Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. I used a macro lens from a fish eye kit you can buy for any phone to make that macro video, i highly recommend them it’s so easy to see when i can harvest , these are also very cheap but you do need a steady hand haha. I smoked some smaller buds about a week after harvest & it already tastes amazing almost like a reaalllyy sweet banana haha & the burn is good also i was suprised it was smokeable so fast. Fat banana is one of my favourite strains from now on! I also had 1 Sour Diesel in the tent but i’m still curing that one

I started germinated these beautifull ladies on the 15th, All 5 are doing great showing there first leaves Only the weater is not the best right now but i have faith it will come alright

This week I decided to recruit my husband to get a proper look at this girl's roots. She's gotten so damn big that it's impossible for me to get a shot otherwise. Her root ball is massive. She's large and in charge. I went through and gave her another thorough round of defoliation. What I removed was any droopy leaves in the underbrush, as well as any fan leaves that were casting shadows and blocking light from my bud sites. When I was finished, I was able to stand over my plant, look down, and visibly see through to the base of my plant and grow media. Being able to do this suggests to me that my light source is also able to penetrate down throughout the plant as well. The removal of these leaves also contributed to improved air circulation and decreased humidity - both which are important as we progress through the flowering stage. This week I also caught my first whiff of this plant's sweet aroma. I'm excited to see how her terps develop over the upcoming weeks! 😋😋😋 I cloned another branch off this plant. Baby Tester FF3s are slowly taking over my house. 😂 Thank you for following along! This has been so fun! ✌️ 💜 🌱

Сейчас растишка хорошо поживает,по неосторожности упал с гардин модэм и зацепил проводом кустик,у шишки был надломан трёхпалый листик,после подвяза чер пяток дней всё прижилось,

Day 21 : I had planned to do a 21 day defol and strip her out to encourage her to grow below more but in retrospect , this is not in her interest while she is working the buds . The transfer of energy needed to regrow what I take out will be pointless as she isn't tight for space at all. The height has been kept down well with the LST and supercropping which has allowed the strongest secondaries to become the vertical mains. I am going to be taking some lower scrap out and won't be letting half assed buds take her energy to create popcorn. She has gulped the feeds down with no issues at all and shows signs of being a good yielder. Her budlets are fairly loose structures at present but her node lengths are ripe for joined up big Cola's. She isn't smelling of anything yet and at 21 days I am pleased with her progression. nice chunky stems and plenty of mains. be safe and sane Growmies

4/16: I love her structure as I said before, now she’s doing weird shit. The last few days some fan leaves have been turning yellow and falling off like it’s starving for nutes so I upped the anti hopefully that’ll fix this issue.......also a few buds started to fucking foxtail on me probably due to heat a few days ago it was 97 degrees in my tent good thing I caught it early 4/17: Today I noticed purple spots on some of the leaves mostly just on the ends.....seems like I may have a purple pheno 4/18: Giant fan leaves are still dropping off I don’t know if it’s the strain itself or not enough nutes, I’m not noticing any type of deficiencies even though I’m still new to this (my 7th grow) but the sugar leaves seem to be doing fine while increasing triches day after day 4/20: The colours are getting beautiful on this here sexy girl.

4/16: I’m really not happy with her....she really needs to start swelling up 4/17: seeing a little deficiency with her gave her a little cal-mag bump 4/19: I took off 5 leaves that had patches on them

4/17: More of the same as usual.......l can only imagine what she would’ve been doing with the needed light instead of 12/12 4/18: For the remaining time until I harvest her in like a week or 2 I’m going to take her out the tent during light off period so she can receive much more needed light
