In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. On monday it will be 4 weeks for the young ladies and they are starting to flower. They are short and bushy lets see how mutch they strech. I will do a topdressing soon using kelpmeal batguano rockdust and a little of epsom salt. After that i will only water them for about 3 weeks. I will add a Mars Hydro ts 1000 150 watts light next week too since i have alot of plants in the tent . So far so good. all the ladies are happy and loves life. 😻🌱🌱🌱 Happy growing to you 💚

well everything is going alright. nothing to complain about. destroyers are getting a lighter shade in the new growth but still pretty much healthy, just a more natural sativa color. maybe around this time i could have thought about topdressing but i’m more inclined to let them go on with straight water just to see how this mix runs till finish with just water and no extra inputs. though who knows i may just decide to topdress tomorrow haha others seem happy and healthy as well. watered the dinachem pot yesterday with about 4l of distilled water and destroyers got 4l each 2 days before that. caribe and cannalope pot is still pretty heavy. see y’all next week edit; yesterday we had a blackout so timers were set back an hour so i guess when i opened the tent today light had just turned on because they were holding a less intense praying pose so just checked back 3 hrs later now and looks fine now. added those photos as well.

Bubble Kush and her training were not going very well. This week, basically I fimmed the plant last week. And it had just grown straight upwards, and that's not what I really wanted. Due to that, I have decided to super crop the main stem again. Like I did with my Acapulco Gold and that worked really well. It just went absolutely crazy after I did that. So I'm hoping that it'll do the same thing with my precious Bubble Kush. She is my last seed, and I really wanna try and make the most out of her so with that in mind, I super cropped her. She's doing really well and I'm so glad that I did. Here is what I did this week. Date of super crop: 11.9.25. 12.9.25: I watered with 4L of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.5 with; 💜 4ml Flourish PH: 6.5 PPM: 308 The fungus gnats have really incresed since I did a watering of the whole tent. I have some more sticky traps set out, and I will not water for several days. Once it has dried the top soil, I will add some more Diatomaceous Earth to the top 5cm. They are beginning to really annoy me. So lets hope I can get them under control here. I've been busy and missed updating several of my journals. This has started to show amazing colors so wanted to share. It started REALLY showing flower late in week 5, and early in week 6 hints of purple showed up. The plant is 52 days from seed at the time of writing this. I have had an issue with just this strain with random funky leaf growth and discoloration. I have another FB Pineapple that doesn't show the same, as well as 11 other strains. Started another Blackberry seedling and it's showing the same discoloration so I'm thinking it's a genetic/strain issue. Hopefully it doesn't affect the final outcome, so far it's looking good!

I cant war to grow this strain again. Next time we do a pheno-hunt on this strain.

Weekly update for these lovely ladies. They've grown and grown since the last update so much I had to raise the greenhouse. Cinder blocks under the frame gave me an extra 16in. They're growing probably a foot of week and still reaching for the stars. I did switch to Athena's Bloom A & B and P&K booster this week giving 5-10ml per gallon. I really couldn't be happier with how they've grown up to this point. All in all Happy Growing.

1/9 Both finally transplanted to 7gal Fabric pots. Plant 2 is doing really well, no stopping her now!! Plant 1 is doing slightly better than she was, going to give a slight defoliation over the coming week and hope she picks up. 2/9 plant 1 is slowly getting her shit together I think, I'm going to leave her be as much as I can this week. Plant 2 is doing me proud, recovered well after transplant/topping I'm going to continue training her as I see fit. 3/9 #2 has been fed today, nothing for #1. #1 is slowly getting there now, #2 is still going strong as ever💪 I think I may take a few clones off her soon 4/9 been noticing a few wet patches the past couple of days, had a biting a trim and will continue to do so as needed. Plant 1 is starting to do her thing now too, plant 2 going string as usual. Pre-flower time... Top dress feeding for the first time for this lady added with some worm casting. Switching lights to 12/12 in a few days, Monday but until then each day I'll decrease the lights. Other than that things have been super easy, once again she's strong. She's thick she's healthy she's happy. If I can count correctly I may have about 16 tops, so things will be clear later on In flower. We'll see the true tops. Plus she is putting off a really leafy greeny smell, if that makes any sense. Other than that looking good
