Hello Growmies,
Week 3 for our Watermelon Candy by Zamnesia is unfolding with promise as we observe their transition through pre-flower. Opting for low-stress training over topping, we're guiding their growth gently to maximize their potential. The plants have gracefully reached our SCROG, and with two already skillfully trained, they are demonstrating adaptability and robustness.
Through the canopy, we see an even spread of foliage, indicating that our LST approach is on point. The structure of the plants is sturdy, showing that the careful maneuvering through the SCROG mesh has been well received. The greenery is lush, leaves are perked up, reaching for the light—signs that our Watermelon Candy plants are in their element and thriving.
Our environmental management has mirrored the successful strategies implemented with our Epic Buzz and Red Banana Pudding strains. Daytime conditions are meticulously controlled, with the Tent-X system maintaining VPD within the ideal range for healthy plant activity. However, as we've noted with our other strains, our nighttime VPD control presents a challenge. The data indicate a discrepancy in maintaining optimal humidity levels when the lights are off, suggesting that our current setup is not fully regulating the environment during these crucial hours.
The intention to integrate the Smart Mars Hydro fan into the Tent-X system is a move towards rectifying this issue, with the aim to achieve a seamless 24-hour environmental control. The transition to this enhanced system will ensure that our Watermelon Candy plants receive the same level of consistent care throughout their entire growth cycle.
Their current robust state and the proactive steps we are taking to fine-tune their environment have set a strong foundation for the weeks to come. We will continue to monitor their progress closely, making adjustments where necessary, and anticipating a bountiful flowering stage ahead.

That was the most difficult week. It was very cold and rainy, the humidity of the air reached 90% at most, but without sequels, thank God. On day 63, I defoliated and she is strong, fat and definitely smells like cheese.

Currently checking daily and tying away branches/leaves to give the buds more light and watering when the soil is dry. Currently my plants drink exactly 1,5L a day. I have the feeling that the right plant is lacking a bit of potassium. I'll leave everything as it is for now because the left plant (fresh new soil) is growing well. Since the right plant is quite bushy anyway, I'll defoliate it again later and remove any lower shoots. I started adding the Bio PK booster towards the middle of the first week of flowering, 2ml per liter of water; as the pH value drops too much, I correct it upwards with Biobizz pH up - from pH 5.5 to 6.5 for 3L, I add a total of 39 drops. My water is mixed as follows: 3L osmosis water, plus 6ml CalMag, 6ml BioPK 5-8 and 39 drops of pH + BioBizz.

Habe mich hier gerade registriert, weswegen ich dieses Diary erst ab der 10. Woche anfange.
Kurz zur Erklärung:
Wir hatten eine Tangerine Dream Auto von Barney's Farm im 3L-Topf mit einer Habibi-LED-Lampe von Crescience. - Allerdings ohne Zelt, da wir uns das Leben einer Cannabispflanze als totale Newbees mal anschauen wollten.
Sie wuchs zierlich (wurde aber auch schon über 50 cm groß) und brachte kleinere aber schöne Blüten. Allerdings war sie durch unsere Ahnungslosigkeit und meine Ernährungsfehler so gestresst, dass sie gezwittert ist und sich sogar selbst bestäubt hat.
Die Pflanze, um die es in diesem Diary geht, ist ein Samen von ihr ( - also kein "echter" BF-Strain).
Mittlerweile ist sie ab Erdboden 175 cm groß mit einer 35 cm langen Kola auf dem Haupttrieb. Eine echte Long Tall Sally.
Das "Zelt" ist eine Improvisation aus einem Gitterregal mit nur noch einem Boden, an dem die Lampe hängt, und einem darüber geworfenem Grow-Zelt. Da das Prachtstück aber mit Topf knapp 2 m hoch ist, steht das Gitterregal zusätzlich noch auf vier gleich dicken Büchern. ;-)
Am Anfang machte ich ihr gleich Stress, da ich sie zu spät umtopfte. Fette Ringwurzeln im kleinen Anzuchttopf waren die Konsequenz. Nachdem ich die etwas zerissen hatte, damit sie aus dem Teufelskreis wieder raus kommt, dauerte das Warten 3 lange Tage. Aber dann ging's los - als ob nichts passiert wäre.
Ich füttere die Pflanze locker und etwas schwächer nach dem Feeding-Plan von Crazy Hills (aktuell WK 5 der Blüte). Die einzige Ausnahme ist, dass ich jedem Gießwasser der Pflanze - von der Wiege bis zur Bahre - als Prophylaxe CalMag hinzufüge. Ich habe zuviel gelesen und gehört, was Growen unter LED angeht. Sie scheint es zu mögen, zumindest sagen die Blätter nichts Gegenteiliges. :-)

Bud sites are getting ready now. I did a bit more LST and removed a few side shoots which never gonna make it due to lack of light.
I replaced the light, under the TS 1000 she was praying all day long.
On the previous run I had problems with the FC3000, it was turning itself off at random times. Mars Hydro was kindly sent me a replacement controller, so far it seems like this problem has been solved.
However, I tried to use the app again and it’s still shite. 💩😂 So I just use the light in manual mode. Such a shame for the extra features I cannot use.
For DLI I will use the following chart:
AUTO FLOWER LED LIGHT INTENSITY
Recommended LED PPF/PAR Values / DLI Based on 20 hrs. of light.
Seedlings 150 - 200 umol / DLI 10.80 - 14.4 moles per day
Veg up to 9" 450 umol / DLI 32.40 moles per day
Early bloom 500 umol / DLI 36.00 moles per day
Mid bloom 650 umol / DLI 46.80 moles per day
Late bloom 750 umol / DLI 54.00 moles per day
Ripen 400 umol / DLI 28.80 moles per day
*** Use extreme caution going 700 umol or higher @ 20 hrs/day this could cause leaf burn***
The only difference is that I will keep this run in 18/6, so I ignore the PAR values above.
IMO the best thing you can do is to read the leaves all the time and use the charts as a guidance.

A great week with the buds really swelling in size and the smell getting more potent!
Gave it a last bit of molasses and continued with the flush.
Trichomes are milky with a few clear still.
Super excited to harvest soon!!!

I flushed the pots once this week.
And use once with enhancer and a very small dose of shrot flowering fertilizer.
And I tried very hard to lower the humidity and make the daytime temperature not more than 25 degrees

Lemon auto plant is having some issues. Purple Haze Auto and other Lemon Auto are doing fine with zero issues. I've noticed that the Purple plant is now starting it's preflower phase, just a week a or after the lemons🍋 and that calyxes are slight pink to a purple!
I've also realized I've been watering with Reverse Osmosis but not doing slurry tests as previous cultivars haven't needed to have PH up or down, I have almost 5 acidic water with EC 20, PPM 15. I was feeding 2ml cal/mg before I had toxic symptoms on all plants except bagseed. Anyways, my ph is too high and my soil reader is old at and saying 6...i feel like this plant has both Geranium Rust Fungus and mg deficiency. I will PH my water to 7 and add 2mL cal/mag per Gal and let sit 24hrs before watering.
Bagseed plant, so strange but has the center of my attention. This has to be a landrace strain from back in the days when brick weed and schwagg was still hip(I still love brick weed myself!) as it isn't expressing alot of hybrid vigor. Branching and frame of this plant is very Indica and I see no definitive example of plants true sex...this being almost 60 days into this grow. That and the sex parts aren't showing balls or spikes either, just crab like growths, almost like a premature leafset at the middle of a axiom but smaller. Weird.
I removed these plants stand which gave an extra 12" off the ground, lowered lights 4", bam..within 2 hours all plants were "praying" like to say "thank you for moving me away from that hot ass light, shit!" Lol Could be light burn for the one lemon auto. Will keep you updated.

Well a couple issues in the grow room this week. The ladies got much bigger that I had expected! They trippled in size and now I have an issue of them getting a bit too tall. The light I am using says 30-36" above canopy...light is high as it can go and I'm about 28-32 above the canopy. From the info I've looked through I think I had light bleaching going on. I turned the light down 20% and doesn't seem to be happening any more.
I am also having a war with the weather. I'm in canada and the weather is all over the place rite now. Drastic temp swings and humidity up and down.
Other than this the ladies seem to be rolling along well . Can't wait for the colas to fill !
Staked all the branches in preparation for some hopefully big buds

El secado fgue bantante rapido, olorosas, sabrosas al comsumo y asotan como toda una verdadera indica. la cosecha es poca, pero la sepa es exotica. Muchos terpenos, los colores de la sepa son violetosos y verde flourecente. La recomiendo altamente, solo que su cosecha por planta es poca.

Week 8 - The smell on these is out of this world I believe ever bit these can beat a photoperiod I went ahead and watered with nutes for the last day today going to begin flushing these last 2 weeks good luck growers Wish me luck I need it lol !

Fed/watered with 1 gallon of the above listed nutrients, every 3 days. (when the growing medium becomes 95% dry)
Gave her a light selective de-leafing, to open up the inner bud-sites to more light.
The timelapse shows me why I won't be transplanting like this again. (Slow growth/lost time from constricted root mass)
