Grow Diaries: Week 9 Veg - Mentha de Croco Mutants Hello, Grow Diaries fam! 🌱✨ Week 9 is here, and while our mutants are small, they’re undoubtedly mighty in beauty and character! Each plant continues to showcase its uniqueness, with details in the leaves that are nothing short of art. As always, patience is the key, and these beauties are teaching me that every step of this journey is worth it. The Flip is Coming! After much thought, I’ve decided to flip the entire room to a 11/13 light cycle. This means it’s time to identify males and let the females show their true potential. Here’s the plan: • Why Flip Now? Despite their smaller size, flipping now allows the plants to reveal their sex while keeping the room’s progress synchronized. This way, I can focus on the keepers and remove the males efficiently. • Revegging the Favorites: By flipping and selecting now, I’ll be able to reveg any standout females later. For those unfamiliar, revegging is a technique where, after flowering, you revert the plant back to a vegetative state. This method preserves genetics you love and allows you to grow clones or expand the line further. 👉 Benefits of Flipping and Revegging: • Speeds up the identification process without needing clones first. • Lets you preserve special traits in the plants. • Adds flexibility in managing space and time. Environment & Nutrition This week, I’ve maintained a steady environment: • Temps: 22°C with about 66% RH. • Nutrients: Continuing with the Aptus Holland lineup—Regulator, Start Booster, and CalMag Boost. Watering from the bottom remains my go-to, helping keep gnats at bay while ensuring even root hydration. Been ghost for a little while but now I’m back. Been dealing with a lot of personal stuff but I've been maintaining my focus on this girl. She’s grown a lot in the past 4 weeks. Did some LST, topping, and some super cropping. Started her outside but brought her inside the tent because she was reaching her full potential. She’s doing great now! I’ve been fighting a fungus gnat infestation but I got it under control now. She’s in her 3rd week of flower and is moving along nicely.

Seeing these buds produce is amazing big up to barneys farm for these amazing genetics. Also big up Zamnesia for the seeds

On day 81, the plant has shifted resources into bud development and the results have been beautiful, the plant has also flourished with low doses of nutrients in order to avoid nutrient stress. The buds are sticky to the touch and give a slight citrus and cherry/raspberry smell, with continued purple transformation of the plants cells.

Ende ersten Woche Flower und Start der Zweiten, ich hatte wieder ein Problem mit Trauermücken und habe diese jetzt mit Neemöl bekämpft und die erste mit Sand bedeckt. Dadurch trocknet diese nicht so schnell aus und die Mücken können ihre Eier nicht in die Erde setzen, ich hoffe mal, das hilft. Die Pflanzen haben einen mächtigen Schub gemacht und sind min. 10 cm gewachsen, man erkennt schon kleine anzeigen von Härchen. Tag 4 von Woche 8: Heute habe ich das Netz gespannt und stark erlaubt sowie triebe raus genommen die nicht mindestens durchs Netz gingen oder kein Licht bekamen. Ich bin gespannt wie gut die anderen jetzt davon Profitieren werden .

Plain water as usual, did top some of them with bat guano only the ones I think need it the rest looks ok

Everything was fine until the bottom leaves started to yellow and fell off. I checked the res and it didn't drink as much as it used to. Then i flushed the res and added plain ph-ed water and left it for 24 hours. Then i flushed again, added new water with 1/2 strength nutes but ph rised up from 5.7 to 6.3 after 24 hours. Corrected the ph by adding ph down directly into the res and added great white directly as well. After those two application, the leaves started to droop and i immediately changed the res with new water with 1/2 strength nutes. Now my plant looks like this. How can i fix this?

5/30 update: both plants have been jarred for curing! A little disappointed with the over all yield but a lot to learn from this first grow! Expert seeds gg#4 comin next 👌0

This week marked the final stretch of the grow the Epsilon F1 is now fully mature and absolutely covered in thick, frosty trichomes. The main colas have gained impressive density, with most pistils turning a rich orange while the trichome heads are mostly milky with a few amber ones starting to appear. The fade is beautiful, with yellow and purple tones spreading through the fan leaves as the plant naturally finishes its life cycle and directs all remaining energy into the buds. The aroma has become more intense and complex sweet, fruity, and slightly earthy. Overall, she looks perfectly healthy and ready for harvest very soon. A light flush is underway, and I’ll be checking the trichomes daily to harvest at the ideal point depending on the desired effect, either a bit earlier for a more uplifting high or a few days later for a deeper, more relaxing one.

This week is going great. Buds are becoming dense, pretty sure by the end of the week I’m gonna have to add a few bamboo sticks for support. The smell has definitely increased tri comb development has gone crazy new amber ones has already started forming and by the end of the week I’ll look at tri comb development again to see if more has gotten cloudy or amber as I will start to flush when I see 70% amber

Forgot to take pics for week 9 so here is week 10. All chopped and drying after 48hrs darkness the Cali snow could have probably done with another week but all the rest were looking pretty done with about 20% amber. Drying at 19 degrees with humidity at 50% for the first couple of days then I’ll up it to 62% till there done. Going to be the longest 10 days of my life. Looking good I think for my first grow can’t believe how easy it’s been organic is the way for me I think.
