Week 7 Flower We've finally started flush 💦 on Day 43. I still run EM1 at 1ml/ltr as it goes a long way once activated/stretched. It's always going to be a benefit to keep any microbes you can in the coco. You can also use Mammoth P throughout flush, but due to its price I just stick to EM1 in flush. There's plenty of other microbes that can be used too. I flush around twice the pots' volume at 6pH. But before flooding the pot I slowly pour water through the centre of the pot, around the stem, in order to take a true reading of the ppm and pH of the run off. If the ppm/ec reads a lot higher than your average feeding throughout bloom, then there's been issues such as a lockout, incorrect pH, over feeding etc. This wasn't the case, as this girls' was at the right level. If the pH is too high or low, I adjust the pH of the rest of the water that'll be flushed to try to fix it. Again, this wasn't the case with this girl as she had a perfect pH 👌👍 Just before all of the water has gone through the pot, I take one last reading from her last bit of run off. The ppm should be down to no more than 100ppm for the first flush (+starting ppm of water if using tap water). After the first flush the ppm value of the run off will quickly go all the way down to 0, or at least below 50ppm (+tap water ppm). I use tap water that is between 150-190ppm, but I'm looking to switch to RO as soon as I can. I still get a very good flush, but I think using RO water will be the next step in getting a more thorough flush as it won't contain even the small amount of nutrients and metals that tap water contains (along with any harmful chemicals). Always remember to bubble or let the water sit for 24-48hrs before feeding to your plants. That goes for all feedings in every stage of growth if using tap water. Because I keep fairly low temps in the Den she's starting to turn a beautiful dark purple. Her buds are still swelling and smelling like a nice gassy OG, with hints of citrus/tropical fruits. I'm really looking forward to taking this girl down, but after at least another week! Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺

🗓️ Day 78 – Embracing the Power of Nature Another week has passed in this beautiful outdoor grow journey. The plant continues to surprise me with its strength and resilience. This past week brought intense sunlight and scorching heat, but no changes were made to the technique – I still rely entirely on nature’s rhythm. No additives, no boosters – just clean tap water and occasional Plagron Bat Guano top-dressings every 10 days. 🌿 Growth & Structure After recovering from the strong winds and heavy rain earlier this month, the plant has bounced back stronger than ever. The main cola is stretching tall and proud, and the side branches are developing nicely with consistent flower formation. 🔎 Health Observation The leaves remain lush green with no signs of deficiency or stress. The overall structure is symmetrical, with good internodal spacing and healthy development. Some light purple tint appears in the petioles – likely a natural trait under current temperature fluctuations. 💡 Minimalist Approach This grow has been intentionally simple – an experiment to see how far genetics and nature alone can take a plant. The result so far is impressive, especially for a FastBuds autoflower grown without any synthetic nutrients or intensive care. 🌸 Flowering Stage The plant is now in full flowering mode. Bud sites are clearly swelling, and trichome production has started. With a bit of patience and consistent care, we’re on track for a natural and aromatic harvest. 🌱 Soil & Feeding • Organic super soil mix • Occasional Plagron Bat Guano (every 10 days) • Tap water only – manually aerated before use No bottled nutrients. 📷 See photos for close-up bud development and overall plant structure. if u wanna skip details just read the CAP LETTERS day 29 - januari 2 waterleaves from under the stems got cut off, also trimmed the lowest branches because the leaves were getting too big the soil plant has gotten no trim or cuts at all day 31 the ph of the res was 5.3 i changed water , roots look brown, not rotten or slimy just brown. day 32 the hydro plant gets healthy growth after the water change. ph is still too low (5.5) im waiting for my *PH up* i ordered online. never tought i would need it lol. she goes well on 5.5 but not enough calmag is absorbed like it does on 6.2 The pictures of day 32 display the difference is very big in the stems, the soil plant only got topped while the hydro plant had already a litle trim on the lowest branches and the branches above (in the midle of the bush where i topped them) so she got more stress and still is bigger then the soil. day 33 i got no ph up (for now yikes) sooooo i took 8 liters out of the res and replaced it with pure rainwater and 170 ppm calmag in it without nutrients to keep the acid level a bit higher. it worked as u can see in the final pictures the plant gets new growth a bit faster. ph up should be here by end of the week. day 35: plant start to stretch finnally, while i was doing LST later in the evening one of the top stems just snapped off completely OOOPS 😆. theres still a lot of branching going on and a nice bush she will recover very fast from this loss as i summoned the Cannabis Gods into my room as the planets lined up and perfected my PH up to 6 by adding the purest rainwater from the universe the roots cleaned themselves back to pearlwhite and started absorbing the nutes faster then ever. in all silence i knew this was my destiny and the stems grew so fast i could hear them grow. the whole experience was too much as i collapsed to the ground and stood up left the room and knew... i would never see these ph and calmag problems ever again and went down the stairs with my new powers THE PLANTS BOTH GOT GERMINATED ON SAME DATE. BOTH GOT TOPPED ON SAME NODE. I WAS FORCED TO TRIM 4 BRANCHES OF THE HYDROPLANT BECAUS IS WAS BLOCKING TOO MUCH LIGHT I ALSO CUT OFF THE 4 BIGGEST WATERLEAVES ON THE MAIN STEM. THE SOILPLANT DID NOT NEED ANY TRIMS AS SHE IS NOT GROWING AT AN INSANE SPEED, HOWEVER THE SOIL PLANT LOOKS HEALTHIER AND BIGGER BECAUSE THE FANLEAVES ARE STILL THERE. IF U WATCH THE STEMS IN THE PICTURES OF DAY 32 U CAN CLEARLY SEE THE HYDRO IS WAY BIGGER. I NEED TO CORRECT MY PH SO SHE ABSORBS MORE CALCIUM MAGNESIUM FOR EXPLOSIVE GROWTH.

Slowly growing out some more leaves. I'm guessing it's still putting out most of it's energy in to roots. The leaf growth has sped up a little bit though. Chopped the cover crop again. Drilled drainage holes in the side of the container to insure proper drainage. Added a compost tea. It had worn castings, kelp meal, insect frass, mycorhyzae powder, bacillus powder, em1, some leafy green material, and some high carbon peat moss. Was brewed for 24 hours and applied liberally. Identified some knotweed in my container and promptly plucked it out. This stuff spreads rapidly and overwhelmed the whole garden in years past. I'm definately gunna have to keep an eye out for this ones return.

Great progress. Accidentally broke one of the lowest branches trying to do lst so I won't be trying that again. My methods are going to be defoliation until preflower which is coming up soon/already started, and then a small Supercrop. The defoliation has triggered some increased speed in growth I've noticed. I still feel like it's short though

Plant is showing signs of possible nitrogen and phosphorus deficiency with brown curling leaves and purple tipped leaves, but not too worried about it seeing as there's only about a few weeks left of growth. Removing smaller fan leaves to uncover bud sites. Heavy smells of pine and berries 😁

Pulled lights back due to burnt edges and I think I kept the lights at 40% too long and they stretched and fell over. Turned lights up to 80%

Week 6 of flowering 10/23/24 Changed nutrients to fit week 6 Buds are getting even bigger and thicker. Defoliated a little. Noticed a PH of 4.8 in runoff, same as the late stage of flower in my previous grow. After lowering feed EC, CalMag on max strength, flushing with 0.8ec nutes for 3 days in a row, nothing changed and PH stayed the same. Read in a forum thread about constant low PH in the rootzone when growing in coco. Got great info about CEC, water, nutrients and little chemistry from a detailed explanation. (https://www.icmag.com/threads/recurring-problem-with-low-ph-in-coco.338385/page-2#post-10843765) Flushed plants with tap water + calmag, PH 6.5. Used 120L total for 4 plants in 2 days. 1st day: flushed after lights on, did not water until 2 hours before lights off and flushed again. Runoff PH went up a little, but not to the correct range. 2nd day: flushed after lights on and checked runoff EC + PH, of each plant. Fortunately, PH got corrected to 5.8, and I returned to automatic watering 4 times a day (with 10%-20% runoff). Thoughts: In the last grow, I thought I had a problem because of salts buildup in the media with constantly low PH in late flower. I didn't fully correct the problem till chop day. Same problem here in the same stage of flower without the salt buildup. After reading every forum I could find about the problem, I understood that my bloom nutes were the main problem because of their chemical composition. The coco ability to exchange ions lead to the low PH in the rootzone. It got worse quickly because I did not use any tap water with the feedings, so the PH could swing easily and drastically without resistance. After I looked online for the T.A. feeding chart, I saw they used TriPart Grow till week 7 of flower, the Nitrogen type they are using will up the PH. CocoForCannabis chart that I'm using, has not enough nitrogen to combat the bloom nutes PH down effect in flower. It gets even worse with RO water because there are no minerals that can resist PH down. Now I'm using 30% tap water with rest RO water, T.A. TriPart feeding chart with calmag and silica. Hopefully I have corrected the problem for the rest of the grow. It wasn't easy, because there were lots of variables that worsened the problem quickly. Now I'm checking runoff PH and EC daily. Update on next week :)

Here’s the catch-up: Emergency Support Mission - Durban’s weight crisis: Side branches cracked under their own mass – one even split the main stem! - Field fix: Stabilized with 4 stakes + speaker wire (ugly but effective). - Lesson learned: Next run = heavy-duty support before stretch. Strain Check: Durban Poison (African Queen) - Growth style: Less height (expected 2m+), more lateral explosion – new shoots daily make her look like 3 plants in one. - Flower status: White pistils stacking at branch tips. - Smell: Still discreet (neighbor-safe… for now). - Health: Vibrant green – zero stress signs. Blueberry - Surprise stretch: Nearly hit 2m (like a sativa!). Half Durban’s width but elegant. - Stem power: Thicker trunk than Durban – mini-tree status. - Color preview: Purple stems emerging! Buds may follow suit (fingers crossed). - Support needed: Prepping for heavy buds to avoid branch snaps. Care & Environment - Feeding: Pure Bokashi juice (no extras) – they’re thriving on it. - Pests/mold: None spotted. Dry summer helping. - Weather: About 20° C and really high humidity.
