Today 7/30/19, day 57 and the start of week 9. I'm still continuing to alternate between days with my pesticide treatment (especially after finding that bug living on one of hulkberries fan leaf) and thrive alive green daily foliage spray as a prophylactic solution against any possible pests or mold going into these last few dog days of veg. I will flush them with distilled ph'd water for two days this weekend in preparation for flower. Then I'll start them on some "flower fuel" bloom booster on top of my secret for success flower recipe at 1/4 of the recommended strength. Outside of that still no adverse issue to report for the end of the 8th week. After my last trim, they both have responded very nicely, I was kind of worried about fat banana stalled growth. But one thing I noticed when I topped her at the 6th node, yes the main stem stopped growing but it developed many bud sites up and down every stem. Whereas hulkberry was topped at the 8th node, she has mainly focused on developing long stems and only 2 or 3 bud sites along her stems. Even though hulkberry in structure, is much bigger than fat banana and has a way bigger root system. Fat banana is bushier and has developed way more bud sites than hulkberry. I can't tell which strain will yield the most at this point only time will tell! Also, a big shout out to "J"@RQS, thank you for the excellent customer service. Another reason why Royal Queen Seeds is top 3 in breeding!!

I got the 3 starting seeds from an exchange with a redditor who accidentally pollinated his batch with a male, meaning I didn't start with the best genetic which in the end, probably induced the hermie. It turned out good overall but it did fuck up a lot of things. I never thought 4 weeks of veg would be too much. They got tall in no time and almost tripled in height during the flowering stretch. Light burn had a significant impact on the trichome production of certain buds. The mold is on me. I should have controlled the conditions better. I had to throw away 10-15g because of it. And really nothing guarantees I removed it all. Plant B produced, in the books, a lot less than her sisters and that can be explained by 3 factors: -Mold attacked it more than the others; -I probably switched 1 or maybe 5 (who knows...) whole branches when they fell from the rope during the drying; -I left a lot of tiny popcorn buds that got separated in the ''to be extracted'' jar. The 3 plants were pretty similar in looks but gave rather different seeds. A, the hermie, gave a lot of seeds in general but almost half of them were immature or wonky and got discarded; B, a female, gave a lot of good ones but also quite a few bad ones. The have nice stripes giving them a tiger look; C, another female, still hasn't been plucked of all it's seeds but the ones I already collected are really big, round and mat. Plant A pollinated itself. Plant B got helped by me but C didn't received help from me nor the wind and still got hit, a lot less, but still. I'll never underestimate the propagation power of pollen again. FINAL HARVEST: PLANT A: - 91g - 281 viable seeds PLANT B: - 28g - 297 viable seeds PLANT C: - 89g - 149 viable seeds 167 mixed seeds from ABC EXTRACT MATERIAL: - 9g TOTAL: 217g / 894 seeds Height by weeks: 1 - 7 cm 2 - 20 cm 3 - 32 cm 4 - 49 cm Switch 5 - 81 cm 6 - 107 cm 7 - 120 cm 8 - 124 cm 9 - 125 cm 10 - 126 cm 11 - 126 cm 12 - 128 cm 13 - 128 cm Nice experience overall. This was a quiet week. The girls were recovering from their topping but were also flipping into flower. They have been getting water every two days and that seems to be an issue so I bought an auto watering drip system to install next week. The one I was most excited for this run has done very poorly since getting topped. That's depressing since the girls buds are already purple. Wanted to see how she grows but really might have stunted this one. Only time will tell. Been a good week gonna try up ppm a little...been getting little ph drop and don't have any root issues..... so think they are hungry..also maybe a little magnesium deficiency on back plants so might add a little epsom salt see how that turns out...

Straw-Lectric Lemonade-STRNG Seed W10 F1 01/11-17 These strawberry collection gals are taking off like rockets during this early stretch. Cadillac1 and S. Trop Cherry 2 have grown at least 15 inches this week. I cannot push them to the edge anymore. Pics show them pressed up against the light. What to do? My hubby suggested cutting them off-you should have seen the look I gave him. I decided to do more super cropping of the tallest branches. These girls were 56 and 57 inches from the soil to their tops. As tall as me but an additional 15inches due to the pot. I tried to bend the stem by about 10inches, so the tops are about the same as the other plants in the tent. Fingers crossed they slow down. Since the dots did not arrive before the transplant, I decided to use TPS1 and start during the first week of flower. That’s now. The mix for early bloom is as follows: TPS1 14ml/g Silica Gold 3ml/g I needed to add 3ml/g of Calmag to raise the pH after accidentally lowering it too much. 1/10 66.5F, 6.22 ph & 1023 ppm 1/14 70.3F, 6.42 ph & 1007 ppm Pics 1/11 !st flower week defoliation and lollipop for all the Strawberry collection. 1/16 More super cropping of Cadillac1 and 1st time Trop Cherry2. General observations: I usually use Air pots but these can be messy when water squirts out the side holes. I decided to use the 5Gal fabric pots AC Infinity provided when I got the tent. The fabric pots hold moisture longer than the air pots and since I have to water with at least a gallon, the humidity increases to 85%. This is way out of range for early bloom. Also, the ventilation fan increases to 10 which is very loud and only helps a small bit. I noticed that after defoliation the RH came down to the upper 60%. Not optimal but better. I should have defoliated in week 3 of veg to reduce the humidity in early flower. The only time my environment is optimal is when it’s close to the next watering day. Then it goes right back up after watering. It has been very cold here and the tent temperature barely gets above 73f. Increasing the tent temperature would help the VPD. When the plants were touching the lights, I held the lights at 80%. This was the Athena blended line nutrition grow. She did well. No major growing issues. She has a pretty flower that is frosty, and sticky. She has a very tropical, and fruity smell. Hat aber einen Stretch hingelegt, der mich ein wenig grübeln lässt, was noch in den nächsten Wochen auf mich zu kommt. Ihre Äste sind teils sehr schwach und eventuell muss ich die Blüten später irgendwie stützen. Aber das werde ich sehen, wenn es soweit ist

Day 65, 14th of November 2020: Bla bla bla I.could say a lot but just look at the pictures and video and say what you want. Crazily streching, and growing new sides as you can see she is having those fluor green new sides.... aggressive... strong I do love! Pre flowers and pistils are out! Beautiful tall even after topping she really grows.... Fertilization happens every 2nd day with the ratio and mix above. I set the lamp 15 minutes shorter to switch off earlier so she receives 11:45 of darkness. I would like to imitate the nature when longer nights come with time till the 4th week (when she will receive 13 hours darkness a day 15 minutes minus 4 times = 1hour) so every week 15 min longer darkness for 4 weeks and then back to 12/12 to have bigger buds from the 4th week....
