With great joy I will start my second season growing cannabis. I hope to learn from some small mistakes from the first season where I was surprised by my performance as a first-time sailor cultivating the BlueDream strain. This season I left the 4 seeds of GorillaGlue 36hrs in a pot of water to break the dormancy. After that I used the napkin technique for more 42 hrs. So I put each one in a 5-gallon airpot, as they are automatic and go to harvest in the same pot. After 24hrs in the vase the first 2 little leaves came out. I made a homemade dome with a 2-gallon water bottle, cutting it into strips and lining it with plastic with some holes to keep the humidity high during this initial phase. We entered the first week of cultivation and unfortunately due to an oversight I got confused in the fertilizer table and clearly the dreaded overfert happened. I did a watering only with water to try to remove the excess fertilizer let's hope it works.

Week 11 - Venom OG and an unknown seed strain. Tap water and Espoma Bloom full dose - 12hr light schedule

The seeds were extremely old and kept in very bad conditions. I lost about 6 in germination to get these 4 which actually sprouted (I have a lot of regular bud seed). I cannot confirm the purity of Purple haze, but is is definitely at least half.

The plants are happy and on cruze control. Apart from daily defoliation I'm just letting them do their thing. No nutrients or boosters have been added this week🤙 Ok and still contending with bladdy LOAD SHEDDING !!!!!! 2-4 hours of electricity turned off by Eskom NATION WIDE!!! I'm currently sitting in the pitch dark tying this🤙 Google it.. totally sucks

She stretched almost an inch in 6 days maybe more it's truly amazing and this cropsalt stuff is no joke I'll literally challenge anyone to use it by direction and not see why it's the best!!! PERIOD!! other then that she is drinking alot more and eating steadily more as well, I am going to cut clones by this week or next and then start that GD foenthe large tent, this girl is fairing really well considering the home conditions I have with her but otherwise she has been absolutely a breeze to grow!!! Hi Gromies, well sometimes I can be my own worst enemy seems I defoliated ( actually I'll blame the apprentice Urban grow cat 😺) He defoliated a little to much, it's hard to get good help these days! Anyway she got a bit of light burn directly under light bulb area. A mix of to much defoliation & I also turned light up to super lumen setting & being lazy I hadn't hooked the extraction fan & ducting up to the light ( it's an air cooled light shade) pump air from outside tent through sealed light shade & exhaust it outside. I hooked that up & raised the light around 20 cm & all is good now, some burnt leaves. She is bouncing back & grown more leaves. It may have slowed Bud development a little! I changed light cycle to 12.5 hours of darkness 11.5 hrs on to try & kick her into gear , fool her into thinking the season is coming to an end with shorter daylight hours. I may increase dark period a little more bit by bit, experiment a little, I've read of other growers who give plants less light around week 6 till harvest. She is getting a faint lemony smell. Lollipoped some of the smaller secondary branches, any tips low down not receiving much light & don't look like they will get much bigger, other than that I'm leaving her alone, probably just try & seperate any close growing colas so we don't get any Bud rot. Day 49 - Still giving the ladies just PH water with no nutrients trying to see if I can fix whatever is wrong with them😅 All in all the White Widow & Orange Sherbet plants I took individual pictures of are growing great & should have a pretty nice yield! UPDATE - Thurs 4th March The week has been fine. I am going there today so you may get an update this evening. Iv been posting on TheWeedTube also so I have much more videos explaining what’s going on. Plants are looking great. I got paid today so I bought an online fan to plug into the thermostat and pull fresh air in through a duct from a cooler part of the flat. In summer it won’t be as useful but to be honest I’ll probably just duct tape the sucky end of the duct to a small ac or Friday type thing, iv not really looked into it yet. Even a hillbilly cooking system would be better than nothing. ( filling a bucket up with ice, water and salt and put the end of the duct into that so it sucks in the cold air). We’ll see! Update - Monday 8th March All is well, I just want the buds to start swelling now. I found some awesome supports in Aldi. They are metal rings that the plant weaves through and has spikes that go into the pot rather than a scrog net being fixed in place. Therefore I can still move them and drain the run off.

Hey guys! 👏 Hope everyone is doing well! This week was interesting. I made a small flush because I wanted to know how much salt my plants had in the soil (considering I've fed my plants with a lot of nutrients the past few weeks) aaaaand the results were quite interesting! They obviously had tons of salts! Here are the results of the runoff water: Falco 5.94 pH 1139 ppm (2278 us/m) Max 5.85 pH 2352 ppm (4704 us/m) Roko 5.64 pH 2453 ppm (4906 us/m) Boomer 5.72 pH 1765 ppm (3530 us/m) Surprisingly enough the plants that had the "worst" runoff values were the plants who had the most foliage and their leaves were the greenest. The pH "loss" of all the plants was also within the expected margin so that's good! 👌 The buds look beautiful and I also noticed some of the plant leaves are starting to turn purple 😍 the smell is also getting stronger and it's quite citric, I love it!
