The soil gets a new cover with fresh brewed grass mulch. I brewed hay and 15L water for 48h hours under air bubbles by 23°C. The remaining compost tea would still be used for watering. Two days later I waterted with 1,5L sf nematoden. . 🌱 Tag 21 – Eine Woche voller Experimente Drei Wochen alt. Eigentlich der Zeitpunkt, an dem junge Pflanzen einfach gemütlich wachsen, Wurzeln bilden und jeden Tag ein bisschen größer werden. In unserem Fall wurde daraus allerdings eine kleine Wissenschaftsshow mit mehreren unerwarteten Wendungen. Die Woche begann mit unserer ersten Düngung. Für uns war das Neuland und für unseren Gärtner offenbar auch. Nach vielen Jahren mit organischem Dünger musste er erst lernen, dass mineralische Nährstoffe nicht erst gemütlich auf ihre Freigabe warten, sondern sofort verfügbar sind. Das führte dazu, dass wir etwas früher gefüttert wurden, als es eigentlich nötig gewesen wäre. Zusätzlich gab es noch ein paar weitere Überraschungen: Der pH-Wert lief zeitweise nicht ganz wie geplant. 📦 Statt pH- wurde versehentlich pH+ geliefert. 🔄 Bei der ersten Nährstoffmischung wurden Grow A und Bloom A vertauscht. 🌱 Die Düngung begann etwas früher als optimal. Man könnte sagen, unser Gärtner hat diese Woche sehr viel gelernt. Wir Pflanzen nennen das lieber „praktische Feldforschung“. Zum Glück blieb es bei kleineren Problemen. Zwar waren wir zwischenzeitlich nicht immer ganz begeistert von den Mischungen im Tank, aber insgesamt konnten wir weiter wachsen und neue Blätter bilden. Wirklich dramatisch wurde es nie. Unser Wassertank lief die ganze Woche durchgehend. Da er allerdings mehrfach neu angesetzt wurde, weiß inzwischen niemand mehr so genau, wie viel Wasser wir tatsächlich verbraucht haben. Die Buchhaltung wurde wohl von einer Zimmerpflanze geführt. Folgende Nährstoffe kamen diese Woche zum Einsatz: Bittersalz: 0,5 g/L 🌿 Grow A + B ? Silica ⚡ Multi Total Für die nächste Mischung wird das Bittersalz bereits auf 0,3 g/L reduziert. Wieder etwas dazugelernt. Nicht ganz ohne Zwischenfälle verlief die Woche für Pflanze #2. Bei einer kleinen Pflegeaktion wurde einer ihrer Triebe versehentlich angeknackst. Für einen kurzen Moment sah es so aus, als hätte sie beschlossen, den Dienst zu quittieren. Zum Glück stellte sich der Schaden als weniger schlimm heraus als zunächst befürchtet. Der Trieb blieb erhalten und kämpft sich weiter durch. Pflanzen sind manchmal erstaunlich widerstandsfähig. Während Menschen bei kleinen Verletzungen häufig erst einmal das Internet nach ihren Symptomen durchsuchen, reparieren wir einfach unser Gewebe und wachsen weiter. Trotz aller kleinen Stolpersteine wachsen wir weiterhin ordentlich weiter. Unsere Blätter werden größer, unsere Stämme kräftiger und unter der Erde arbeiten die Wurzeln vermutlich längst an ihrem eigenen Ausbauprojekt. Im Vergleich zur letzten Woche sehen wir inzwischen deutlich erwachsener aus. Noch sind wir jung, aber langsam entwickeln wir uns zu richtigen Pflanzen und nicht mehr nur zu besonders ehrgeizigen Keimlingen. Nächste Woche hoffen wir auf etwas weniger Experimente im Nährstofftank und etwas mehr Routine. Andererseits wäre das Leben als Pflanze vielleicht auch langweilig, wenn immer alles perfekt laufen würde. 🌿 👨‍🌾 Gärtner: Diese Woche lief nicht alles nach Plan, aber dafür habe ich wahrscheinlich mehr gelernt als in den ersten beiden Wochen zusammen. Der größte Unterschied zu meinen bisherigen Grows war der Wechsel von organischem auf mineralischen Dünger. Beim nächsten Durchgang werde ich deutlich später mit der Düngung beginnen, vermutlich erst Ende Woche 3. Die größte Erkenntnis war, wie schnell mineralische Nährstoffe wirken und wie wichtig ein sauber eingestellter pH-Wert ist. Mit organischem Dünger hatte ich viele dieser Effekte nie direkt bemerkt, weil die Nährstoffe deutlich langsamer verfügbar werden. Zusätzlich sorgte eine falsche Lieferung für etwas Chaos. Statt pH- kam zunächst pH+ an, wodurch die Wasseraufbereitung deutlich komplizierter wurde als geplant. Inzwischen ist das Problem aber gelöst und zukünftige Mischungen sollten deutlich entspannter verlaufen. Fehler gehören dazu, besonders wenn man neue Methoden ausprobiert. Wichtig ist am Ende, daraus zu lernen und die Pflanzen genau zu beobachten. Bisher haben sie mir zum Glück alle Fehler teils verziehen. 🌱 p.s. neue LST Haken!

Harvested a week early because of bud rot caused by calcium deficiency. I did a triple wash with hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and plain water to rinse. Note for future Coco needs a lot of calcium and magnesium. With constant drip system you need way less nutrients in solution. Check PH if you use calcium sulfate or silica!!! Once cured the weed has a good nutty smell with a little berry. It’s not very resinous, it has a good mind numbing effect but doesn’t lost more than one hour for 3/4 puffs, this is because of early harvest for sure because my previous crop was lot more potent.

Actually there are lots of nice colors coming through in the buds, and a little purple in the leaves Giving Black a bit longer before I do the same **** Mon 13 Jan - day 62 **** I gave Black a bit of a trim the other day - she's about 40 cm and must weigh double the other Red is looking very close to finish - see today's video No feeding of any kind Water is from the tap at PH 7, they are drinking a liter a day, Black a bit more even **** Tue 14 Jan - day 63 **** The top of Red is starting to show some blueberry colors - now I'm interested in what happens if I leave her longer Both seem to have stopped growing some time ago - maybe concentrating on flowering Black plant is I guess a week behind Red, but Red really peaked early Looking forward to the final stages Having done scientific tests, I can affirm this is going to be pretty good That's week 9, cheers all

This is the final week of nutes for the ladies! Time to flush her for the coming week. Also read that Purple Punch needs cold temps at night to turn color. Since I can't do that where I live, an alternative is to flush her with ice water. Giving that a try and will keep you guys updated.

07/31/2019 She wants to flower outside she gets 14.5 hours of sunlight, and flowering will definatly grow in garden next year as she flowering early and no doubt that she be done before first freeze, I was hoping to veg a little longer but I made more clones but all four clones are going along great and I picked a new mom. This girl, I fed her Espoma garden tone 5-10-5 which is good for 30 days hope for a nice stretch, difinatly stronger against powdery mildew than my Banana Kush plant, nice OG scents in the air she's going to stink!

Divine indica is growing great. She has about a week of bulking left. She has some nice fat colas developing. She has a light nitrogen deficiency going on. I am okay with that and did add more when I topped her solution off. She has been very hungry and thirsty. Everything is going really well. I have the light on at around 70 percent durle to avoiding it getting too hot or intense on colas. Trying to anyway. A light spectrum in the scope of 400 to 700nm induces growth and development, and UV (100–400nm) and infrared (700–800nm) light play a role in plant morphogenesis—which is essentially the process of plants developing their physical form and external structure. Optimizing Your Knowledge in the Grow Room To maximize your yield, always aim for 40 moles, or 40,000,000 μmol, per day. Here is how much PPFD is needed per second for each phase of cannabis growth to achieve the DLI of 40 moles of light per day. Seedling phase (18hr cycle): 200–300 μmol m-2 s-1 Vegetative phase (18hr cycle): 617 μmol m-2 s-1 Flowering phase (12hr cycle): 925 μmol m-2 s-1, (1500 μmol m-2 s-1 @2000ppm co2) (ballpark) When choosing grow lights for cannabis, it is essential to check the technical specifications to determine if they are strong enough to get the job done. Of course, this doesn't mean that you have to buy the most expensive lights there are. Still, it does mean that you should research each of these specifications in relation to your cannabis plants to find a grow light that will fully serve your needs. This is especially true with PPFD, as this is arguably the most insightful value for growers—it tells you exactly how much useful light your plants are absorbing at a certain distance from the grow light. With my fixed light source, as the plant develop height through stages, it will naturaslly grow into higher μmol ranges naturally dictated by its height. ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL5 (HY5), a bZIP-type transcription factor, acts as a master regulator that regulates various physiological and biological processes in plants such as photomorphogenesis, root growth, flavonoid biosynthesis and accumulation, nutrient acquisition, and response to abiotic stresses. HY5 is evolutionally conserved in function among various plant species. HY5 acts as a master regulator of a light-mediated transcriptional regulatory hub that directly or indirectly controls the transcription of approximately one-third of genes at the whole genome level. The transcription, protein abundance, and activity of HY5 are tightly modulated by a variety of factors through distinct regulatory mechanisms. This review primarily summarizes recent advances in HY5-mediated molecular and physiological processes and regulatory mechanisms on HY5 in the model plant Arabidopsis as well as in crops. Plants utilize light as the predominant energy source for photosynthesis. Besides, light signal acts as an essential external factor that mediates a variety of physiological and developmental processes in plants. Plants are continuously exposed to dynamically changing light signals due to the daily and seasonal alternation in natural conditions. The various light signals are perceived by at least five classes of wavelength-specific photoreceptors including phytochromes (phyA-phyE), cryptochromes (CRY1 and CRY2), phototropin (PHOT1 and PHOT2), F-box containing flavin binding proteins (ZTL, FKF1, and (LKP2), and UV-B RESISTANCE LOCUS 8 (UVR8). These photoreceptors are biologically activated by various light signals, subsequently initiating a large scale of transcriptional reprogramming at the whole genome level. Extensive genetic and biochemical studies have established that the ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL5 (HY5), a bZIP-type transcription factor, tightly controls the light-regulated transcriptional alternation. Loss of HY5 function mutant seedlings display drastically elongated hypocotyls in various light conditions, suggesting that HY5 acts downstream of multiple photoreceptors in promoting photomorphogenesis in plants. In addition to inhibiting hypocotyl growth, HY5 regulates other various physiological and developmental processes including root growth, pigment biosynthesis and accumulation, responses to various hormonal signals, and low and high temperatures. This review summarizes the recent advances and progress in HY5-regulated cellular, physiological, and developmental processes in various plant species. We also highlighted emerging insights regarding the HY5-mediated integration of multiple developmental, external, and internal signaling inputs in the regulation of plant growth. Among the genes regulated by the circadian clock, we found that the excision repair protein XPA is controlled by the biological clock, and we, therefore, asked whether the entire nucleotide excision repair oscillates with daily periodicity. XPA transcription and protein levels are at a maximum at around 5 pm and at a minimum at around 5 am. Importantly, the entire excision repair activity shows the same pattern. This led to the prediction that mice would be more sensitive to UV light when exposed at 5 am (when repair is low), compared to 5 pm (when repair is high). We proceeded to test this prediction. We irradiated two groups of mice with UV at 5 am and 5 pm, respectively, and found that the group irradiated at 5 am exhibited a 4–5 fold higher incidence of invasive skin carcinoma than the group irradiated at 5 pm. Currently, we are investigating whether this rhythmicity of excision repair exists in humans. Molecular mechanism of the mammalian circadian clock. CLOCK and BMAL1 are transcriptional activators, which form a CLOCK-BMAL1 heterodimer that binds to the E-box sequence (CACGTG) in the promoters of Cry and Per genes to activate their transcription. CRY and PER are transcriptional repressors, and after an appropriate time delay following protein synthesis and nuclear entry, they inhibit their own transcription, thus causing the rise and fall of CRY and PER levels with circa 24-hour periodicity (core clock). The core clock proteins also act on other genes that have E-boxes in their regulatory regions. As a consequence, about 30% of all genes are clock-controlled genes (CCG) in a given tissue and hence exhibit daily rhythmicity. Among these genes, the Xpa gene, which is essential for nucleotide excision repair, is also controlled by the clock. Circadian control of excision repair and photocarcinogenesis in mice. The core circadian clock machinery controls the rhythmic expression of XPA, such that XPA RNA and protein levels are at a minimum at 5 am and at a maximum at 5 pm. The entire excision repair system, therefore, exhibits the same type of daily periodicity. As a consequence, when mice are irradiated with UVB at 5 am they develop invasive skin carcinoma at about 5-fold higher frequency compared to mice irradiated at 5 pm when repair is at its maximum. The mouse in the picture belongs to the 5 am group with multiple invasive skin carcinomas at the conclusion of the experiment.

1/11/2024 Vegetation Week 1 Day 1- I have a root almost in the water.. Yay!! Top feeding is almost done. she is looking a little sad as I work the transition Top feeding but once the roots are fully in the water she will start to take off. Ensured my PPFD is set between 250-300 it is set to: 258 1/12/2024 Vegetation Week 1 Day 2- I have a root in the water.... NO TOP FEED TODAY SIR!!! now that a root is touching the water and she looks stable, I am not going to topfeed, I will see how she looks tomorrow and as long as everything looks good I am going to go ahead and do a change and week 1 fill on Nutes.. I know it is a couple of days in but the same Nutes go through Week 2 and get changed at Week 3 So I should be good to go.. I will just ensure I fill to root touching the water when I change tomorrow. 1/13/2024 Vegetation Week 1 Day 3- Water Change Day!! I added 36 Gallons of Water to the system: Silica= .5mil/gal= 18mil CalMag= .75mil/gal = 27mil FloraMicro=3.0mil/gal = 108mil FloraGro=2.0mil/gal = 72mil FloraBloom= 2.0mil/gal = 72mil PH DOWN= 30mil Very important thing with this system is to now wait the 24 hours for the system to adjust.. Do not make any further adjustments to your PH up or Down for 24 hours to allow time for the system to balance. 1/14/2024 Vegetation Week 1 Day 4- Today I just adjusted the PH to ensure that it was right at 6.0 1/15/2024 Vegetation Week 1 Day 5- Today I Cleaned up the lower damaged leaves from the transition from top feeding to roots in the water. She looks good today. 1/16/2024 Vegetation Week 1 Day 6- Today I just took a picture of the beautiful lady for Log. Other than that just normal day to day operations, check the pH, check the Humidifiers and fill as necessary, check level of water in the Res. Everything looks great. onto Tomorrow!! 1/17/2024 Vegetation Week 1 Day 7- Today I filled the humidifers, checked the PH and just let her grow.. Grow baby Grow.....

Week 4 and buds are beginning to fatten up nicely, I’ve changed the position of the gelato and one of the Zkittles to improve light penetration into the canopy as the leaves have began to defoliate themselves from the plants. This being said all plants are looking green and healthy and show minimum environment stress. Hopefully this change in the canopy will allow each of the strains to grow to their full potential with the limited space that I have.
