Other than the ever present leaf hoppers, which love the leaves and an occasional Japanese Beetle, there aren't any serious pest issues currently. I gave her water with a tablet of RQS Easy Grow Booster and a tablet of RQS Easy Plus Micronutrients. Another week has flown by! The girls are doing great, cruise control this week as I have just been monitoring RH and temps. Trying to keep them as low as possible, I’ve been getting as low as 74 during the day and 68 at night. I finally took a look a look at the trichomes with my jewellers loop, lots of cloudy, and a few amber around the leaves and top colas, but still lot’s of clear trichomes. I’ve ordered myself a wireless/usb digital microscope to assist with the process, and looks like it will be here just in time to determine harvest day. 😎🎄 I started by eliminating the nutrients at the beginning of the week. I typically allow for 3-4 pure water feeds before I harvest, and at the rate they have been drinking, this should be enough to get through the 7-12 days they have before harvest. I don’t flush, but rather “rinse” with normal water amounts, allowing the plant to use up the remaining nutrients in the soil. This also allows me to recover most of the soil from my grows and reuse ♻️ with other soil mix. There has been great debate and a great deal of bro science out there for many years, but the recent studies suggest there is no difference in end result when it comes to flushing or using nutrients right until the end, if a proper dry and cure is performed. TDS meter went bad so my reads are off (low), but until I replace it... Starting LST today, unfortunately the main topped branchs on Gelato #2 split down the middle, I have taped up hopefully to heal. All plants have been topped twice hope to flip in a couple weeks.

Well she keeps plumping up slowly, main cola is 7-8" taller that the main canopy, really hoping to avoid this with extra aggressive LST next time around. Taking pictures with flash on is sure a whole lot better! I'm hoping she only has 3 weeks left! Took a few leaves off that were blocking lower bud sites and preventing airflow from hitting mail cola.

Going into flowering is always a special moment and we prepare to do it in the best way to make the plant understand that it is time to become a woman and speed up the start of the formation of the buds. We start with 24 hours of darkness this to give a strong break and sign of change to the plant that understands the change of time and prepares to go into flowering. Our Purple Urkle was worked with a topping x16 buds that worked really well, we have well aligned buds, only something escapes here and there but it is normal. In purple plants it is very interesting to wait for the start of the flower formation when the buds reveal their color and if we have taken the dark phenoripo, we celebrate. Week 13 harvest! The girls are getting 12 hours of darkness before the hang! I can’t control my humidity yet when it’s completely dark otherwise I would’ve gone for a bit longer. My stinkiest frostiest prettiest plants yet…very excited to jar them up!!! And i’ll clean my fan soon too hahaha

Very hot week here so I turned the light down to 75% to manage the heat in the tent. Guava 1 is still showing a phosphorus deficiency but is still bulking up nicely. She is frosty and dense. For being at day56 she is very fast! Guava 2 still needs to swell those buds but it will get there. Frostbanger turned out a beast and is in full flowering mode. Being so tall it will need some support for the buds in the coming weeks. I defoliated the girls a bit and lollipopped frostbanger cutting some insignificant larf at the bottom.

The week was without adventure. I raised CO2.. Now I will give the last week of Vega and translate to flowering. It is interesting to try to give the plant CO2 from the bale from the beginning of the vegetative stage😉
