This one was a huge surprise because up to this point i had thought it was a completely different plant, blueberry cupcake. one of two seedlings had died and i didn’t have them properly marked. its growing great but clearly has a long way to go before finishing. smells like pine, funk, and a hint of citrus

Another good run and another home run on this strain. Just everything about it is amazing. The smell, the look, the taste the high, all amazing. The scrog came out nicely and produced a fair amount of bud. One thing I would like to mention is I only flushed for one day. The dry time in the tent was 15 days as it was quite humid here but a nice slow dry is alright with me!!! This harvest report is after 2 weeks of daily burping. So about a month, maybe little more from harvest. I can say I definately agree with the old timers that the flsuh is not important its the dry and cure. She is super smooth and tastes great already with little cure. The ash is also nice and white!! skip the flush but slow down drying is my thoughts for the future. after 2 weeks of burping in the big jar I move them to 20ish gram jars for the remainder of their curing time. As far as weight goes, I was a little off on my guess, I think I guessed 122 but 92 isnt all that bad. The tent harvest was mid 500's but a couple of the other strains from a different breeder really slacked on the weight so overall I'm happy. More and most imortant is all the flower in the tent is top notch thats for sure. Thanks for following peeps, on to the next run!!!! PS. Barneys genetics is damn amazing! 😈

Thank you to everyone for following this journey! The results were nuts. Honestly, I would've been happy with 40g dry as this is my first grow. I DEFINITELY did not expect this outcome which is insane. This gives me so much confidence in my future grows and appreciation for the companies whose products I used. So, now to the point - Dry weight - Top class buds - 176g, smaller buds - 32g, larf/leaves/scissor hash - 26g. To sum up - 208g of product you can smoke and 26g that'll go to edibles. First grow, 2x2 tent, 100w light, three-part fertilizer and cal mag - that's insane, especially because I was expecting nothing more than 60g and like I mentioned, I would've been happy with 40g. I even thought my scale was broken or something went wrong, I still can't believe I pulled 208g of bud. It took 117 days from seed to smoke - that's disregarding the cure. Seed to flower in 42 days. Flower to harvest in 61 days. 14 days drying. Thank you to FastBuds, I've sent them an email about the grow with some questions and got a speedy reply with some pointers towards the end of the flower. Also, I don't have anything to compare this grow with but I had 0 issues with pests which I was really happy about. I didn't have to spray anything on the plants, didn't have a single bug inside the tent. They mention on the website that NL is a very resilient strain so that might've been because of this specific strain. Spiderfarmer light did amazing too - 208g of bud from 100w light!. General Hydroponics did way better than I expected - there's so many companies with multiple bottles of nutrients that expect you to spend ridiculous amounts of money on their products while I got crazy results with just 3 basic bottles. Cal and Mag by Canna worked with no complaints. Takeaways - seems like the runoff pH doesn't matter in coco - I could be wrong but I struggled with coco pH from the very beginning. Regardless, the outcome speaks for itself. Maybe the harvest would've been even better with an optimal pH but in this particular grow, I don't think it mattered much. Before starting this grow I've done A LOT of research and it looks like it most definitely paid off! I was panicking at first because of the slow growth. The plant also had some leaf deformities and the color wasn't as green as I've expected it to be. It was stressful at first, I think especially because I was constantly comparing my grow to someone else's. This specific LST method where I kept rotating the main stem clockwise every day or two paid off as well. The canopy was relatively even and new tops grew crazy fast. The only thing left to do is to cure the bud. I had two 1.5L containers ready for cure/storing since I didn't expect to pull much but had to go acquire a few more "big boys" to fit all the product in, which is a good problem to have. I don't think that I'll be updating the cure here but the plan is to burp 2x/day for 15-30min each time for the first week and 1x/day for 15-30min the second week. After the first couple of weeks I won't be timing the burps. As of now, I've placed boveda 62% packs inside the containers to maintain a RH of at least 58% in the jars. About the Northern Lights strain - the smell hasn't fully returned yet post trim, but it smells like sweet fruits with a hint of black pepper. You can still smell a bit of pine/grass but I think that'll be gone after the cure. Buds are covered with trichomes, they shine like diamonds when you take a better look. Also, the buds look a little airy but are still really dense when pressed. The smoke - It's a tasty, relaxing high. I get why people describe it as night time smoke but for me personally, it grounds me a bit and I can enjoy it anytime. Also, it burns white ash :)) P.S. This is a lengthy diary but I hope that people can learn some stuff from my notes shall they read them! Thanks to everyone that followed the journey, showed support or just browsed through. ********* Week 7 - January 20 to 26, 2020 (Days 43 to 49 from seed popping) She is taking shape more this week by getting taller colas and thinning out between nodes.......oh yeah, and fattening of buds😜😎 It was also not without learning though and thats what is so cool about growing this plant.......you always seem to leave a grow feeling like you could do even better next time and therefore challenging yourself to do better......and have bowl while doing it😂 Her nodes are getting taller and giving herself room for packing on weighty buds👍 If left to one cola should be a fatty!!! But then I would be freaking about potential bud-rot....so I am cool with it. Since LST though it will be interesting to see how well she fills in six😳 She has the makings of being a good producer......its up to the grower to now to keep her happy😬 and see if she packs on the weight with roughly three more full weeks to go?? Missed opportunities in CalMag showing.😰 Left a lot of leaves and two branches that should have removed. Potassium excess contributed to by grower learning Terpinator and Massive.😰 Main stem should have been a little lower......further opportunity to improve👍💪 Got a little crazy with the PPM and felt I knew more than the nutrient company and went above the recommended max by roughly 30%😰😎😭 Yeah.......dummy! My defence.....1300 isn’t too high for Advanced Nutrients in late flower😃😃 Anyway, I screwed up and saw tip burn in week 7. Gave a quick little flush with RO water and Sensyzime to clean up the roots of the salts. Didn’t get crazy though because it was just the top leaves burnt. Been building the medium up to this point so don’t want to wash it all away just yet. She seemed to react well and nodes standing up and didn’t show much outwardly as signs of overwatering😬 Reviewing some of the photos this week I have seen the first small parts of a few hairs drying and turning colour.......no full hairs and not on every bud but enough to say they are first ones.......three more weeks?? Curious.....time will tell.....seen Jan 26, day 49. (49 + 21 = 70.......makes sense.) Feed will stop next week.....by end of my week 8. In the week a head there will be the last push to get her medium in as good a shape as my skills will warrant. I want to get a good 10 + days of flush to see her in the beauty of senescence and how she matures. Run-off has been reasonable so will keep fingers crossed 😄🤞 Little more detail.... Jan 20/20 - Day 43 - Drinking lots right now, close to 4L per day, so 2L plain water only in AM. 6.2pH,. - Feed in PM was light as well. Sensyzime @ 2ml and LW8 & Rezin @ 1.5ml only. 2L given with 75ppm. 5.9pH - She was given a good feeding yesterday. - Buds sites looking taller. Jan 21/20 - Day 44 - AM - 3L with Dual Fual A&B @ 1.5ml/L. 725ppm and 5.9pH. - PM hit her again - full feeding minus Rhino Skin, Sensyzime and Vitrathrive and VeloKelp. 2.5L 1000ppm and 5.9pH. - Runoff - 950ppm and 5.6pH. - top leaves were droopy so the extra feeding in the evening. Jan 22/20 - Day 45 - Backing off quantity a bit and down to 3L feed in PM. - Mass & Terp @ 3ml, Rezin & LW8 & DF @ 1.5ml, CalMag @ 0.5ml = 1300ppm - Very perky today....standing up all the way down the plant. Liked the feed yesterday. ******this was likely the mistake feed looking back********left the ppm too high and should have added in RO water to bring down around 1000ppm! At least it seems traceable and will go with that😀 Jan 23/20 - Day 46 - Supplemental feeding only today. Happy so don't rock the boat :) - Sensyzime @ 2ml, LW8 & Rezin @ 1.5ml = 80ppm 6.1pH - 2L only today.....still some weight to the pot Jan 24/20 - Day 47 - 2L feed: Massive @ 2ml, DF & LW8 & Rezin @ 1.5ml = 925ppm 6.2pH - Nute burn on Green Poison but Zkittlez seems fine and she is fine. Maybe a slight lightening on a few tips.... - happy and praying in the evening. Jan 25/20 - Day 48 - 4L of full strength feeding for this week. - ppm for that was 1275 so watered down to 1100ppm.....only need 1ml of base nutes at full strength to hit roughly 1,000ppm. - Runoff: 900ppm & 6.05pH....happy with that. - she is 28” x 28” now - Her cola growth was strong, taller for each of the 6 She is in fattening mode….feed her 😀 Jan 26/20 - Day 49 - So no surprise when you push a girl you find her limit. Tips burnt this morning.😥😔 - 6L plain RO water pH to 6.2 - Followed right away with 2L RO water with Sensyzime @ 2ml/L. - Runoff: 465ppm. - She responded very well to this and all tips were up still in the evening.....no over watering signs. - Removed about 15 fan leaves and 4 lower bud sites. - guessing only another 1.5 weeks of feeding. - not falling to sleep an hour before lights out anymore either😀 Happy growing fellow enthusiasts and thanks for the time to read🙏🙏 (scrolling back through diary to update........damn.......that is a lot of bottles during these weeks!! ---GENERAL COMMENT--- Girls are at day 4 technically, but i like to update Sunday always, so keep that in mind, is 1/2 a week now. From germination to soil emerging took 3-4 days, no issues at all. 100% germination rate from multiple breeders till now. I will try my best to do a stress free grow again, so will grow mainly naturally. ---RQS EASY BUD--- Ironically the Easy bud is developing better and growing faster than her sister. ---DAY 10 UPDATE--- Over some days she got volume, just started to use RECHARGE, and wow, that thing works, 48H you could tell something is different, since watering with it the stem is thicker and is growing more vigorous, lets see how it will impact overall! ---DAY 14 UPDATE. WEEK 2 FINAL--- This is the last day of this week and this girl is absolutely amazing, she grew a lot, showing already the intension of shooting up more stems, i'm very happy with her, it has been a delight to grow, response in very good. Voodoo juice is of by now, will keep the recharge maintenance every other watering as i'm loving it. Feeding program will start soon!

Buenas amig@s, pues una semana más y pues contento con el crecimiento la verdad, no he tenido problemas con los insectos 🐜 tras pulverizar el insecticida natural que ya os comenté. Tras cambiar la tierra que tenia en un principio por la proporción turba-perlita 50/50 he notado que el crecimiento es mas rápido y el agua se retiene mucho mas. Gracias y ansioso por ver el final de mi primer cultivo, parece que octubre se va a hacer rogar, y en tanto tiempo podrían salir mal tantas cosas que me tiene de los nervios LOL pero bueno, mente fría, esperanza y alegría.

Day 28 veg: All is going daily good with these 3 ladies from Exotic Seed. The burn in the leaves is from a treatment forbrhe horrendous fungus gnat issue that ibhad hoped to managed but they are winning. lol. I am daily spraying them with home made treatment of steeped tobacco and dish soap with bicarb of soda. I caught the leaves with aspray here and there leading to the discolouration and burn The Strawberry cola is doing well and forming a nice top cola with good height supporting side branching . hopefully I can keep them together as the canopy grows. There are hints of white hairs on the bracts so flowering is close. Herz O.g is a big lady so far .Her f.i.m went good and could benefit the end yield . Shebhas fairly wide spacing on her frame so far so I will have to watch the stretch carefully. White hairs at the bracts are showing her female gender through so another close to flowering. she will need some l.s.t to stay in good light. Monster Mash looks happy enough and is keeping pace with the others so far. let's see what next week reveals. be safe folks

The weather was great this week!😁 maybe sometimes a bit to hot. Started with Cannazym because the plants where getting to much rain sometimes when I didn't see it coming. The conditions are an average of this week.

Just changed waters and plucked some fan leaves.🌊✂️ After plucking the leaves of these girls my hands have an odor of the most lemony citrus scent that I have smelled in strains before. 👃 These mostly sativa hybrids are looking happy and healthy & I can not wait to see the results.😊

July 17th the plants gained a more uniformed color and more importantly my cat loves it too lol

It’s been awhile since my last update but all was missed was 3-4 weeks of veg. She is on day 7 of flower as of this moment. There’s 2 Royal Gorilla’s with each having 6 main stems and one being LST. LST is the shortest one and hoping she will stretch a lot more to catch up to the one not being LST. Also have 2 White Widows at the same age as RG doing the same comparison but with 8 main stems. Got 1 White Widow that’s 14 days ahead with 8 main stems and she’s coming along really good. Will be updating every week since there in flower now. Take care....

One is definitely taller than the other but overall structure seems to be pretty close. Colors are good and starting to smell. Still keeping up the same feeding schedule of notes every 3rd water and just ph'd water and calmag for the other 2. Seems to be working great. All in all Happy Growing
