What a journey it has been from seed! I made a lot of mistakes in the first few weeks of this growing journey. I feel like I had a mini-crash after finishing the first year of grad school, and although I am growing cannabis as part of my research project, I haven't been the greatest at paying attention to it. This is not an excuse. It has actually been a learning opportunity. I realized that my body needs proper schedules to function and grow, just like a plant. The problems with the plant have really been my own problems. Let's just say that a plant may be the reflection of the grower. First, the light cycles were wrong and inconsistent. I thought that I could manually control the light schedule for the plants and be alright. However, I was wrong. My sleep schedule has been very inconsistent for the past few months. Mainly because we are living through a pandemic, and secondly because I am a graduate student 😂. How naive was it of me to think that a plant could follow my own rhythms? I guess it highlights my 'plant blindness.' Second, the light intensity was low and PH levels high. In the last five days, I have learned that plants are living organisms (I knew this, but my plant blindness is quick to dismiss it, I need to stop fighting these "plant voices" (signals)) that require a proper environment to grow, similar to humans. Of course, a plant is not human, but it is alive and living. It needs water, a regular schedule (light (active) /darkness (rest), oxygen, nutrients, and an overall good environment to grow. Concern about the size of my plant at five weeks, I decided to conduct a few experiments at home. Here are my notes: Friday, July 23, 2021, I took the plant out of the tent at 6:00 AM and placed it in front of my backyard window that faces the Eastside, perfect for sunrise. On that day, I had a few errands to run, and when I arrived home, it was 2:30 PM. The sun was now hitting the West side of my house, and I had to move the plant in front of my bedroom window. At around 7:00 PM, I went to look at the plant and noticed that its leaves were looking plumpy. So, I decided to take a timelapse to see what I would be able to record. During "magic hour" (sunset), I recorded and witnessed the plant moving with the rhythms of the sun. Plant, like humans, function at their best when they are synchronized with their circadian rhythm. The pandemic has definitely disoriented us to the point that it has disrupted all of our schedules. To this day, I feel tired from everything we have all been through; how could I possibly think that a plant would thrive with such a messed-up schedule? The time lapse made me realize that the plant needs some structure to thrive, and so do I. So, as much as I like to think that I can be disciplined and follow a plant's schedule, I cannot. So, I went to the store and bought the Globe Suite smart plug to automate and schedule the light cycle to 12hrs of light and 6 hours of darkness. Saturday, July 24, 2021, the plant woke up to the set schedule of the lights. I checked on the plant first thing in the morning, around 9:30 AM. The leaves look much greener and thicker than they did the day before. Sunday, July 25, 2021. I was away overnight and did not arrive home until 2 PM. The plant looks twice the size it was on Friday! Today, I will water the plant. I got a PH test kit and realized that the way that I measured the PH level, the first few weeks was wrong 🤦‍♀️🏽. I measured the PH correctly, to 5.9, and added some Reefertilizer grow nutrients to the water. I watered from the top, distributing the water evenly around the stem. My partner pointed to me that the lights seemed dim for the stage of the plant's life. So I had my lights set at 100 watts running at 20 % 😅. I realized that I had not increased the light intensity since the first few weeks of vegetation 🤦‍♀️🏽. So I increased the intensity to 100 watts running at 60%. Monday, July 26, 2021. First check-in 7:00 AM: The plant looks like it loves all of the new changes that I have made! It is finally growing 🤗 The sun is out, but it is not as intense as it should be because tiny particles of smoke are present in our air due to the wildfires, and they create a filter that makes the human eye see the sun blood red. It is quite apocalyptic. Regardless, I decided to take the plant out from the tent and record a time-lapse. It is fascinating how much movement plants have despite showing no noticeable signs of movement (to the human eye). Tuesday, July 27, 2021. It has been five days since I have made big changes to the plant's schedule and environment. The plant is finally showing good signs of growth, and its leaves colours have changed to a deep green. I am not watering the plant today, but I am spritzing it with water. I decided to take another time-lapse of the plant, but this time inside the tent. As I was setting up the tripod for my camera, I accidentally increased the humidifier 🤦‍♀️🏽. Luckily, I noticed within a reasonable timeframe and reduced the humidity and made the environment better. I increased the light intensity to 100 watts at 100%. The plant will stay in the tent all day today because it is raining ☔️.

Hi there everybody germination is going great I've decided to run a papaya cookies I haven't done this strain yet and im curious to see how it goes. hoping to see some lovely beautiful genetics. Im doing it in coco core per lite and feeding with xpert nutrients. 08/30/2008 Day 1 week 4 Seedling leaves turning pale, started nutrients today Advanced Nutrients Grow,Micro,Bloom at .25% quarter strength 💪 of recommendation. I will ease her into the nutes. First res. Change today also. Ps. I noticed under day light she has burgundy coloured stems,like her mom but we will see if adding nutes changes this... I believe it's genetic ! 😎 Also changed lights to 16-8 and red spectrum turned to 50%, prepare her for the flip!..... 09/05/2018 Noticed i noticed in the last pic a little fert burn 🔥 but that's why I increase it slow 🐌 but got decent amount of growth so onto 1/2strength for next reservoir change in week 5 .😎

Einen wunderschönen guten Tag, liebe Grow-Community, und herzlich willkommen zur 14. Woche meines kleinen Outdoorprojekts! Diese letzte Woche ging es den Damen an den Kragen … Da die Kleinen in letzter Zeit doch ordentlich an Pflanzenmasse zugelegt hatten und das Wetter in Kombination mit zu dichtem Blattwerk ein erhöhtes Pilzrisiko birgt, habe ich mir die Schere geschnappt und die Pflänzchen ordentlich ausgedünnt. Ich bin hierbei relativ radikal vorgegangen (nach dem Prinzip „Viel hilft viel“). Das hat mehrere Gründe: Einerseits bin ich kein Fan von diesen ganzen Popcornnug-Geschichten (sowohl qualitativ als auch vom Trimaufwand her). Ich stelle die Qualität immer über die Quantität und so gewährleiste ich, dass die Haupttriebe die gesamte Energie erhalten und optimal performen können. Des Weiteren gewährte ich so eine deutlich bessere Luftzirkulation und vermeide ein unnötiges Überlappen der Blätter, welche wiederum Kondenswasser einfangen und somit ein optimales Klima für Pathogene bilden. Und last but not least darf ich ja eh nur meine 50 g/Person ernten.😇 Beim sogenannten „Lollipopping“ verwende ich eine frisch sterilisierte Schere, welche ich nach jeder Pflanze neu reinige, um eine mögliche Kreuzkontaminierung zu vermeiden. Vor diesem Eingriff habe ich den Pflanzen noch eine Stärkung verabreicht, um sie auf den kommenden abiotischen Stress (nicht durch Lebewesen erzeugter Stress) vorzubereiten. Hier kam wieder mein noch nicht so altbewährter Biostimulator ins Spiel. Dieses Mal allerdings in Kombination mit einem Komposttee. Dieser hat den Vorteil, dass er den Gasaustausch der Pflanze fördert (,,ein lebenswichtiger Prozess, bei dem Sauerstoff (O₂), Kohlenstoffdioxid (CO₂) und Wasserdampf mit der Umgebung ausgetauscht werden“), indem sich die Mikroorganismen um die Spaltöffnung (Stomata) ansiedeln und diese sich schneller öffnet und schließt. Wichtig ist hierbei noch zu erwähnen, dass sich die meisten Stomata auf der Blattunterseite befinden, diese also ebenfalls besprüht werden sollte. Und da wir Bakterien ausbringen, ist es von Bedeutung, mit großen Tropfen und wenig Druck zu arbeiten und die Pflanze möglichst nass zu machen. Jetzt hoffe ich nur noch, dass das Wetter wieder mitspielt und wir gesund und vital in die Blüte übergehen können. Und zum Schluss noch das altgewohnte Gequengel: Grow Diaries hat mir aus irgendwelchen Gründen meine Views gedrittelt (vielleicht wegen der Kritik im letzten Bericht)😁. Welcome to the Smoking Tiki's hut! I will grow 4 autoflowering from Fast Buds in front of a South-East oriented window. One year ago, I received the seeds and conserved them into my fridge door. Now, the "FBT2304" has become the "Pound Cake Auto". I started with 8 seeds (2 for each strain). They all germinated! For each strain, I took the seed with the bigger root and put it in its final 1,5l pot. I didn't find my usual soil at the store so I took a variant of it, let's see how it goes. It's also the first time I'm adding some Mycorrhizal Inoculant (fungi) from Dynomyco. I mixed 15g of Dynomyco with the soil for each plant. The "SUN" column in the weekly report is filled based on my daily electricity production. My solar panels are oriented at 90° compared to the window but it's just to give a rough idea of the amount of light received by the plant. 0 : very cloudy day + : cloudy day ++ : sunny day +++ : very sunny day Have a nice journey through my grow diary!

Another mega grow this week. Plant is large and strong.

Blue Cheese is officially in beast mode. She’s spread wide like a bonsai and with over 30+ bud sites across a flat canopy. Every top is reaching for the light—she’s stacking up nicely and loving the MPK boost. The smell is starting to whisper cheesy promises, and the stretch is just about done. Leaves are praying, growth is explosive, and airflow is steady. To do list Light defoliation to open up lower sites. Feeding bloom nutrients + MPK for stacking.

This strain is not a 8 week, the bank should chance the time in the package and in the web, she is nice but we wanted a 8 week strain. The smell is good.

Found some sign of nutrient burn on leaf tip of one BCN. On the end of week 6 both BCN leaf looking turn to lighter shade not sure some problem? Pineapple starting show a bit of white hairy on top that start flowering on end of this week 6. I start to feed flower fuel on both BCN and another Pineapple i still feed same as last week.

Looking wonderful. Very close to harvesting. 90% of hairs are orange and the trichomes are 80% cloudy 20% clear I did notice some amber here and there but she's got a wee bit longer.
