Well, today was the last day veging. I defoliated the lower 20%, switched on the red LEDs and set the timer to 12h. I activated the 2nd fan inside the box and also switched on the mini fan connected to the cooled hood. I'll leave it open until the stretch or the smell begins. As soon as there's any smell, I'll close the system by adding the glass shield. Also, I'll save the resulting temperature drop for the later weeks so... let's see... Nutrients added: about nothing. I read somewhere you should flush the plants before the switch so I just feed a normal quantity of water with only a bit of nutrients. It's around a 1/20th of the recommended dose maybe. Let the adventure begin!

Week 4 for Strawberry Gorilla by Fastbuds She's clearly enjoyed her FPJ feeding that she got, look at the size of her compared to last week.... She may end up larger than Moby dick but i think that would be asking for too much😂 I will be moving her outdoors today most likely maybe tomorrow if i dont have time to do it. If you see in the video shes actually got some fasciation going on where one of my side branches was almost like doubled and ended up topping itself & splitting into 2 😂 Happy with her progress 😁

Agora sim o período de luz está em 12/12. Liguei o adicional de luz que alcança mais no espectro, o tom de vermelho, comecei entrar com ácido húmico, e uma proporção de NPK para suprir as necessidades da floração (BioBloom e TopMax). Com a mudança da luz, previsivelmente a planta começou a crescer bastante em altura, porém ainda não apresentou sinais de pré flora, o que é normal. Com certeza na próxima atualização veremos alguns pistilos.

They are all showing sex and doing really well. Hoping with what we learned in our first grow that these three ladies end up with nice big firm buds. Based on their structure thus far I think these ladies have real promise.

Constructive interference is the phenomenon where two waves combine to form a new wave with a larger amplitude. This occurs when the peaks of one wave align with the peaks of another, and troughs align with troughs, causing their amplitudes to add together. For example, if two identical waves meet, their amplitudes will combine to produce a resultant wave with double the original amplitude. Constructive interference is a fundamental phenomenon based on the universal laws of nature, specifically the principle of superposition. 👋Top is a clean cut, no confusion for the plant, road ahead is clear, by completely removing the main growth tip, the auxin source is eliminated. The plant permanently halts vertical growth from that main stem and immediately sends its energy and hormones to the two new, evenly spaced branches just below the cut. Fimming slightly different because a small tuft of the top growth is left behind, the auxin disruption is temporary and less severe. The plant recovers more quickly and sends its energy to multiple surrounding growth points, often creating four or more new shoots from the same spot. It will eventually regain some vertical dominance after a few weeks if left to its own devices, but with a little more LST, bending the apex to the same height as the rest of the internodes, this shatters dominance, hopefully creating around 8-9 main shoots growing at equal height once recovered and grown out. Reduced environmental intensity for now and let her focus on dealing with this new stress for a week or two. As H+ ions increase, the proportion of acid cations (H+ and Al3+) on the exchange sites increases, while base cations (Ca2+, Mg2+, K+) decrease, resulting in a lower soil pH. The amount of photosynthesis (water splitting) directly determines the availability of H+ ions (protons) in a plant. 90% of water is for cooling of photosynthetic apparatus the other 10% is split for its H+ among others things. Carbon sugars, like glucose, do oxidize in soil through a process primarily driven by microorganisms, which break down these sugars for energy. This oxidation converts the sugars into carbon dioxide (CO2) through cellular respiration, a key part of the soil carbon cycle, though some carbon may also be incorporated into soil organic matter. The rate and extent of sugar oxidation depend on factors like oxygen availability, the presence of Fe oxides, and soil redox conditions, which can all influence the process. My understanding of why we flush. Just plain water, what does it do? Strips the medium of salts and nutrients making it empty. What does that do? Triggers nutrient recycling within the plant. What's nutrient recycling? It is a natural part of plant senescence, which can be triggered once you know the switches. A 24:1 carbon-to-nitrogen ratio will also trigger. Why won't it trigger autophagy for me? Nitrogen needs to be gone, gone, gone almost. Ammoniacal (organic) nitrogen takes 4-5 times more water to separate it from soil particles than nitrates so what happens is most people jist flush the nitrates, leave all the ammoniacal in there and this prevents autophagy initiating. Nitrogen decays differently depending on its form during the dry. Ammoniacal nitrogen will oxidize in the air, leaving no trace. But nitrates do no decay and turn volatile and smelly and remain trapped until smoked, no matter how long you cure it does not oxidize. This is why you need to trigger it and begin the denitrification process prior to harvest to get rid of all the nitrates. Otherwise, you will smoke it. Flush till autophagy begins, just make sure you add no nitrogen afterwards. Micronutrients for trichomes. Don't leave the medium empty for 2 weeks, that does nothing but reduce yield 10%ish. Trichomes are another thing. Trichomes themselves are not directly affected by flushing; rather, flushing affects the plant's nutrient uptake, which influences the development and final state of the trichomes. Trichomes are filled with antioxidants in the last weeks, which is what makes them cloudy. A lot of the processing of antioxidants requires energy and nutrients (mostly micronutrients ), so you don't want that soil empty for 2 weeks, you just want the carbon nitrogen ratio 24:1and no higher. She still wants what she needs to ripen. Processing antioxidants is energy-intensive; heat and light accelerate the rate at which THC converts to CBN. This is why you lower DLI, lower temps. By doing so, you reduce the oxidative workload caused by photosynthesis, which opens up the oxidative capacity for the production of antioxidants. THC is mostly processed at night when the plant's oxidative capacity is generally moreso "free and available" for work. Oxygen is the alchemist's "fire"

Plant is doing well, its definitely slow to grow buds, but all the stems have multiple bud sites with lots of pistils, some trichomes are just starting to develop. Cant wait to watch true buds form this week! Ill be doing a water change on saturday, and upping the PK booster "big bud" Its the end of week 4, and there are tons of sugar leaves forming on the colas, true buds are starting, and theres decent trichomes forming. Most of the main tops are super close to the lights, but theyre not burning because I turned down the intensity after noticing minor burn last week

Olá amigos, passou uma semana, houve um bom desenvolvimento, o jardim está a ficar bonito 😅 as três variedades da barney's são muito boas, e tb acho que estou um pouco melhor nesta segunda vez de cultivo interior que faço na vida, a runtz muffin é uma planta bastante robusta tal como a BlueBerry OG com um crescimento normal, a shiskaberry ora a shyscaberry 🤔 nunca tinha visto uma planta assim.. estão a crescer ramos novos nos ramos laterais, mas que planta cheia de força, amanhã vou mudar o ciclo da luz para floração (12/12). Espero que continue assim com êxito, aceito sugestões, grato amigos 🌳🌱🍀☮️✌️

Buds are getting heavier Day by Day now, looks very nice to see those compact buds grow... Day 70 The plants are in their 10th week and stacking nicely. Buds are dense, frosty, and starting to show that heavy, mature look. Trichomes are cloudy on most parts, and the smell has intensified a lot. Unfortunately, today I noticed a problem: one of the colas showed signs of bud rot (Botrytis). This happened because my exhaust fan (carbon filter system) was off for about 4 hours, which caused humidity to spike inside the tent. I immediately removed the affected bud and cut a bit deeper into the healthy tissue to make sure no rot remains. From now on I’ll be extra careful with airflow and humidity: Keeping RH below 50% Checking the fan setup twice a day Adding extra circulation inside the tent The rest of the plant looks healthy and unaffected, but I’ll monitor closely every day. This is the stage where dense flowers are most vulnerable. Overall, despite this setback, the grow is going well. The harvest window is getting close, and if everything stays clean, it should still be a solid yield.

Day 6 update - adjusted tie down points and watered. Still no pests and no other significant signs of stress. They ladies are happy and healthy. Day 3 update - Two of the plants have started transitioning into flower. Next week BB1 and BB3 will be dubbed in flower. BB2 pheno is strange I just can't quite tell if it's even in flower... it's lanky and strange. Temps have been steady and now that the heat in the home is on I have to watch heat stress again. BB3 has recovered fully now with new growth looking absolutely perfect. No problems with pests or anything else at the moment. ....Previously.... (day 7 of week 3 - day 1 week 4) One feeding of baking soda to raise the PH of the soil. I decided to tie the girls down the last day of week 3. The topped plant (Bb2) looks more like the strain should than the other 2 phenotypes according to pictures. But the BB1 pheno is so bushy it will be a bigger yeilder for sure. The Bb3 pheno has recovered a bit we will see if the baking soda addition to the top watering helps rebound her better. Selective defoliation was done on all 3 phenos with some under growth getting removed and a couple target fan leaves blocking prime budsites.
