Starting to flush both Royal Jacks. The first day pouring 20L each plant and now wait for at least 3 days to soil get a little bit dry. Using tap water in the process. The Royal Dwarf still getting bigger and ticker, I'll give her one or two more weeks before flushing her. On the other hand, the Northern Light looks 3 or 4 weeks behind whats makes me believe that seed was a photoperiod. I was a little concerned about her but now I can bet that she'll be given the biggest harvest between all them.... let's wait to see.

Back to the 1000 wt as temps here are modest for July atm. Still 1 plant not flowering like the other 2. I will be patient as it’s overall structure looks amazing. Slowly easing into the process not as much anxiety about every little thing. Changed my light out for my lower power 600 wt led instead of the 1000wt TMLAPY. Maybe not the right move i really don't know what to do b/c i have tip burn and my tent gets a bit hot in the low 80s when its in the 90s here in Illinois. I have an makeshift cooler w fan and some fans and my exhaust fan system which im pretty sure is under powered and overall and bad beginner purchase. I will upgrade as soon as i can financially afford to. Also had flooding issues in basement which is always an adventure, i eventually need a better way to get my grow tent up off the ground b/c water does get in there sometimes. Doing everything in my power to avoid mold and have fans and filters and cleaning, but again this may have been a beginner mistake and i may have to find a new home for the tent for the next time. Also I definitely had been under watering the girls and came close to one of them dying and have to remove some yellow leaves at bottom, they all look stable now. 1 out of 3 plants has a darker color and looks fuller and healthier w less tip burn but it is shorter only has a couple of hairs where the other 2 are going full on into flowering with so many hairs and growing much taller. Possibly stunted the growth... Anyway the word of the day for this week is TIP BURN. I will submit a question to follow. i recently uploaded a video that should show all 3 plants w the tip burn.

I got rid of bigger leaves, did little bit of stretching. The plant was healthy, let's see how much it will grow in a month before turning lights.

That’s the whole experiment. ⸻ Plant A vs Plant B — Why Two Plants? • Plant A (12/12 from seed) • More compact • Slower early structure • Responds very well to gentle leaf bending and light training • Still stretching and stacking nicely • Plant B (short veg period) • Bigger frame • More developed branching • Further along in flower at the same “seed age” • Took light cleanup / lollipopping better This small veg window made a huge difference in structure and flower progression, and that’s exactly why we’re documenting both. ⸻ ✂️ Canopy Work (No Heavy Defoliation) This week we did selective leaf removal, not a true defoliation: • Opened airflow and light paths • Removed shaded or blocking leaves • Light lollipopping on Plant B only • Plant A kept mostly intact, just leaf bending and spacing Goal wasn’t stress — it was space, airflow, and efficiency. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Update • Day Temp: ~28°C (successfully raised) • Humidity: ~65% • PPFD: ~600–850 (depending on height & position) • CO₂: ~900 ppm (now stabilizing around 909 ppm) As outside temps stayed cooler, the room naturally became its own heat source: • Increased plant mass • Higher light intensity • Under-canopy lighting added No forced heaters. No extremes. Just letting the system balance itself. 🌬️ Airflow • Vortex extraction • Multiple cross-flow fans • Constant gentle movement No leaf chaos — just steady motion. ⸻ 💧 Feeding & Nutrition Strategy This week marks a clear transition phase. • EC: ~2.4 • pH: 6.5 (transitioning down — all feeds now 6.0+) Why Higher pH Right Now? As plants move into flower, nutrient demand shifts: • Better Ca / Mg uptake • Stronger phosphorus & potassium availability • Root activity increases Slightly higher pH at this stage supports structural growth and flower formation, especially under higher light and CO₂.
