahead of the pace in 2025-2 or whether it's simply mostly an offset due to a less efficient vege phase for 2025-2.

Day 51, 9th of November 2021: Hi there! Here we go the second week of flowering. This is the time really not much to say apart from the strech they are going through. Especially Spilff's Strawberry šŸ“ she is crazily doing it. Not much changed maximum a bit more water intake for them. I could write āœļø review each of them but nothing significant happening it is the transition stage anyways. So rather just post the current settings and facts basically it is just the same like last week when it started. ViparSpectra XS2000 is on full power which is 240W so 100% capacity. Ventilation is different as well under the 12 hours period when the lamp is on it switches 1 hours on and after one hour off mostly to keep the temperature and of course because of fresh air flow. When the lamp is off it switches on in every 2 hours for 15 min at the same time with the extraction fan. The extraction fan is on 12 hours when the lamp is, and then it switches on in every 2 hours for 30 min. That's all a bit more water for them from today also. Humidity quite the same approx 50%, temperature as well approx 26-27 Celsius. Fertilization remains the same since last week, the BioBizz family raised up to be 2ml/L each so it is like 2ml/L of BioGrow, 2ml/L of BioBloom, 2ml/L of TopMax... see the ratio above. The schedule of the fertilization has not changed happnes 2x a week except epsom salt just 1x a week.

Good week loads of growth, its getting as tall as I can handle so hopefully not too much more height. I have started the bloom nutes and stopped feeding grow but ill keep the root stim for a week or 2 more. I've been taking leaves gradually as they block out light but trying to keep plenty. It's drinking loads and looks nice an healthy flowers are coming in nicely can't wait to see some frost and the buds start to fatten. Happy smoking 🚬

This grow was incredible—hands down the most enjoyable in years! The harvest may not be massive as I’m still fine-tuning my system, but it’s more than enough for me. The aroma is phenomenal, absolutely mouthwatering, and brought tears to my eyes while trimming. I’m thrilled to taste the final product!

I think then the growth rate will explode generatively exponentially high... The Sweet Seeds girls should be ready soon, which means their last PK tea and then only gentle watering. Today finally arrives my Sweet Seeds shipment "Jealousy Z XL" from Spain... I think that my crowning debut will be in my new Homebox Ambient XL yes !!

This week shows a lot of stem growth as well as the presence of some clones! Too excited about how big the girls are getting have a feeling they are going to be getting bigger at a fast rate at this point. I am still keeping them on the same nutrient and light schedule at the moment. I have a lot more pictures and videos this week because lets be honest I am still getting the hang of this thang!

Greetings my dear Jungletamers, So a major surprise came when @MarsHydroLED contacted us and asked if would like to try out their new SP 3000 light. Being a fan of Mars Hydro for years, we of course accepted their offer. We are totally in love with this light. I was when I saw it in another grower's setup and was in awe of its output and results. So with much pride and thankfulness for the presents the Universe bestowed on us, in the form of MarsHydroLEDS offer and the bountiful harvest of the last grow, (which I am thoroughly enjoying btw, such a great weed to have grown ourselves) we start out on a new adventure that we can't wait to share with you. With many lessons learned from the previous grow, a mighty producing strain in the form of Expert Seeds Gorilla Glue #4, a.k.a Expert Gorilla's and a tweaked super soil mixture, we are setting out to hopefully get over a gram per watt, preferably 1.5. The Setup A 4.5 (140 cm) x 2(70) x 6.2 (200) grow tent, giving me a .98 m2 workspace. This space is customized to my needs. A standing fan will provide airflow through the whole grow, a top fan will help guide cooler air past my lights onto the grow. 3 56 ltr pots will be the home for the plants when they are 2 weeks old, up to then in smaller jars. The Light The leading role and star of the show will be played by the Mars Hydro SP-3000, so kindly provided by MarsHydroLED, which we will test and review here and I might say, endorse. I'm very careful with who I endorse and support these days, but a company with that many wins in design, I'm talking ever since their first range came out in 2009 these guys have been raising the bar for the whole industry, I did not hesitate to support this leading brand. If you want to compete with these guys, you better bring some quality AND affordable pricing. Why do I endorse the SP-3000 without ANY hesitation? It is seriously THE BEST light on the market in this price range and size group. It has an enormously effective output in U/Mol and with 30% less energy waste comparing to older LED lights. Prove me wrong! And with a company holding a considerable market share selling thousands of units every month, competing on price and quality, one would think that customer service would suffer. Of course, also Mars Hydro is not perfect, but check the sheer amount of people that not only praise the light but also the service received, should the light somehow not perform up to par. It is this dedication to their customer base that made this company have a fanbase... Yes, a fanbase with a website and a wiki. So if you are looking to buy new lights, check out the END OF SUMMER OFFER at the Mars-Hydro Global Store on Aliexpress: https://marshydroled.aliexpress.com/ šŸ‘ˆ Check their offers but also their score, they ship from a warehouse near you so you don't have the extra import fees!! Cut out the middleman and have a deal on these lights!! At the moment I write this in August 2021, the lights are 408,20 euro when sent from Germany to the rest of Europe, that's 40 euro cheaper than the other Mars outlets, BUT EVEN 60 euros cheaper than ordering at a grow store!! The Strain: Experts Seeds - Expert Gorilla feminized regular. Don’t let the name fool you because Expert Gorilla is suitable for growers of any skill level. However, you do need to be an experienced smoker because Expert Gorilla is one of the most potent strains on the market. Lineage: Chem Sis x Chocolate Diesel x Sour Dubb Popularity: Extremely Popular Flavor/Aroma Profile: Chocolate, Earthy, Fuel Yield: 400 g/m2 Stress Tolerance: High resistance to disease Potency: 24% THC Flowering time: 58 - 63 days The Soil: Those who saw my Monstercropped Gelato #33 grow (you should see it if you didn't, I'm so proud of that grow), know about my super soil and organic nutrients/ permaculture tea combo that starred in my previous diary. Because of the great results, we are going to use the same recipe, adjusted some more with some new ingredients that will complete the mix and give an even more sustained super soil buffer. 20% Atami Bi-grow (very similar to ocean forest) 20% Atami worm castings 20% Atami Coco Coir 10% Hydrocorn 10% Peat powder 1 cup Fossil seaweed chalk 1 cup bonemeal 1 cup bloodmeal 1 cup Microlife 3-4 teaspoons of epsom salt 3 cups of activated biochar (activated with our own permaculture tea) I just made layers, starting with hydro corn on the bottom to aid airflow/run-off. On this I started layering the coco coir, Bi-grow, peat, castings, and amendments in a way that the more mature the plants get, the more phosphorous and less nitrogen they will find. Every time I made three layers, I would mix them by hand. This way we simulate natural soil, which consists of humic layers, composting plant waste, fungal and microbial life, and nutrients from fossilized sources. The Nutrients I will start with just adding 6.4 PH water, although this soil should buffer ph itself and regulate, after 4 weeks, I'll slowly be adding: - Biobizz Grow - Plagron Alga Grow - Biobizz CalMag - Biobizz Flower - Plagron Alga Flower - Biobizz Topmax - Melasses The Tea Some of you might remember the permaculture tea from my previous grow, I have a short video in my harvest page showing how we make it), it will star again in this grow. - (Rain)water - Comfrey (whole plants) - Dandelion leaves - Roots and leaves from the earlier grow - Minor periwinkle (Finca minor) is a plant we have in our garden, it contains an alkaloid that is associated with increased brain function but also is a light toxin for wee beasties and other unwanted guests like gnats (who hate it). - When flowering I add some wood ash to this mix Thank you for checking in on one of my grows again! Thanks for all the love on my previous grow, check it out if you haven't seen it!! Hug Bud
