Total days above ground: 63 Total flower nights: 24 Just beyond 3 weeks into flower and the plants are showing their potential. The Mountaintop Mint has made great strides but is still a lanky bitch. I had to HST every branch, and may need to bend a couple more down before vegetative growth abates. Not a fan of this growth pattern and still unhappy about 2 out of 9 seeds providing a viable outcome. The bright side is that yield should be fine given the plethora of bud sites. Despite being difficult to grow next to other plants, I feel much better about its prospective outcome than I did just 1 week ago. That whole "crazy shit can happen in flower" thing rings true, again. Overall the canopy has filled in nicely. I have a couple spots where light is wasted and I'll make some adjustments to the process to fix that for future grows. Now that I've settled on plant size and number of plants, improvements can be made each cycle until it's clockwork. I like the 12-cola vs 8 cola experiement. I've got a fairly long list of edits to make to various sections of my "bible," which means I liked the outcomes of most of my incremental adjustments. Continual, systematic improvement in action... One other incremental change on the docket but not yet realized will be dropping nutrient concnetration once vegetative growth ends. Exact timing will be based on what I see in the foliage. I see some minor tip curl and its a bit darker than I want. So, it may come sooner than later. This'll be something I tweak over the next few grow cycles until I'm happy with the late-flower health. I'll drop fertilizer concentration 10-15% on next refill and see how that plays out. It'll take a couple refills of reservoir to near 100% transition without draining it. If necessary, I'll drain and do a full refill for more pressing needs. A rez scrub before final stretch is coming, regardless. Side note: The impacts of VPD can be enormous. Last year (2025-2 diary) I had a humidifier wick get fouled and RH dropped while VPD spiked for more than a few days, thinking I could power through or that the canopy would soon provide more moisture. Nope, growth stalled in a significant way. By comparing day 34-42-49 of 2025-2 and day 38-42-49 of this diary, I can see a huge difference in growth at same point above ground. The consitency with which i do things makes it fairly certain it's the extende period with extremely high VPDs that caused the difference. Also, interesting that it mostly catches back up by completion of third week of flower. The size difference is nearly undone by this point, though 2025-2 took 4 days longer vege phase to get there. Even so, I still think this grow is more than 4 days ahead of 2025-2 (the difference in vegetative phae duration). Time will tell if the development is ahead of the pace in 2025-2 or whether it's simply mostly an offset due to a less efficient vege phase for 2025-2.

Off to a killer start, I rarely seen genetics being this fast to germinate. 18 hrs 1/4” tap root and 24 hrs later was 1/2” out of the medium. 5 days later they are approximately 3-4” with second set of leaves. Nothing different with this grow except dialling in my mixes and top dresses at more appropriate times. For a change I have all my supplies for this grow to run with hiccups. Why Crystal Candy FV? Sweet Seeds were generous to provide seeds and supposedly 6-7 weeks only Flower would prove spectacular should the quality be comparable to Fem seeds. Plant looks well. Buds are beautiful. Smell is very good. Some leaves are turning yellow, I believe is normal, maybe a little bit early given that is only week 5 of flowering. But still, the plant looks very healthy.

Cutting back for a 2 or 3 day flush to reset. Started experiencing possible nute lockout so giving it a few days to heal. Probably going to cause yield problems. First grow. Still learning new things every day. Yield isn’t the final goal. I am however excited about my new macro lens for my phone.

It's been 74 days of flower now and they only got another week left. A few of the girls were acting up so they were put into dark solitary confinement for 24 hours🤣🤣🤣🤣 bad girls... I have been flushing them for 2 weeks now. Almost there 🤘🤘. I'm very happy how they have turned out, the color, the smell, the crystals 👍. Very proud of what I created. One was chopped last week and is trimmed up and curing in jars now. Looks and smells good👍... The gals are still loving the new fc4800, TSW2000 and their new 8x8 mars hydro grow tent as much as I do👍 leaves are sticking straight up towards the light. Love how easy the zippers are to open and close. Nice and strong and guaranteed to last. It has extra material on the backside of the zipper that helps for light leaksand enough ports and vents for anything you need in it👍. the tsw2000 is still going strong and is also a very good light. Its been going almost nonstop for 6 months and still working the same as when I got it👍. not much heat off both lights but the fc4800 is alot cooler and the heat-sinks work extremely well. I have it daisy chained to the tsw2000 and 1 dimmer controls the other and i don't need to be reaching in too far to dim the other light, it's awesome and I can't wait to buy more lights to daisy 4 together👍. You can rest your hand on the lights and not much heat comes off them. Obviously there is some heat but for the brightness of the lights and only raising the temp that much is awesome 👌.  And if I wanted to I could remove the driver from the fc4800 and run it on the outside of my tent because the cord is so long but 2 or 3 degrees is barely nothing👍. November 2nd marked another week of flower with "Pepper". She is a beautiful plant of jewel tones of greens, glistening under the frosty coating. We're getting close to the end. November 3, 2021, Wednesday. Nothing new to report. November 4, 2021, Thursday. Watered thoroughly. Her calyxes are swelling before my eyes, it's such a beautiful site. November 5, 2021, Friday.
