7cm vertical growth this week! Nice flower development too! Starting to see a bit of purple on her flowers!

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Beautiful lady! Idk what day she went to. She finished up right as we came home from vacation so I just had to handle her the best I could before her ripening too far. I’m so happy with her she smells Devine! So sweet like candy and straight gas! So sticky took forever to trim for trim jail. I’m so so happy with her!!!!

Merry Christmas y’all! Week 4 is behind Topped both Mimosa and Cookies, they took it like champs! They exploded immediately with side grow. Such a pleasure to watch them strive. Increased EC from under 1 to 1.5 and they are super happy with it. Probably will climb to 2 to see how they like it. Getting closer to preflower would completely flush till runout is even with water poured in and would start adding flowering boosters. Starting to like coco for the full control and immediate reaction to my actions and the chance to fix my screwups. A bit of a hustle to water every day tho :) Best wishes to you and your close ones! Week 6th done so far so good i put scrog net down and small bit of defoliation to get some air flow through the canopy next week i will be put another scog net down to open some light penetration for the lower buds

Trasplant day! Nothing special going on. Im excited to see how these turn out. Not to much visul difference between the LCR and the Papa at this point.

6/19/2024 These are going to be My next run. Excited Transplanted into 1 gal and added (too) much myko powder. 6/23 she completely drooped and is showing signs of stress or shock. 6/25bent her in half. She was starting to harden off(up?) But I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with her yet. I knew I was going to train or top or something. She wouldn't become much more than a single cola and a handful of buds(I assume). Either way I can shape her up as we go. 🙈🙉🙊 6/24/24 applied veg nutes. Terp tea grow 711. A single tsp or 5 ml per gallon of substrate. I need to remember to add uprising foundation as well

17 weeks now and I'll give one more week for my Dwarf to see how the trichomes will being. About the Northern Lights, I don't know if I'll wait for her to get the point that I'd like. I'm having problems drying my two Jacks because I don't have a proper space to do it so I had to improve. So, maybe I'll cut both together using the Dwarf as reference...cuz she's going big, maybe the biggest yield among them. As a first attempt to growing, I'm quite excited.

**Update** 96.5 grams dry from 1 Autoflower! Amazing smells, still has some of the 🍈 funk. She needs to cure to let the Terps and Flavors come out. She is still very sticky and resinous. Will update once a week or two of cure is done, but with the 1 joint I smoked, full heavy hitter, body buzz and heavy head high. Looking forward to the finished product. This plant flourished with little work on my part. Good nutrients, and not being too hands on let this beast do her own thing. I would definitely recommend as a beginner strain/auto flower to go with, she is easy to see through to the end. Didn’t really need much attention until flower came on and she fed hard for phosphorus and potassium while she stacked. I’ve got some of her cousins already sprouted and am looking forward to trying some different techniques to see what she can do! Happy growing all 🌱😎

This week one of the plants has really began looking tropical and the smell is danker by the day. It wreaks of fruity gas in my tent. Everything is basically on cruise control from here. Two of the plants look ready for a flush while the others are a week or two behind. One of the phenos is a good bit behind and was since day one but looks like it will yield a good bit. 🍻🍻 Mid week: I spotted few amber trichomes and started flushing on two of the 5 girls. One is way behind and two are maybe a week behind. 👌💨 Ready for these beauties to finish😍

Plants are doing well. I'm going to top them soon. I tend to wait on topping to reduce stress, you never want to remove more that 1/3 of the plant( to each their own). I'll be FIMing the Sensi Star and Topping the Peyote. Pretty sure I stunted the White Widow from exposing it to the cold snap we had back in late February. I will top it and try and clone off the topping and see if that clone takes off. In my past I cloned plants outside in Mid June back in 2012 on 5 foot Agent Oranges, those clones caught up to the plants outside and eventually outperformed them, in less than two months. Never would have found that out if I didn't try. Happy growing everyone!

We are at 21 days from these girls breaking the surface and they are making progress. I noticed at the beginning of the week that they were a little overdosed on nitrogen so I added 2 gallons of tap water to the reservoir and adjusted the ph to 6. They are still looking a little heavy on N but their growth rate is going great so I think it should balance out by the end of next week. I dont plan on doing a water change until I flower them. I left the plants alone most of the week. Tied most of them down to spread them out and defoliated a few lower leaves on day 20. The branches on most of these plants are thick and solid already. They don't budge easily. Bananasicle is looking pretty funky with uneven branch and node growth but we are just going to push forward. Still pumping nutrients and beaming light 24 hours a day. I'm thinking day 28 we will switch them to flower and see if any of these ladies can bring some❄️🔥💨

Now we've reached day 25. We are in the transition phase, pre-flowering if you want, when the seedlings reveal their sex by showing the white fluff or the boyish balls. Here and in all F1 Hybrids you can be SURE, SURE as death that you will never see any balls. If you have underestimated this aspect of the F1 Hybrid, go back and think about how many times you found the balls on the paint, full of pollen that fertilized your ladies. Do you like having young ladies impregnate you? Absolutely not for me and this is a very valid reason why you can choose the F1 Hybrid. Really guys the seeds suck and the genetics of the various breeders if they don't do a job like this it means that they are super hybrid poles with genetic traces scattered here and there. Inglourious bastards. Here we don't want to be Aryan but to cultivate healthy plants with safe results. Let's be clear, this is minor and is due to the fact that these genetics are so good that they need very little or no fertilizer in the vegetative phase. I gave the recommended doses even a little less to tell the truth of both Aptus and Plagron and the plants more or less all have these small signs of over. LITTLE guys, wait until the end to save if you feel like it, or at least I recommend it. To fix this little thing we go to flush with pH 6.2 and only give Aptus Regulator which should rebalance the plant and soil before delicately moving on to fertilizers for flowering.
