Week 6 update: What up Grow family. These testers are growing fast and strong. Where in week 6 now and the swelling and ripening of flowers are going amazing. Still feeding 500ml/16oz daily as I've found that's the sweet spot for 3gal fabric pots for these. I'd say these probably have about 2 weeks left until they'll be finished. All in all Happy Growing.

This one certainly a lot taller than the rest have levelled out best i can by propping the others on boxes to raise them Little bit of late trimming underneath to help airflow and to avoid rot with it being little cramped Happy with plant so far i guess although i would have preferred it to be more like the others bushier and shorter Not too bad overall though cant wait to see things all fatten up in this second half of flower now

Not bad not bad, by the looks of it she'll be a fatty but i just hope that she'll be ready at the same time as the others. The SWAMPMONSTER ran out of juice so no SMART PROTEINS for these this week, but holly smokes looks like that swamp thing potion does lasting work on the plants : they're just popping the f off ! faster than any auto i've ever grown, and i'm grow diaries native so you can see all my other grows ever lol anyway, as you can see these have started developing side shoots and it's week 3 . Never seen a plant like this in my life, well dont be surprised it's my first photo , so yeah, just glad a found a way around that longish veg for a photo ! these are 3 weeks in, maybe they've got a couple more weeks of veg in them tops , some will stay vegged for the rotation, any questions welcome ! in case you were wondering it's just plain water until i get more juice maybe some more beneficials but that's just about it that's planned ! 🚀

Sorry for the lack of update on these ladies, but everyone is doing fine, great amount of growth coming. Just been flipped to flower on a 12/12 schedule.

Both Barbarian (=AK-47 x Barbara Bud) plants continue to grow and now start to develop the first flower clusters. They both have a healthy green color and love the Advanced Nutrients feeding schedule. The Barbarian plant#1 is still shorter than plant#2, but both have bushed out fine now and continue to grow more budding sites. After this week I will take off the biggest fan leaves for defoliation in order to let the light penetrate better thru the canopy.

Week 5 At the beginning of the week I set up and tested auto-pot system for 2 plants using the same reservoir of feed water. All connections work fine with no leaks, the floats are free moving and work as intended, I have air pumping into the reservoir and all connections are good there as well. I used black tubing for the feed lines and placed towels over he reservoirs to block out light from the water in the system. After all checks were made, I placed the plants in the pots and turned the system on. At the end of the week I had 3 new nodes of growth since the last topping, so I topped for the third time (4 cuts this week on the 4 set from last week and also removed the lowest). I now have 8 colas set. Feed this week was 400ppm total before add-ins. I used 360ppm Veg concentrate mix (recipe week 2) and 40ppm Bloom concentrate mix (recipe above). However, I also added 1ml/gal of CaliMagic (General Hydroponics 1-0-0) to all feeds and ph balance this week was for 6.3. Next week will consist of training the colas to go where I want them to. I plan to train 6 to the outer ring and 2 to the inner ring. Once I have enough new growth I will set the tomato rings and possibly start wire training. Feed will increase in total ppm and bloom mix and I plan to reduce ph to the 5.8 range slowly, so about 6.1 this week and 5.9 next before flip on week 9.

This was my first time growing outdoors, and this variety did well in Eastern Ontario region. I started seeds indoors and put the mainlined plants in the garden in early May. They were done flowering September 27th. The plants were beautiful and purple. The flavour is sweet and earthy. This is remains my favourite variety. One thing I learned from this outdoor grow is that I need to allow more space between plants. One of these Purple Kush plants was choked out and didn't grow as well as she could have. Next year I'll do a better job.
