2024-11-27 to 2024-12-02 The first time I grew Chernobyl, the plant was dense and unruly with thick, lush vegetation. In fact, the plant took up so much room in my tent that I have it to a friend to finish outdoor. It showed signs of bud rot early in the flowering period and luckily, most of it was saved from itself. In addition, the stems of this strain are more hollow and brittle, gaining thickness quickly and making Low Stress Training a difficult task that requires patience when working the branches around the LST clips. I have broken many branches on a Chernobyl plant even when applying care and caution. It requires getting the plant to the shape and size you need early, so that silica can be added to strengthen the branches in prep for those killer nugs. They are taking about .5 gallons of feed every other day.

One more week of growth, the plant looks like it's entering pre-flowering Keeping the LED at a distance of 45cm from the plant. Every two days I also put a CO2 tablet in a glass of water, this water will serve to water the plant with nutrients. Watering is done with 500ml every two days. I already have the PH meter, I learned that I hope I'm not doing anything too wrong, a hug and see you next week.

We have 18 strains running with 2 regular strains, I want to be sure we can fill up the whole SOG. 9/7 - Just to recap last week. 9/5 I transplanted from the 16 oz solo cups into a one gallon 8" tall Active Aqua 6" x 6" Square Pots. Today, I topped and defoliated. Everything is looking good, now just waiting for them to bounce back. Hoping to be ready for flower within next week or two. This is my first run using a modified SOG method, and not sure how long it will take for them to be ready. Ideally I'd like each main growing shoot to be about 12" or so before sending to 12/12. BAD NEWS: Half of the blue diodes have gone out in the TMLAPY light. This light was actually gifted to me shortly after a friend purchased it from Amazon and realized it was too small for their space. It seemed to be serving it's purpose well for vegging photos and running bumper crops of autoflowers but it failed only four months after the warranty period ended! Weak-Sauce! Welp, looks like it's time to upgrade the 24"x48" tent to Samsung LM301H boards. I ordered a 320w straight single piece heatsink with 3 boards from Geeklight. I went with the 3k spectrum and switchable UV/IR since all my autoflowers bloom under this light. 11/16: I potted up the other MPP and moved it into the closet. She's the most impressive seedling I have, and makes the sick crew look pathetic. 11/18: I moved all the flowering finishers into the dark and potted up all the MPP roommates today. They have a little elbow room now...at least for a little while...I still have three more plants to squeeze in with them... 11/20: I fed them and sprayed them with BoomBoom Spray and Axiom today and let it soak in nice and slow under low light with no air circulation. I adjusted the far reds and timers and tonight is their first ever nighttime...I'm exploiting the Emerson effect again this run...hopefully they transition with a switch from 24/0 to 14/10 quicker than they did from 18/6 to 14/10... 11/21: Yowsa! Overnight growth explosion! Guess they needed a nap... 😏

Apologies that this took me so long to update! This harvest was probably my second favorite, after my Choc Mint OG. Even tho the yeild was low due to only having 1 plant after a season on downs.

Läuft prima. 2 fat banana legen sehr gut los. Hab sie entlaubt, damit sie in der Blüte Sonne an den richtigen Stellen bekommt und sie gut belüftet bleibt. Auf den Bildern noch mit Laub. Orion macht weiter ihr turboDing ,ich füttere sie jetzt mehr.sie will es und ich glaub, bei dem Wachstum brauch sie es auch. Also läuft mit den verbliebenen mädels🙂 bis nächste Woche ✌️

12/12 has been initiated. Girls are looking amazing and filled up the trellis really well over the week. The contrast Pheno in the back right still out growing the others. I got the canopy as even as I could possibly get it even with the height differences. Got the light at 12 inch per spider farmer recommendation and light at 50 percent. Aiming for about 28 DLI for first week and will continue to ramp up as weeks progress.

OVERALL: ~ Very happy with the grow, I really dialled everything in well this run. ~ She grew super fast, I put it down to the constant oxygenation of the rootzone along with consistent and constantly optimized light DLI and leaf to air temp variance. The extra Co2 helped push the plant to its limit in terms of heat, allowing it to push its hardest. ~ The lack of HST and Defoliation I feel let it finish faster due to lack of stress and stunting. The faster finishing time along with the big yield and efficient MarsHydro light, it hugely reduced my electricity costs per gram and freed up space much sooner for the next plant. ~ Turned into a very dense bush of buds, there is even smokable dense buds at the base of the plant due to the under canopy lighting (Not as dense as top canopy buds but still decent) ~ Ran a thin line between stressing the plant and letting it flourish. The buds came out big and very dense, also it's hard to see on camera but they're very frosty too (Prob from UVB) YIELD: ~ 145g (dry) in just 9 weeks from seed. ~ 753g (Wet) ~ 0.91g/watt GENETICS: ~ MSNL - Gorilla Glue Auto ~ my favorite strain, as you can tell by my username! STRAIN REVIEW: ~ Heavy hitter, like an indica but has some of that "feel it in your face" sensation of a strong sativa. Not as heavy or as strong as other GG#4's I have smoked, which would make me question the genetics used to produce the auto version. I will wait till after a cure and judge it again. TRAINING: ~ No defoliation or HST (Bar last week for pics) ~ A little LST and leaf tucking but largely just left the plant alone to do its thing. I felt chopping healthy parts off the plant would slow the plant down and leave it with less chlorophyll to photosynthesize the light. ~ I did prune by lightly plucking dead leaves away, when the plant was ready to let them go easily. DRYING ~ 20/21'C 50% RH with air circulation. ~ Homemade Drybox made using: 2 x Bankers Boxes ~ 2 x USB Desk Fans ~ 1 x Carbon Filter ~ 6 x Clothes Hangers UPDATE: Day 5 after Harvest: ~ Fast dried some small batches, as we couldn't wait to sample. ~ Chopped off branches as some are down to 12% moisture whilst bigger buds are up at 18%. Moving to paper bag for couple of days to even moisture out then transferring to jars CURING: ~Curing in jars 3/4 full. ~ Dark closet/18'C/50% RH ~ Jars burped once Hygro passes 65% and sealed when it drops to 58%. ~ Stabilised it at 62% and after 2 weeks I'll drop it some more and stabilise it at 58% to bring out more of the flavour. ~Sitting in jars with Boveda 62% at this stage. ~ Already tastes and feels great. On hand for heavier use (Once every 3 days before lights out for 15 days) in the case of an outbreak (No outbreaks yet, due to aforementioned preventative measures)

Last week really started to PACK on the buds. Really taking off. Just measured the buds to see the week growth. They are all right at 1 1/2" ACROSS. Not vertically. So lets see what the week ends up being. Any guesses? Put em in comments. Ok that's it. No more nutes. She got her last feeding today. Tomorrow I turn her to ph water only and 12/12 hours down from 24 hrs light. 10 days to flush then harvest next Saturday. So it looks as if I may be able to combine my 10 days of flush and my 3 days of darkness by just switching from 24/7 light to a 12/12 schedule. She reacted and pushed out more trichomes in only one night. Interesting Ok so end of week 8 (I know it says 7 but its 8. The germination week counts as week one.) Nothing but 12/12 and a flushing. Will take her next week. Thinking to give her the full 7 days and chop her Saturday. Oh btw the buds are 2 1/4" across now. 3/4 of an inch in a week!

Week 9 the girls really started putting that fade on and bringing out the beautiful colors you see I love this time of the grow nearing the end and we get to see the transformation of these amazing plants
